I traded my max ls for a triple diamond this year. It’s.. good. Not a day and night difference but the new stuff, as expected, is slightly better. Hard to accurately compare as I have a premium shaft in my current club and the old Max was stock. I also went from a 9 degree head to an 8. I think the face is slightly hotter on new compared to old? I definitely like the new sound better. I’m liking the smaller head on the triple diamond compared to the Max LS. My dispersion is similar. I occasionally used to hit this super knuckly fall out of the sky duck hook with the Rogue. I still occasionally hit it with the Smoke but it goes a little further into the trees now. And it sounds better doing it. All in was it worth the upgrade? No, but I don’t regret it and would prob do it again. Today’s price of $800CAD before tax for stock driver is nuts. If I remember correctly the Rouge was $600.
I quit playing for 10 years and picked it back up last October. I’m already shooting consistently in the mid 80s from the tips. The Triple Diamond Ai Smoke has helped me so much. I’m a natural straight ball to fade biased driver so this helps me retain distance. I went from a 10.5° Stealth to a 9° Stealth 2+ to a Qi10 LS 9° and then to a Qi10 core 10.5°. I couldn’t control those drivers at all. Tried a used Rogue St Max LS and really liked the feel of the Callaway driver. Decided to take a chance on the triple diamond and it has helped me get much further down the field and put me into scoring opportunities. If I swing light, I average 280-290 total. If I go after them I get up to 320. Complete game changer on a 450 yard par 4 to be able to have a knockdown PW or full 50° into the green rather than a 7 iron. I prefer the heavy weight at the back though. However i really have to be mindful of face control because it makes it a little harder to turn it over.
Best driver for a natty draw player. Luckily got my hands on one. Best driver for me since the og SIM. Love that I can hit a baby draw again. Struggled with the Paradym triple diamond since last year because of it wanting to fade on me. Couldn’t be more happy with this one.
I’m watching while I’m typing. But similar to what the ping 10k did; sits in between the max and lst for spin while retaining forgiveness. I know you guys didn’t like the ping 10k too much but it’s been my favorite driver of all time. Callaway doing a good job will def try it
I have the AI smoke triple diamond and triple diamond max and they are both great drivers but they are terrible with the heavier weight in the front. I tried the heavy weight in the front and sounds really bad and the ball didn’t go anywhere compared to weights reversed. The triple diamond max is a better driver for me, I hit straight bombs with it! Probably picked up 10-15 yards of carry and I can turn it over a lot easier.
great stuff... the best driver is the AI Smoke, but change the front weight to the 7g or 14g and it will take the spin off, then adjust the back weight accordingly for shot shape.
I put this driver straight in the bag with a Velocore Ventus black. Great driver - i have been hitting bombs. I also game the TM BRNR mini driver and that is also a weapon off the tee and the deck. It would be interesting if you could do an AI smoke mini driver review
Love the video format and the discussions, but no driver in the world will display its forgiveness/spin control/etc when you're swiping across the ball with an open face. Are you the guys doing the fittings?
Compare it with the rogue st max ls!

I do like this driver

I randomly tried this a couple of weeks ago. Extremely easy to hit and goes a long way. Just expensive lol
nice

I would like to see you try it with the weights swapped around
we will
This is a true, every-man’s review
Cream city shout out 5 minutes in. Love it before before the first drive is hit!!!
Let’s see a big Bertha review! New one vs your 04 version. That would be a cool video
Absolutely love this and fantastic format
thanks!
I bought this driver about a month ago and it’s amazing. You guys need to change the weights back to stock
your right
I got this driver on June 7th. It replaced last years triple diamond
Hopefully you guys do one with the Titleist GT driver coming out and compare both.
Yes we already have our fitting scheduled
I think the ZX5 LS is a good example of a forgiving head made into an LS
I really wanna try that one
If u move the heavy weight forward then adjust the loft up a degree or 2, it should be a high launch low spin Diver
The weight system is similar to darkspeed x.. how do they compare?
Very nice driver.
Should test it with the Pxg black ops driver…
“I love it when you warm up with the mic on” 😂
haha

Yes
I cant believe their going from something this gorgeous, to a matte crown and epic green color again in 2025 🤦
I don’t see this on their website
Saying controlled haven’t seen one yet
Compare it to the TD so we can see the difference between the two
good idea
@@embersgolf I actually have both but can’t decide which one to keep sometimes the regular TD seems better to me.
Get a shaft in it that suits your swings gents, thats far too much shaft imho
The use of the driver torque wench on those weights makes me cringe...
Funny how players think they are “too good” to have the Callaway chevron on the head
I'll buy the demo head. I mean, if we're throwing it out there......
You can if you want.
Both swings very over the top. It’s not the club lol
Sadly this driver is sold out and you can no longer order it.
get a head with 9 or 10.5
Useless video when neither of you can hit the face
That’s kind of the point of the channel. How do clubs perform for average golfers
@@embersgolf no one can learn anything from this lack of data, sorry
it only in right handed....BS lol
The best driver is the GT2 it’s not even close
