Everyone loves a good underdog story. The story of starting at the bottom and making it to the top against all odds. But, while those stories typically end happily in movies and books, the endings are not always so rosy in real life.
In the world of wrestling, sadly, many prominent stars have already left us.
Hi guys and welcome to historicly, in todays video, we will see how some of the most iconic wrestlers that died young, would have looked like if they would have lived longer.
Whether you're into the sport or not, it's hard to ignore the mortality rate among professional wrestler. This list is a tribute to those wrestlers that unfortunately, gone to soon.
Let's get started
Featured in our list:
00:59 - Intro
01:52 - Test
02:48 - Yokozuna
03:50 - André the Giant
04:41 - Dino Bravo
05:33 - Brian Pillman
06:28 - Miss Elizabeth
07:27 - Big John Studd
08:14 - David Von Erich
Test would've been 47 years old
Yokozuna would've been 55 years old
Andre The Giant would've been 75 years old
Dino Bravo would've been 73 years old
Brian Pillman would've been 59 years old
Miss Elizabeth would've been 61 years old
Big John Studd would've been 74 years old
David Von Erich would've been 64 years old
Andre the Giant was a kind soul. Thank you for your time and dedication. 😊 So many sad and tragic ways many died from.
Not necessarily.
Yeah, unfortunately many of them gone too young. Thanks Leesa.
No way Andre was going to see 50. His alcohol consumption, refusing treatment for his disease, Paul Wight (Big Show) had the same disease, would be interesting to see how he would function in today's business with the wellness standards in place. It use to be in Andre's contract to have bottles of liquor in the dressing room before matches. Now wrestlers and even staff/road agents get fired if wrestlers are allowed to perform intoxicated. Andre was a young sweetheart that turned into a moody mean and rude older man who was in constant pain. He treated some of the wrestlers, Randy Savage in particular, unfairly by throwing his weight and reputation around. No baby oil? Why don't you take a shower and take care of your hygiene, then others would not have smelled him coming, I mean he was large enough to see him. Getting in matches reeking of liquor, farting on guys in the ring, he was a sweetheart alright. Cussing out fans because they wanted his autograph and he was sick of it. Gee, they bought the tickets those fans to see his shows or eventually see him barely make it to and from the ring for a 30 second match. Part of making millions and being on TV is becoming well known. Goes with the job. Randy Savage was a complete and total professional. Andre would have loved to be as talented in that ring and in his match preparation as Savage was. Andre's pre-match routine was alcohol consumption and playing cards with the boys in the dressing room. Sorry, some things about the Giant that, along with the good stuff everyone that sucked up to him bragged about, there was the not so good sides to him. It's not being harsh or hatred, it's being fair.
@@bigj6143 This video is very well done, but many of these people died from incurable diseases and afflictions that ultimately led to the end of their lives. Without prevention/cures for these things, although they could have lasted a few more years, it’s doubtful they would have lived until the present. Some of these deaths very well could have been prevented but definitely not all of them.
Andre hated macho man in real life because of how savage treated miss Elizabeth. Plus he had beef with the ultimate warrior at the start but before he died they buried the hatchet.
I'll never forget the time I saw Big John Studd in the Detroit Metro airport...back in the late 70's. I wanted so bad to ask him for an autograph, but I was too intimidated....the guy was 6'10" tall! Another great series here....brings back memories, so nostalgic!
Thank you Ben.
Miss Elizabeth is still pretty at 61 if she would’ve been alive today. One of my crushes as a child in the 80s.
Miss Elizabeth was my first crush too. She was a fox for sure.
She was one to age gracefully. She would probably still look beautiful, though older. She would probably have a age-appropriate hair style and a pant-suit rather than miniskirt. A few wrinkles under her eyes, but still a beautiful lady.
I miss you andre... my one and only real giant 😔💔
Real giant is Giant Gonzalez tallest man in Wwe 232 cm
@@mikelplaka9887 it may be, but gonzalez doesn't get to andre's career andre is just the only true giant😉
Friends@ Historicly: You have outdone yourselves 1nce again. Terrific work. THANK YOU 👍🤗✌️
Thank you so much for your support, we appreciate it.
