- If your Bowl and Tray bit is not set up correctly, you might have wider rounded corners at the top of your pockets. This is easy to fix!

In the main toolpaths tab screen below the vcarve and 3d toolpaths options there is what looks to be router bits, that is the main screen for all of your tool database options as well.
Soo.....how did it help anything just by renaming the bit? I didn't see any advantage to the toolpath.
It has to do with the rounded edges you get at the top/surface of the pocket when using a bowl and tray bit. It's a parameter change, not just renaming it. Should be easy for you to do a test yourself to see the difference.
