Just one question I also got the momentum 3 based on internet reviews. Personally I dont have that much experience with wireless earbuds and I got the feeling that sometimes the momentums could be a little bit louder. The sound quality I absolutely perfect no question but what do you think about the volume?

I know I’m late but I’m new to the channel. I love the feedback and in depth reviews. Just purchased these. You and floss and my go to RUclipsrs! Love the channel. Love the disclaimer at the end.
Was able to A/B test them at the store. Both are really good devices. I choosed B&O EX cause of soundquality. And they took away my carnoise (old diesel) when I drove. Would be happy with both of them, but B&O EX had better fit in my ears, and better sound. So clear in every specter of the music. Try Leprous with the song "Have you ever?", big bass, clear mids and clear highs at the same time. I love these :) And I will live with a little less ANC than Sennheiser. Went from Sony XM4 to B&O EX. Though Sony got better ANC, I used 3-4 minutes to get the in my ears. With B&O EX I use just a few seconds. Same with the Sennheiser as well, easy to put into the ear. Again: two premium devices, premium sound, but B&O EX had even more premium sound in my ears.
Can you please let me know how much better does the B&o ex sound than the sennheiser momentum 3. Scale from 1-10. I would really appreciate your feedback.
After the sound personalised new firmware on the momentum 3 I have side by side tested both for an hour. The sennheiser are just as clear , better bass, wider richer soundstage and much louder if needed. Bought both from amazon and just about to return the B&O.
B&O have never performed up to their price point. For $400 earbuds it should be the gold standard in every arena. You could stretch and make am argument that the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro are a vastly better deal given the entire package. Sennheiser was smart to bring their flagship earbud price down to 250. That is very reasonable for all of what you get. B&O charges an extra 150 purely off the strength of their brand lol

