The GeForce 2MX was my first card, after a 3Dfx Voodoo 3 and it was quite an improvement. It brought T&L to the masses by being so much more economical than the GeForce 2GTS (or Ultra). I think the one that really changed the industry the most was the next generation, the GeForce 3, which introduced pixel shaders and vertex shaders, no matter how basic they might have been.
@@shdon never had much experience with the GeForce 3. Over here it was never too present. I remember the market practically going from GF2 to GF4 here. The ti4200 along with the 4mx were everywhere. Yeah, I understand your point of view.
I had the Hercules Geforce 2 MX, it had 183 mhz RAM instead of the spec'd 166. Popped it in my duron 700 and played the hell out of Alice, Max Payne, etc. etc.
@@DeckardGames You're welcome, I have it in a 2001 Sony VAIO, which was quite an expensive PC at the time. Were there any more powerful Nvidia cards at the time?
Did you used a Geforce MX in the past? What was your experience?

I had the Geforce 2 MX 400 64MB, it was a nice option at the time
I went with the mx400 too.

Thank you my friend 😉
Great vid!
Thank you.
I very much approve your profile picture!
There is an error, the original MX has a 128 memory bus bandwitch, not 64 bits.
It had both depending on the model.
@@DeckardGames 64 bits were ddr, so equivalent of 128 bits sdr.
@@alaricjeard269 all info was gathered at vgamuseum 😉
Shit....I was a pc gamer around that time....I am getting old....
Cool video...as always!!!!
I have one and made a couple of videos on it! And great video; what an important card!