These videos are so remarkable
Thank you so much Jerome
Idk if Test would've grown his long hair back but it is possible since Edge and Chris Jericho did chances are Test could've been in AEW today and Andre the Giant thank you for your work and dedication of how Andre would've looked like if he was still alive in 2022
Thank you so much Jared, glad that you are enjoying our content and thanks for your support.
You got it man hey I wanna see Chyna, and Randy Savage, and etc etc how would they look if they were still alive
@@historiclytv Can you do a video of former ML baseball players who died young, and what they would have looked like if they were still alive? (Example-Gil Hodges, former first baseman for the Brooklyn Dodgers).
@@historiclytv can you do Junk Yard Dog?
I doubt he wouldve had that much gray
Great work. Very interesting.
This is a little bit "freakish" to watch but, compelling at the same time 🥶
thank you so much for these contents , i really miss Test
Thanks so much John
You did another fantastic job on this video.
Thank you grandmama05 😍
Thank for the request guys👏
Your work is amazing. Thank you.
Many thanks! glad that you are enjoying our content and thanks for your support 😍
I think that they got Yokozuna, Miss Elizabeth and Big John Studd down perfect.
Wow great video some true legends in this list
Great video 👍 stay safe 👍
Thanks, you too! 😍
Awesome video. Next video please do The Big Boss Man, Mr Perfect etc.
Thanks so much, we will definitely feature both of them in our next videos. Thanks for the suggestion.
Gosh that was beautiful thank you very much 😊
Thank you David, we appreciate your feedback.
Rest In Peace legends! ✌️ ❤️
My favorite wrestler of all time is Yokozuna. A true legend. Gone far too soon.
You do excellent work 👏. These people look as if they are alive again. Thank you for your hard work and God Bless You.
Thank you so much for your feedback we appreciate it.
Thank you for this video! Wow, well done. This time may I request athletes that died too soon? Like Flo Jo ie… Florence Griffith Joiner, Vytautas Gerulaitis , Authur Ashe, Steve “Pre” Prefontaine, and Bruce Lee among others. And also Pro Wrestler Terry Gordy. Thanks so much . I know this list is eclectic but you’re good at what you do.
Thank you so much, ohh yes, we always welcome your suggestions and we will do our best to work on those asap. Thank you so much for your support.
Len Bias, Dale Earnhardt, Sean Taylor, Roberto Clemente
@@madmanszalinski Roger is still alive.
@@ZealKingdom thank you, edited to say who I actually meant lol
andre looks like a nice giant grandpa who tells his grandchildren great stories and always has a piece of wisdom on his tongue🤣
Oh man i'm so sad 😔💔
Yeah, he looks lovely in the old version doesn't he?
@Historycli your videos are aweseome ❤
Your content is made with so much love and heart I am huge myself suffer from depression and can put myself in the shoes of what it was like to be the freak sad how society is

Thank you so much, we're glad you enjoy our content.
Awesome job. Thank you for doing Miss Elizabeth. When you can please don't forget to do Rosey, Randy Savage, Owen Hart, Scary Sherry, Chyna and Umaga. Looking forward to the next one.
I believe Owen Hart was already done
Thanks Patty, on our previous videos, we have featured Owen Hart, the one where Eddie is featured. While we will definitely work on the others. Thanks for the suggestions.
@@BIGJ03SGPHS Yes, that's correct. Thanks for your comment.
They should add Umaga Big Daddy Viscera Lance Cade Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero Big Boss Man to the list.
@@chriswilliams1024 They aready did to Eddie few weeks ago.
This video made me cry! I loved it. R.I.P to all wrestlers who are no longer with us. God Bless! I wonder what my dad would like today if he was still alive. He passed away in 1995. I miss him dearly.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Hey Edd, our condolences. Please email us a picture on Historiclytv@gmail.com and we will do our best. Thank you.