The momentum 3 came out right after I got the Sony xm4, I bought the momentum 3 and i prefer the sennheiser by far. Louder, more bass, more comfortable in ear.
I bought the XM4's in December, and I reeeeaaally wish I knew these were coming out, because other than great ANC/Ambient mode and call quality my Soundpeats H1's dominate over the XM4's in sheer volume and ball-rattling bass. Sigh. Anywho, my name is David, and I'm out this b*tch.
Great reviews JEFE! I own BeoplayEX myself and the TW momentum 2's and to be honest the ANC is very subjective in my opinion. Its great to test them to see which one is better than the other one, but when you have the ANC on, and the music is playing I am deaf no matter which modern headsets or earphones I use since all of them have come to an acceptable level of ANC. (speaking of the more higher end brands such as B&O and sennheiser. I recently tested my EX's out as I was driving a forklift that is very noisy, its levels of noise is 105db and I could hear next to nothing when the music was playing. I could hear the engine roar, but I think that was more of the vibrations from the engine than the sound waves itself. the level of sound quality they manage to produce in such tiny devices is amazing, they both sound like you are wearing over ear headphones while using them. Sennheiser and B&O is my two go-to brands even though I am a student and SONY or BOSE would be the most sane choice thinking of price, but to be honest what you pay extra for these brands is more than worth it, I would rather save for three years to afford new headsets from these brands than go right out and buy the others!
Sennheiser is much cheaper than BeoplayEX so I gave up on buying Senn. The sound quality of Senn will not disappoint you. These TW inears are consumable. Once their batteries wear out, we dump them.
I’ve has several pairs of headphones over the years starting in 1976. I appreciate all the comparisons between the 2 options here but for me, sound quality is king. After some research I went with the ex for my first pair of wireless buds. I was able to get them at a discount so that helped. As far as sound quality, I can’t imagine anything sounding better than these as far as top to bottom balance and sound staging.
yep I too went with the EX and they have that magic reproduction where sometimes I'll hear something in a song and my brain will think I'm hearing something in the room. I haven't experienced a set of headphones that could do that since I had my original pair of Hifiman RE0 all amped up. Man those things had the best imaging. I don't even care that the build quality on the RE0 was crap I want them to bring it back.
@@peeperpawsmcgee they’re no reviews comparing them to the Jabra 75t. Maybe because the 75t are discontinued. I’ve been comparing the sound of the 75t to Beoplay EX and to my untrained ear , they sound similar but the Jabra sound just a bit better in certain songs. But they are fantastic sounding.
@@deyh5664 are there great sounding earbuds in the $200 -$300 range which sound better than Jabra 75t? I’m always met with silence when I ask that question. I’ve tested only a handful of wireless earbuds and so far the 75t sound the best to me. No! They’re not perfect and sometimes they sound bass heavy but I wouldn’t say they don’t sound good at all.
I have both. ANC is close enough that either works for me. I'm rarely in noisy environments though. I just need to block out typical family noise when I'm working. The Sennheiser is better however. Volume is more than adequate for both. Sound quality with music IMO is noticeably better with the Sennheiser. I haven't thought much about rank and rate between the two, but I can say that I reach for the Sennheiser first ever time, then the Galaxy Buds pro, and lastly the 1more. That's most telling for me since it's just behavior and not something I'm thinking about every time.
Never satisfied with 1more product since their triple driver. It's like they don't have sound signature. I'm leaving my sony wf-1000xm4 because of this MTW3
How does the Status Audio Between Pro stack up against these based on sound quality alone? For reference on my personal taste, I find the treble on the mtw3 a bit too sharp or high pitched when it comes to cymbals and guitar strums. Be it I am sensitive to high treble. How would these 3 stack up with that being considered? Thanks as always Jeff!
@@SoulDuJour Yup but it didn’t make a difference to the min volume. If you like loud music it’s fine but I enjoy listening quietly in bed as I go to sleep, so it was just too much for me.
Good comparison review, Man! Thanks a lot! I was wondering, whether taking one bud out of your ear pauses a playback on any of these buds or not? Also, off the top of your head, could you compare the volume level of these with Sennheiser CX400BT, I happen to own. I'm thinking about upgrading and volume level is one of my gripes.
@@trilingualkid The Beoplay case probably feels more premium but it's going to be in a worse condition down the road due to scratching and scuffing. Metal is not the ideal material for the case. The Sennheiser case is the perfect build.
My beoplay ex case scratches with packets of chewing gum in same pocket.. I preferred the EQ case personaly. Ex are excellent headphones tho. I liked the mtw 2 case but slightly bigger than I'd like

Great video as always. I have the beoplay eq. I wish they were a little louder. Was thinking about the Ex. Is the ex louder than the eq? Or about the same? And does the ex sound better than the eq?
I used the EQ before and have recently upgraded to the EX. They aren't louder but noticeably better in terms of comfort - doesn't even compare! - as well as the sound. Hard to believe but the instrument separation / clarity has become better and there've been improvements overall on the sound. It sounds more put together somehow while the sound stage has become wider. The ANC is not as good as Sony etc though but that's not a major factor for me. It cancels most sounds very well, especially much better when something is played. Don't know why but even just listening to an audio book on low volume cancels a lot more than just having them in with nothing playing. In regard to loudness: I've heard from a few friends who have used their iPhones with earbuds that they weren't loud enough. Turns out there are a few setting changes that might help: 1. iPhone Settings -> "Sounds & Haptics" -> "Headphone Safety" and toggle "Reduce Loud Sounds" to "off" (When listening with Spotify:) 2. go to Spotify settings -> "Playback" -> toggle off "audio normalisation" 3. go to Spotify Settings -> "Audio Quality" -> and choose "very high" quality for any listening/data situation. That helps the loudness as well apparently. Those steps worked on my H95, EQ and EX very well :) Hope it helps you, too
I'm rewatching your comparison video and I have to say there is not too many videos on the MTW 3 as at least I would've thought, since it's been 2 years waiting. Probably more in other languages than English for sure. The Evo and b&o have been getting more looks.

