clas of 77" here! i was fortunate enough to discover disc golf in the ealy 80's. i got my first Frisbie for Christmas 1965 (still have it) and have never stopped playing catch / golf ever since. flying disc is a lifetime sport!
@@NickArnette check up on the history of disc golf. Ed Headrick designed what we know as the modern Frisbee while working for Whamo ,designed the first basket and started the pdga and the company DGA which is still family owned to the best of my knowledge. he also designed and help install most of the first 20 Disc Golf courses in the U.S. so yeah, i'd say the Frisbee and Whamo had close ties with all disc sports(along with Discraft). whamo entered the disc golf market with the voyager driver in the 90's but it never went any farther (again ,as far as i know).
Class of '70 here. Y'all look great. Thanks for another great video. I wish I could find a cool place to play. Not playing much here; heat index is 110+ almost every day. Come on Winter!
110+ Oh my gosh! I wonder what discs are like when it's that hot?..., especially the rubbery and silicone discs? They probably melt in the chains! haha!!
Yes, old friends are awesome! I like the Diamond in Opto plastic. I only recently found out they also make it in their base plastic. The Opto Diamond is easy to throw and it holds up well!
Perfect & thanks! I've taken your advice and gone with lighter discs(am 61, slow arm speed and really started playing alot this summer) with great results.

Wow, you have a 1965 Frizbee? That is so cool!! Can't believe Frizbee didn't get involved with disc golf. Keep those discs flying, my friend!!