Another great job 👍
Thank you so much Millard, we appreciate your feedback.
The poor Von Erichs and Harts.
Wow u did not forget my comment and my request last time about test , thank you
Thanks for the idea! We always look forward for your suggestion, but due to our schedule, we may take some time until we publish the videos. Thanks so much for your suggestion.
@@historiclytv I vaguely remember requesting Liz. Thanks also !! ❤️
Wow! Incredible.
Google sarcasm
Only left big boss man
@@historiclytv only big boss man left to do
I always wondered what Andre would've looked liked had he been alive still and seeing how he would've aged over time and to see what he would've looked today at age 75 is breath taking... he would've looked unrecognizable.
Also good job on what Test would've been like too had he been around still along with Miss Elizabeth and Big John Studd too which was nice to see him too had he still been with us.
Great job! Can you do Earthquake Giant Gonzalez, Haek, Randy Savage, mr perfect
Thank you Troy, we will definitely feature all of them in our next video. Thanks for the suggestion.
Test wouldn't look that old. He looks more like he's 67 than 47.
True. This also makes quite a few assumptions with the aging, such as someone remaining severely obese into elderly age and not dying from it prior to reaching that advanced age, and people largely retaining the same hairstyle they had almost 20 years ago as they would have gotten older and likely changed the style of how they dressed/cut their hair to fit with current trends.
And Pillmab looks about 80
Bro I literally wrote the same thing as you. 67 is more like it
@@jonathanpetruzzelli8080 I agree. Pillman wouldn’t have aged that badly.
Test looks way too old in this. He'd be 47 if still alive today, the image in this video makes him look at least 60
Said the same thing.
R. I. P
Brian Pillman
😭😢😭😢😭
Damn test looked way too old there to only be 47 lol
Dino Bravo kinda looks like Freddie Blassie!
Thanks Tom, to be honest, now that i checked, it does look a bit like Freddie. Thanks so much
He was shot 36 times and stabbed 13 times
@@historiclytv Thank you! Keep putting out the awesome content! 🙂
I thought the same thing
Or a combo of Flair & Blassie. Lol
Andre is and always will be hands down my favorite wrestler, R.I.P eighth wonder of the world!
They made Test look 70 and Pillman look 80! Yoko, Elizabeth and Big John Stud seemed spot on!
Seconded on Umaga. Also can you do Kanyon. Earthquake, & Mr. Perfect?
Thank you so much, yeah, just added in our list. Thanks for the suggestion.
awsome video
I really enjoy these videos, from the sweetly sad music to how they are always smiling in the what they would have looked like shots, they look peaceful, happy and free🥀🌈❣️
Thank you so much Jeanette, we appreciate your feedback.
AMAZING!!
Thank you.
@@historiclytv welcome 🙏
Andre was a charming guy and a kind soul...to those he liked 😅. R.I.P. to all these legends. Kerry Von Erich, Macho Man, Ultimate Warrior, Scott Hall, Animal, Hawk, Roddy Piper, Rick Rude and Mr. Perfect. God bless all of these legends.
Forget that test has passaway in 09.
Yeah, that's why we are trying to pay tribute to them with our videos.
Miss Elizabeth was beautiful she still would have been beautiful in her 60s amazing rip miss Elizabeth
I remember Test he used to run with Trish and Albert back in 2000 awww I didnt know he died
WOW .......... Mind Boggling. That took some effort and time to not only get the faces close , But to actually give them Life ????? Bravo, Just Bravo.
Thank you for much for your feedback, we appreciate it.
Typo in your title but good job and have a nice safe day
Wow it's hard to believe that some of these Fallen Pro Wrestlers looks good. Pillman would of been the perfect manager of some type of Tag Team force and Miss Elizabeth would of still have great features and be a manager too.
I really enjoy the sentiment in this video and I know it means well... but I hate it when the image of what they would look like today starts looking around... legitimately creeps me out. love the vid tho !