Hey bro, Need some help finding the right buds for me. I previously had Bose QC’s and loved the sound profile but didn’t like that it couldn’t be tweaked for different genres and they are HUGE. Next I got Liberty pro 3’s…great sound , very customizable and lots of FAT BASS, except they cut out constantly during listening…two sets in a row! I just caught this stream today and I was wondering how the sennheisers stack up Bass wise to the Bose? I mean,I know Bose ANC is the best and sound quality is great too , in my opinion. Everything I heard on the stream really sounds good to me but I’m a Bass head like yourself and it would be great to have as much as the soundcore but it’s not game killer for me. I also really like the app and all the customization on the sennheisers. My only concern would be if I’d be happy w/the bass response. Do you think if I liked the bass on the Bose QC’s I’d be happy with what sennheisers offer? Thanks
@@ryanjackson7777 did you adjust the eq in the app to increase the bass to maximum, Bottom right in the circle? Maybe try listening to the mw08 if you can as everyone says it has powerful, punchy high quality bass.

the MTW3 is definitely a good buy for its price if it doesn't break. I'm currently on my thrid one since the previous two both had chip noise after using for more than 6 months. To me that's bearable, but still a red flag for other long term users I guess.
In my experience, all TWS earbuds have a short lifespan . Something always happens with this things. I bought the MTW 3 today after my Jabra Elite 75t 'broke again. I have read many reports that the MTW 3 break down too often. For this reason I insured my new earbuds this time for a small surcharge. Now I don't have to worry about having to buy new earbuds myself again.
B&O products can look tempting but I have never bought any of them because of their over the top pricing. Also with TWS buds, the weaker ANC is a dealbreaker.
You are totally right about that price tag but I'm gonna be honest, I got them and boy they do make you feel that the 400 dollars was well spent. The ANC definitely lacks behind some other TWS, but it isn't that of a setback to out weight the preformsnce in sound quality . Only disadvantage is loosing them, then yeah you loose a 400 dollar toy.

I'd easily take 3 pro for sound over the mtw2 but for me the mtw2 had some of best transparency mode I've used amd that is a huge feature for me at work altho the 3 pro and 2 pro + do decent job

