why are heck are you drilling with the acrylic elevated? put it on a flat surface, then drill, and you'll minimize cracking. it's the same with wood, which avoids deformation and more perpendicular holes.

I agree 100%. I was cringing the whole time and wondering when he was gonna hit that decent looking table. I thought he was gonna use that scrap wood for a backer but nope hahaha

This video reminds me of those commercials where the person is obviously trying to make use of some item or process as difficult as humanly possible to use as a comparison to the advertised product.

Wish I look this up before I use a Soldering Iron. I see some minor cracks around the holes after I scrape away the melted plastics.

Drilling plexiglass elevated is like the worst thing ever. That empty space you drill through open to a lot of crackling. You should always drill on a flat surface and start it slowly.

Are you not supposed to support the underside of the perspex with wood to prevent the splits? Plus looks also like you are putting allot of pressure onto it. Take your time.

Surprise surprise. You cracked the plexiglass when you drilled the edge of it while it was 4" off the table with no support. Is that how you drill holes in everything?

No lubricant, no painters tape, no bottom support, and too high rpm's..and stepdrill's are generally better at this...working myself on making a sidepanel for pc case with plexi. This vdo was just funny on what NOT to do. Seems like you're late for something?