No way test would have looked that old today.
Yeah I know he looks like he’s in his mid sixties not forties. Maybe people age differently?
May they all Rest… In…. Peace.
Brian Pillman would've been exactly like that before he train and have Jr debut AEW. I really miss you man
i love how Jr. paid homage to his dad n used the moniker or title from the Hollywood blonds to the Varsity Blonds very kool
Amazing!!
Thank you so much!
That was beautiful and haunting. An unguided tour of the uncanny valley
Whoa awesome magnificent work i'am impressed it's very wonderful but forgett bruiser Brody Chris Adams and Terry gordi greetings from mexico 😞😢😭
Thank you so much for your feedback, we appreciate it.
Test. Wow. I didn’t even know he died. RIP
Am I the only one who finds this a little creepy?? There's just something freaky in the way the aged images blink and smile with that blank look in their eyes. 😳
They look around as if someone has slipped an acid into their drinks , it’s unsettling lol
@@glasgowgee5323 That sounds like one hell of a trip😂. I want some.
I wanna thank you for adding Brian Pillman to the list. But I think when you added his biography, you had a picture of his son who is named Brian Zachary Pillman who goes by the name of Brian Pillman Jr.
Ohh really! that may be the case, thanks so much for pointing it out 😍
im friends with melanie pillman...brian's widow...i showed her this video ...she said her husband would never look like that today..she even said brian NEVER had mustache in his whole life....5 0clock shadows..but not a full blown mustache...she thought it was hilarious and laughed...jus thought you should know.
David von erich would only have been 64
Yes, somebody added the ages incorrectly
A couple of the ages at death are incorrect...Andre was 46 when he died, not 47, and Elizabeth died at 42, not 43. This is due to the fact that they hadn't made it to their actual birthdays in the year they died. Andre would've turned 76 this year, while Liz would've turned 62.
Thank you so much for pointing this out, and yes, you are correct, i just rechecked that.
Andrew Test Martin died at 33 cuz i member hearing n reading bout it online.
It's so eerie!
Too bad about Yokozuna. I would have thought he would lose some weight if he'd lived on since that was what practically caused his passing...
Yeah, but based on sci data, people gain weight when they get old and we took that in consideration. Good point though, thanks so much 😍
Historicly, thank you for all the hard work. Amazing video. Next video on rock stars can you please include Layne Staley from AIC, thank you.
Great suggestion! We will definitely do a video where we will feature Layne Staley very soon. Thanks so much for the support 😍
Razor Ramon just died. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, You should do him next for sure. I've been wondering how different that he would look today had he not passed away before his time. That's crazy!!!
Excellent job! But my Mother and I met Andre the Giant and his eyes were a bright blue, not brown. He was a very sweet soul. May he and the other wrestlers rest in peace.
Thank you Terry, bet it was amazing meeting him. Can you please tell us who's eye colour we got wrong?
@@historiclytv Oops!! We met Andre the Giant. My Mother asked if he was exploited a lot. He was a friendly soul too!
@@terrybardy2848 Thank you for replying to us, when we feature him again we will make sure to get the eye colour right.
@@historiclytv Thank you!!!👍👏😁
damn these were pretty interesting to see. would love to see the likes of Randy Savage, Bad News Brown, Big Boss Man, Earthquake, Davey Boy Smith, Sensational Sherri, Woman, Chris Benoit, Paul Bearer, Shohei "Giant" Baba, Bruiser Brody, Kerry Von Eric, Mike Von Eric, Crush, Rocco Rock, Johnny Grunge, Chris Candido, Louie Spicolli, Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig, Sweet Sapphire, and Mitsuharu Misawa

Thanks so much
Dino Bravo looks like Ric Flair. I would like to see one of these with Hercules Hernandez and Adrian Adonis.
I saw Bob Barker in him at first believe it or not lol.
Thank you for your suggestions, we appreciate them.
Still waiting on the Junkyard Dog, and Bad News Brown.