What size fin do you use with M3 and tip? I went strait in with what came on it but I feel like I can get them more comfortable . I have large ears also
I kept the provided Fin and used my MTW 1 tip instead. These buds are rocking. I'm at 56% volume jamming. I think Jeff says they crank up to about 117db... That's stupid Loud. It's Louder the MTW 2 and seems louder than the MTW 1 which had great sound quality just awful Quality overall, Quality Control Issues that is.
I also kept the original wings and tips in place. I tried the others as well but these fit my ears best. Be sure to try them all yourself to ensure a proper fit.
El jefe, i've tried the EQs and I'm currently trying the MTW 3. These are almost perfect. The noise cancellation is surprisingly strong, it blows the EQ outa the water. The problem is, nothing sounds so good against the EQ. Now on a budget of 250$, do you think that the Technics AZ-60 would be a good middle ground (interms of sound and ANC), or should I stick to the MTW3?
If you liked the sound of the EQ then do it once and do it right, get the EX. Don't be like these people that buy 2 or three $200 dollar buds cos they don't want to spend $400 but instead end up spending $600 chasing the holy grail. The eq should be discounted now/soon.
@@emalior5000 I understand, what I did not mention is that I have a period of 14 days to return the earbuds I buy and get a refund, so at the end I'll end up paying only for 1 earbud. I just do not think that the EQ are worth a 150$ more than the MTW and I'm planning on buying a pair of earbuds for around 250$.
You’re both right on the buying too many buds thing. I get a lot through Amazon just due to the 30 day return, but a few pairs I end up keeping because I like the different sound experience each gives. I am yet to find THE ultimate earbuds which I’ll be happy with for a couple of years. If I could combine the EX sound, with XM4 noise cancelling, iPod Pro ambience mode, with Jabra level call quality and multipoint (2 active, 8 stored), and LG FP9 feature set (with wireless charge as well), I’d be set.
Love your reviews! I am in the market for a new set of in ear headphones and considering getting rid of the wires for a more tangle free life 😊 Considering the Sennheiser Momentum TW3. My priority is sound quality (and maybe to some extent ANC) and not the millions of different more or less useful features offered by today's wireless headphones. I find lots of comparisons between different models and makes of true wireless headphones, but NONE between a wireless headphone and a comparable wired one. That would be a real interesting comparison I think. How much do I actually lose on sound quality with wireless. Let's say the Sennheiser Momentum TW3 vs the wired Momentum. Any plans for that or is it a stupid idea? 😃
The reason you don't see many wired vs wireless reviews is due to the fact that 99.9% of the time the wired IEMs or headphones will win. To be fair, Bluetooth technology has come a LONG way in the past few years. But we are still waiting for either Qualcomm or Apple to revolutionize this technology by moving us past Bluetooth into something that can truly transmit hi-res quality audio wirelessly. Lots of rumors around Apple making moves towards that but sadly nothing concrete at this time.
I have a strange question Boss… Why do you bought the B&O? What was your reason to not discard them? From the perspective that you ask for the review units to the other companies and not the EX. Is just curiosity, because I really want to believe the Beoplay has something unique in sound quality, but for all the comments the TWM3 is the best in every category.
1. Because I have a channel dedicated to testing the latest true wireless earbuds. 2. Because I still need them for further comparison testing. 3. I actually DID ask B&O for a review sample. They did not provide one so I bought it myself. 4. I prefer the Beoplay EX for sound quality. But the MTW3 is the better option all-around. Sound quality is nearly as good and they beat the EX for all the other features except multipoint.
I am trying to decide between these two earbuds. From reviews the MTW3s seem to be the better all around option especially for the price but if money is not a concern and the listener wants the best SQ then the B&O EX is the better option. I primarily use my earbuds for commuting, the gym, and occasionally flying. I mainly listen to electronic, rap, and R&B. I would say I am a bass head when it comes to ear buds because I want energetic music for the gym and a punchy bass. I need an earbud that I don't have to worry about falling out while doing movements at the gym and hopefully something that will remain comfortable after long hours of listening for plane rides. I keep on being drawn to the B&O EXs for their SQ, comfort, and design even though it has some downsides especially at that price point. I already have studio grade headphones and custom IEMs for accurate at home listening, yet something still draws me to the B&O EXs despite the price difference and flaws such as its ANC. I've heard the MTW3s are more targeted for bass head listeners so I am leaning towards those at the moment. What would you recommend?

