    Herbert doesn’t look different. He’s been like this. He had a GM (Telesco) that couldn’t build a team around him. Always top heavy with 0 depth. And terrible coaches (Lynn, Staley) that never got the most out of the team.
    Herbert has been slighted because he “can’t win” but when guys like Burrow have a losing season it’s “I feel bad for him”. People are finally seeing Herbert as the top 5 QB that he is.. and I love it.

    • @hirolla74
      @hirolla74 19 дней назад

      Yup. As a Charger fan, Telesco was the main reason we never had dept in other positions of need. He was Coupon God whenever we got a splashy FA. So what? No dept behind him. Telesco couldn't draft a mid tier OL for Rivers in River's last 5 years. Still Rivers' put up great stats with NOBODYS. Herbert was handcuffed the same way with Lynn, Staley and Lombardi (OC). Herbert wins SB with CIN if he was there, otherwise it's coaching that makes the team. Harbaugh and Hortiz is a God send.

  • @Boltsup1975
    @Boltsup1975 21 день назад +13

    I'm kinda confused. Herbert looks the same as he has his whole career. There jas finally been a commitment to building depth and running the ball, and of course that defense is pretty good too. We'd started every season saying "they could win a superbowl if they stay healthy" right before half the team gets injured. They let those receivers go, found some money and started bringing in quality veterans to create depth across the team. And of course they killed the draft, that helped too.

    Tip: When doing the "Chalk Talk" and you draw the motion of someone (ex. Safety or WR) .... You draw the line in the direction then you add a "STOP" to the end of it. (Think of a 'T in a Line going up with a stop at the top instead of an arrow - You need arrows when showing a direction of travel.)'. This is usually used for describing blocks, as in the Guard goes here and 'STOPS" this man (also doesn't become illegal man downfield on pass plays). So, when you want to say a WR does this and you draw a line, don't end it in a 'STOP', but in an arrow. The safety goes this way (Arrow - Not a stop).
    Sorry. Old coach and teacher in me. ;P
    Hope it helps. I am certain it will help followers understand what you mean.

There isn’t a bunch of 3rd round guys to project as day 1 interior starters due to an insanely talented class… in fact experts say last year we had 35-40 1st rd talents and this year the number is around 8-10 guys total. We need to use that last year of Harbaugh inside knowledge to snag a 4th round center that nobody had on their radar IE: TARHEEB still is the 24th overall pick in the nfl redraft and Ladd is 20 with alt staying at 5. We need another draft where we hit on 3 first round talents… a TE like Warren priority 1, an edge, DT, ILB, or another DB2, and sign tee Higgins for 30M a year with an out after 2 years

Let’s be honest he’s a guard prospect he’s not going before 3 other tackles… if that’s the case I trade next years 1st to move up and grab our playmaker in Warren the next pick or right before it. We need a stellar TE and we can get an edge in round 2 as we likely lose bosa and Mack. Bosa isn’t worth the $$ and a trade after June 1st gives us another 18M in cap so 96M overall vs -59M last season.
      Get Tee Higgins for 3 years 90M 60 guaranteed, get the 2nd best interior guy for under 8M a year over 2-3 years, MAYBE resign Mack or keep bosa on a reduced 1 year 17.5M plus incentives like 500k per sack and 5M for playing 70% of the seasons snaps