Thank you, we are working our way down the list and they will be featured on our upcoming videos.
Do one on Curt Hennig, and Ultimate Warrior,
Y'all did a bang UP Job when it came to ANDRE THE GIANT ‼️DUDE LOOKS NOTHING LIKE HIM 🤷🏽
Love yoko he was best friend of taker RIP big brotha 🙏
Overall great video
But where is the Junk Yard Dog ?
Hey Derrick, haven't forgot to include Junk, but it may be that in the next video, because if we feature more people in one video, it gets too long and probably monotonous for the viewers. Thanks so much for the suggestion 😍
He's dead
What makes you think this is what they would look like today ? I love the content. Not hating by no means
Thank you Scott, our content is created for entertainment purposes only.
Crazy that Andre would be younger than Vince
Those moving pictures are freaky.. Yokozuna looking like Joe Pesci
We will miss you all R.I.P. I hope to see you soon 😭😭😭I got liver cancer
Sending you love and prayers.
Wow, the older version of Big John Stud looks like my dad lol.
Miss Elizabeth sorta resembles the mom ( Jill) from Home Improvement
Yeah, she looks a bit like her, i mean she was great though. .
she kinda does
The older version reminded me a bit if Meryl Streep
Damn they made Test look like he was in his 60s or 70s I don't think he would have been that old.
Andre's was chilling.
Wow! Are you seriously going to do the whole list I gave you? That would be great!
Hey Jeffery, we are working on ore videos so keep an eye on our channel. Thank you
@@historiclytv you know I will!
I don't think Andre would have looked like that....some of them I can definitely say, " I think they got it right"... but not Andre.
I think Andre would've had more hair for one.
Thank you Bill for your feedback, we appreciate it.
Yeah it didn't have that distinct andre look to his face.
Yokozuna my moms fave. RIP 😍
David Von Erich was so sad because if only Kevin had 1 surviving brother.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 legendary 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Good job. most looked very believable. Test looked 57 rather than 47 but still realistic.
Thank you.
Some to accurate than others
Thanks so much!
Yay! Test!
David Von Erich born in '58 would be 74 today? Ha Ha
We missed it, didn't we? ahahah. thanks for pointing that out.
Wow Andre. I would not imagine (or does it) if he ever confront the Big Show on the Attitude Era. Before he retire, Andre will call his WM Battle Royal match The Giant Battle Royal instead of Memorial from Hulk Hogan
I don't think Andre would have lost a hair on his head. He had a very good head of hair with no recession.
David would of been 64. Not 74.😊
Thank you. Really enjoyed it.
👌
@ 3:03...OBEY!!
I think Big John Stud and Brian Pillman seem so real. Who do y’all think are the most realistic?
Just in time for Wrestlemania
wow...interesting on how it could have been...maybe
As cool as it is seeing these wrestlers and what they would've looked like had they lived, you have to take into account a few factors. Most wouldnt have the body size they once did. YOKOZUNA would've had to lose much of his weight to even live for another few years, much less decades. Andre was doomed to die at a young age because of his "giantism". Even if he ate better and stopped drinking massive amounts of alcohol, he would have died from all the muscle and back issues related to his size. Many of the "aged" pictures show the wrestlers with their old physiques which probably wouldn't be there. There's also the fact that people age differently. Some people look nearly the same now as they did 20 years ago, while some can age decades in only five years.
I think the most accurate "before and after" picture has to be "Miss Elizabeth". She was one to age gracefully and she would probably look great, but still older, complete with the age-appropriate hair.
Brian Pillman looks like 75 than 60.
Thanks for the comment Calvin, well, that's good to know, we will try and make the featured people in our video a bit younger.
@@historiclytv That O.K. Keep Up the Great 😃👍 Work.
I guess the lifestyle Brian lived if he lived on would have aged him drastically... 🤔
@@mcgannahanskyjellyfetti6854 Yeah, we take in consideration lifestyle too, and one of the reasons why we aged Brian was that. Thanks