At last someone has got a black pair of MT3's just like mine :) Most reviewers have gone for graphite and a couple for white but none for black!!! I enjoyed the comparison - the BO EX are certainly top notch but imo not worth $100 more than the MTW3's. Fingers X'd Sennheiser update the firmware to include multipoint as they say they will. I'd also like to see a gaming mode and a 5 or 7 band equaliser in a future firmware update if that's possible.
Hi. I have a question. When I try to use the Sennheiser momentum true wireless 3 I have a pairing issue. The right earbud turns of after 1.min. The left earbud play music but right bud is dead. Tryed factory reset but when I get them connected again the same issue comes back. Did you have issues like this?
It seems that everytime I try to charge my Beoplay EX overnight, the left earbud would charge to 100% but the right earbud would only charge to 81-86% even though the case has plenty of battery left. It's been like this since I got it two weeks ago. Have you had any similar experiences?
I found this problem, very heavy user, and in the end made me say goodbye to them, I’ve had a lot of earbuds, and in terms of sound B&O unreal yet to try sen mt3
I personally bought these two and I have a few cents on the comparison as well. Sound wise they are quite generic to their own brand's sound signature, but then you can always play with the eq to your own liking. The EX could produce more accurate and clear mid and highs (instrument is amazing),base is a bit punchy but feels a bit restrained/held back, while MW3 is more to the warmer side, mids and highs are bold and rich and I find the sound stage on the MW3s a bit wider. I could go on forever to compare these two,but in short MW3 is definitely a steel for its price tag, while the EX is more of a luxury option.
Does the bass on the EX still sound restrained with the eq setting on maximum bass? I listen to chill tech EDM mainly and the bass line is very important but I want quality punchy articulate bass over loud but boomy monotone bass. Thanks 👍
@@emalior5000 The eq could only do so much if the driver inside the earbud can't produce the bass you'd want from them. When I turn the eq to the warm setting ( low treble, high bass) the bass sounds more pronounced but lack that body and depth that you'd get from MW3. I personally listen to pop and rap so the MW3 is perfect for me, EX is kinda for classics and acapella imo. I'd say have a listen to both of them before buying cuz everyone's eyes are different afterall.
@@gwafitz If I'm not mistaken metal is more on the mids and highs and has a higher emphasis on instruments, so EX would be the earbud of choice, on paper at least. I find EX's sound stage a bit strange, you can clearly hear every distinct instrument around you but it sounds kinda shallow ( far but not loud enough to deliver). I seen mixed reviews when it comes to EX vs MW3 in terms of sound so take my opnion with a grain of salt.
Hey bro about the mt 3: the right earbud when you touch it like you were to adjust the fitting, does it cut off compared to the left? Almost like the right is very sensitive to the touch compared to the left. I don't think this is common since i did the same thing with other earbuds. Just wanted to know if this happens to you.
Even when I had my old e8s sometimes I would like the senheisers for the more powerful sound but when I would go back to my trusty b&os I would notice a somewhat quieter yet more detailed sound. It’s nice to switch back and fourth to find what you like. I just ordered the ex’s because my senheisers mtw3’s were defective as all my senheisers were in the past, the b&os have always been more reliable to me
Are the sennys good for casual gaming ? I play pokemon unite and clash Royale and I had the cx plus and returned them du the the latency while gaming but they sounded so good. Are these better ?
I mean sure we're talking here in Europe €399 B&O vs €249 for the MTW3. The differences in my opinion are marginal but price to feature ratio is the MTW3 for me hands down. I'm an owner of the MTW3 and one of my annoyances is because the ear buds are a smaller form factor than the MTW2, I keep hitting the touch when putting them in and positioning them. Also to mention, while multi point isn't available yet you can pair with other devices but only use one at a time, which is good enough for me. Just have to remember to switch to the device I want to use in the app. It's nice to see a good review though that isn't comparing everything to the AirPod Pros like they're the earbuds to beat.
I appreciate you sharing your perspective as an owner of the MTW3. And I agree, most tech channels default to AirPods Pro for EVERYTHING and it's exhausting. I try to bring a different POV when possible.
@@ELJefeReviews I actually had the MTW2 as well and I preferred the premium looking design but the MTW3 are damn comfortable, I forget I have them in when I'm lost in the music moment until I get the ominous battery low voice hah. I've managed around 5hrs+ in a quiet environment with ANC on and moderate volume but if I really want to jam then your battery estimate is spot on.
No multipoint is an absolute deal breaker for me. Way too often I want so watch some reviews on YT on my notebook, only to realise, that my CX earbuds connected to a smartpone on my table. Also to go into the app, change te connection, takes longer time, than putting bothh earbuds into ears and hold for 3 secs for new pairing. Unless Sennheiser delivers here, there's no buy from me 😞
@@PetrKrenzelok It's coming in a future firmware according to Sennheiser for the MTW3 but no confirmation when and no public statement, it was communicated by email. But for me it takes seconds to open the app and switch device. Yes it means having your phone or tablet to hand but my phone isn't far from my laptop. Multipoint would be better though but it's definitely not a desk breaker considering how good these buds are.

They just checked all the marks of sound, comfort, and price. Granted the EX was always coined the best sounding of current earbuds, I don't think they were worth $150 more to rock. Plus, I had Best Buy rewards to use, and the graphite colorway was available at my store 😎

The clarity and depth of the Beoplay EX is far and away superior to anything out there. I’m hearing stuff in songs I’ve heard 100s of times on other mediums. It’s incredible and you just have to experience it. Update- took these to the gym…..forget it. There is no way these can be used there. The noise cancelling is ridiculously bad. Worse than my 3+ years old sennheiser momentum TW2s. Guess these are going back to Amazon.

