  • Each F.P.Journe timepiece is assembled, regulated, and cased by one single watchmaker, who will further be responsible for the timepiece’s performance during its warranty period.
Once the movement has been completed and thoroughly regulated and tested, the watchmaker receives the dial and case for the timepiece.
Seen here, the watchmaker carefully places the dial onto the movement and attaches the hands for the power reserve, seconds, hour, and minutes. Next, the watchmaker carefully places the rubber gasket around the movement (for water resistance), then proceeds to case up the movement and dial. After this phase, the watch will be checked by the watchmaker before it is sent to our Quality Control.
The F.P.Journe Chronomètre Optimum marks François-Paul Journe’s pursuit of creating the optimal time-only chronometer, utilizing all the mechanical components to reduce friction and improve precise timekeeping.
