great initiative. I ended my career working in cybersecurity training and awareness for a large global Bank. Running videos like this is great, but enticing people to watch it by giving prizes is gold. Most people think they know all about scams and how it couldn't happen to them, it only happens to vulernable and elderly people. This is far from the truth. No matter how aware people are, when you're smashed with emails, or smashed with work, stressed in life or just having a down day, its too easy to let your guard down and fall these low-life preditors.
the person doing the cc scams has zero opsec. Not using tails, talking about their crime, using duckduck go. If they're logged into that MacBook then everything they've done would be logged and easy to see if LE has a search. warrant except for the TOR activity. The TOR activity would be hidden, but their ISP would be able to see they've accessed TOR and LE could corroborate that info with the timing of their messages/posts/scams.. they will get busted.
Even more so, every single ISP in Australia reads you a TOS while signing up, it ALWAYS states many times that they can and will give your information and data if requested by the police. Every internet service provider user in the WORLD is connected like leaves on a tree.
I worked with a guy named Troy from Melbourne who was involved in scamming and he told me one time they got log in details to access all the credit card information that a certain chain of hotels used and he ended up getting fired from our company because his police clearance was fake
Interesting video mate, I thought it was difficult to get scammed. Thinking people really can't be that naive. But when these guys target vulnerable people and the elderly, my mind was blown away. How low our society has become.
This video sheds light on some incredibly serious scams affecting Australians, including details of ongoing criminal activities like credit card fraud and scams targeting vulnerable individuals. Given the nature of the admissions by 'Troy' and the other cases discussed, it's highly likely that this video will attract the attention of Australian police authorities for further investigation. The exposure of these operations could be pivotal in preventing future crimes and bringing perpetrators to justice.
The people from the NdIS video you did I feel are scammers. The things that they did to me are just very performative- are trying to make it seem that all they want to do is help the disadvantaged (which may be true) BUT they are also overcharging the government for services they are providing which is why they can afford to wear designer shirts and 500k watches.
@@tomdandymusicandeverythingelse never heard of the word before or what ? 90% of these scams are not very believable cant imagine falling for that amazon scam. but its okay when i turn 70 i will also start complaining about getting scammed on (insert new technology here)

Troy is risking some serious charges. Good luck to him but he'll have to face the music one day when his digital foot print slips up
You keep telling yourself that scamming in particular credit card fraud is a victimeless crime. Is that what make you sleep at night?
Nothing worse than having to call up the bank to flag unauthorized transactions or cancel debit cards
@Steeve1087 agreed. Almost gave me a heart attack from the stress!