One advice: Actually go for a jog with any earbuds when rating it in regards of fit stability & comfort! Most stability fit ratings by reviewers are not actually workout/jogging proofed. Most buds won't fall out but that doesn't do it in regards of having passed the test. The true question is if the user has to re-adjust the buds every 100 yards or so. _Edit: Did i miss it or did you forget to include the fact that the Beoplay is a whoopin' ip57 while the mw3 is a lousy ipx4 in your comparison?_

Possible? Yes. Will it happen? No clue. I would never buy anything for the possibility of a future update. Buy it for what it can do for you right now.
Yes it is but that’s up to them. I have a pair of these and to be honest there are just as good as the Sony for ANC. If you have these and your having problems it will be the tips as You Need a good seal period. Try different tips or if you want get some foam tips just like the Sony if you like that sort of tips.
Got the sennheiser 3 and no matter how much I played the different sized earbuds and fins it would literally raw dog my ear after a couple of songs. Got ‘em for $200 but way too uncomfortable. So if you got weird ears like me, definitely recommend trying the EX. $400 is a lot but at least it feels worth it
i need the bass but everything should be awesome too and not muddy, i use spotify 99% of the time and they have great EQ settings for IOS, what do u think is the best of these 2 if you use the spotify EQ setting instead of their own app EQ settings?
I have the XM4s, how much of an upgrade is the MW3 in terms of purely sound quality and sound quality alone? I am confused between the Bose Quiet Comfort and the Momentum 3s.....please...help...I need one with better sound quality, and thats it, don't care about anc, etc , etc....and i've got both an android and an iphone..so ecosystem won't be a problem...I've got apple music too with lossless audio...
Please make a video comparing the MTW3 vs the new google pixel buds PRO( once available ). I'm an android user and plan I purchasing one of these later this summer. Hopefully the MTW3 will have multipoint by then because it's the one feature I need the most. Secondly would be ANC quality. I fly a lot for work and need something that will block out the noise from the plane.
The b&o more expensive not really for software. It’s additional price because of quality of material make on it. And the quality sounds . Every product doesn’t compare price. Just compare quality of sound and quality of material how to make it and it’s life for how long of years. And you try to use 2 items with the same time so what is the item will damage first. Gotta test the comply foam tip. They are included and much better than the standard rubber tip you had on. It will not come out of your ears and it won’t hurt your ears like some standard rubber tips do.
1. Both have minimal latency when watching video. Both on iOS and Android phones. 2. Both have noticeable latency with mobile gaming and are NOT recommended for this purpose.
My experience with the Sennheiser momentum TW ear buds (first ones) was they didnt last . As in build quality. I had my first pair and they stopped working in just over 3 months and they were used in an office 5 days a week. Returned them and got a second pair .. that lasted only 1 month , for a pair of HIGH END ear buds that is not acceptable. So i would be keen to know how long these ones last and their over all build quality. I ended up returning the momentum TW and exchanging them for the Sony WF-1000XM3 which have been great for the past 3 years. And only recently retired them for the WF-1000XM4 . I will be most likely getting the New Beoplay EX being the most recent release from B&O and ive always wanted to try them and regret not getting them the first time they released them . So will be grabbing a set of them in the coming weeks. Keep up the great work EL Jefe, would love to hear ur input on the build quality of the previous Momentum TW models and any issues you experienced. I know there have been a heap of faulty units

Watching and listening to this using my EX. EX's multi connect feature is damn smooth. The moment this youtube video plays on my Laptop, my spotify music player on my phone will auto-pause by itself. And the moment I stop the youtube video here on my laptop, the music continues. NO lag at all! like 1s interval! Crazy~~~ Impressed by this EX! Worth the high price~
Picked up the sennheisers today actually lol. I was deciding between the two and decided on them because I’m mainly getting them for working out. I am trying to gravitate away from in ear headphones for everyday use. I’m scared I am gonna damage my hearing lol So for only about 100 dollars more than the B&O’s I could get the sennheiser momentum 4’s as well as the true wireless 3’s. The momentum 4’s are going for 270 right now on Amazon. So now I got my over ear and true wireless sennheiser set up 👌🏽

@@deykno87 hi, not for me! I have been listening to them extensively today they have been perfect. Definitely better sound quality than the XM4s. If you have a hissing sounds try doing reset and then try again if it doesn’t work I’d send them back for a replacement.

Was able to A/B test them at the store. Both are really good devices. I choosed B&O EX cause of soundquality. And they took away my carnoise (old diesel) when I drove. Would be happy with both of them, but B&O EX had better fit in my ears, and better sound. So clear in every specter of the music. Try Leprous with the song "Have you ever?", big bass, clear mids and clear highs at the same time. I love these :) And I will live with a little less ANC than Sennheiser.
Went from Sony XM4 to B&O EX. Though Sony got better ANC, I used 3-4 minutes to get the in my ears. With B&O EX I use just a few seconds. Same with the Sennheiser as well, easy to put into the ear.
Again: two premium devices, premium sound, but B&O EX had even more premium sound in my ears.

After the sound personalised new firmware on the momentum 3 I have side by side tested both for an hour. The sennheiser are just as clear , better bass, wider richer soundstage and much louder if needed. Bought both from amazon and just about to return the B&O.

B&O have never performed up to their price point. For $400 earbuds it should be the gold standard in every arena. You could stretch and make am argument that the Soundcore Liberty 3 Pro are a vastly better deal given the entire package.
Sennheiser was smart to bring their flagship earbud price down to 250. That is very reasonable for all of what you get. B&O charges an extra 150 purely off the strength of their brand lol

The momentum 3 came out right after I got the Sony xm4, I bought the momentum 3 and i prefer the sennheiser by far. Louder, more bass, more comfortable in ear.

Great reviews JEFE! I own BeoplayEX myself and the TW momentum 2's and to be honest the ANC is very subjective in my opinion. Its great to test them to see which one is better than the other one, but when you have the ANC on, and the music is playing I am deaf no matter which modern headsets or earphones I use since all of them have come to an acceptable level of ANC. (speaking of the more higher end brands such as B&O and sennheiser. I recently tested my EX's out as I was driving a forklift that is very noisy, its levels of noise is 105db and I could hear next to nothing when the music was playing. I could hear the engine roar, but I think that was more of the vibrations from the engine than the sound waves itself.
the level of sound quality they manage to produce in such tiny devices is amazing, they both sound like you are wearing over ear headphones while using them. Sennheiser and B&O is my two go-to brands even though I am a student and SONY or BOSE would be the most sane choice thinking of price, but to be honest what you pay extra for these brands is more than worth it, I would rather save for three years to afford new headsets from these brands than go right out and buy the others!
How does your Momentum TW sound compared to Beoplay Ex? I have TW 2 as well and thinking of upgrading.
Sennheiser is much cheaper than BeoplayEX so I gave up on buying Senn. The sound quality of Senn will not disappoint you. These TW inears are consumable. Once their batteries wear out, we dump them.

I’ve has several pairs of headphones over the years starting in 1976. I appreciate all the comparisons between the 2 options here but for me, sound quality is king. After some research I went with the ex for my first pair of wireless buds. I was able to get them at a discount so that helped. As far as sound quality, I can’t imagine anything sounding better than these as far as top to bottom balance and sound staging.

yep I too went with the EX and they have that magic reproduction where sometimes I'll hear something in a song and my brain will think I'm hearing something in the room. I haven't experienced a set of headphones that could do that since I had my original pair of Hifiman RE0 all amped up. Man those things had the best imaging. I don't even care that the build quality on the RE0 was crap I want them to bring it back.
@@peeperpawsmcgee they’re no reviews comparing them to the Jabra 75t. Maybe because the 75t are discontinued. I’ve been comparing the sound of the 75t to Beoplay EX and to my untrained ear , they sound similar but the Jabra sound just a bit better in certain songs. But they are fantastic sounding.

I’ve tested only a handful of wireless earbuds and so far the 75t sound the best to me. No! They’re not perfect and sometimes they sound bass heavy but I wouldn’t say they don’t sound good at all.

I have both. ANC is close enough that either works for me. I'm rarely in noisy environments though. I just need to block out typical family noise when I'm working. The Sennheiser is better however. Volume is more than adequate for both. Sound quality with music IMO is noticeably better with the Sennheiser. I haven't thought much about rank and rate between the two, but I can say that I reach for the Sennheiser first ever time, then the Galaxy Buds pro, and lastly the 1more. That's most telling for me since it's just behavior and not something I'm thinking about every time.
Never satisfied with 1more product since their triple driver. It's like they don't have sound signature. I'm leaving my sony wf-1000xm4 because of this MTW3
How does the Status Audio Between Pro stack up against these based on sound quality alone? For reference on my personal taste, I find the treble on the mtw3 a bit too sharp or high pitched when it comes to cymbals and guitar strums. Be it I am sensitive to high treble. I didn't have this problem so I did not test for minimum volume.

Also, off the top of your head, could you compare the volume level of these with Sennheiser CX400BT, I happen to own. I'm thinking about upgrading and volume level is one of my gripes.
I hope they will do app and firmware update for this feature. The EX's I own does not pause when you take one bud of your ear.

@@trilingualkid The Beoplay case probably feels more premium but it's going to be in a worse condition down the road due to scratching and scuffing. Metal is not the ideal material for the case. The Sennheiser case is the perfect build.
My beoplay ex case scratches with packets of chewing gum in same pocket.. I preferred the EQ case personaly. Ex are excellent headphones tho. I liked the mtw 2 case but slightly bigger than I'd like

Great video as always. I have the beoplay eq. I wish they were a little louder. Was thinking about the Ex. Is the ex louder than the eq? Or about the same? And does the ex sound better than the eq?
I used the EQ before and have recently upgraded to the EX. They aren't louder but noticeably better in terms of comfort - doesn't even compare! - as well as the sound. Hard to believe but the instrument separation / clarity has become better and there've been improvements overall on the sound. It sounds more put together somehow while the sound stage has become wider. The ANC is not as good as Sony etc though but that's not a major factor for me. It cancels most sounds very well, especially much better when something is played. Don't know why but even just listening to an audio book on low volume cancels a lot more than just having them in with nothing playing.
In regard to loudness: I've heard from a few friends who have used their iPhones with earbuds that they weren't loud enough. Turns out there are a few setting changes that might help:
1. iPhone Settings -> "Sounds & Haptics" -> "Headphone Safety" and toggle "Reduce Loud Sounds" to "off"
(When listening with Spotify:)
2. go to Spotify settings -> "Playback" -> toggle off "audio normalisation"
3. go to Spotify Settings -> "Audio Quality" -> and choose "very high" quality for any listening/data situation. That helps the loudness as well apparently.
Those steps worked on my H95, EQ and EX very well :)

Need some help finding the right buds for me. I previously had Bose QC’s and loved the sound profile but didn’t like that it couldn’t be tweaked for different genres and they are HUGE. Next I got Liberty pro 3’s…great sound , very customizable and lots of FAT BASS, except they cut out constantly during listening…two sets in a row! I just caught this stream today and I was wondering how the sennheisers stack up Bass wise to the Bose? I mean,I know Bose ANC is the best and sound quality is great too , in my opinion. Everything I heard on the stream really sounds good to me but I’m a Bass head like yourself and it would be great to have as much as the soundcore but it’s not game killer for me. I also really like the app and all the customization on the sennheisers. My only concern would be if I’d be happy w/the bass response. Do you think if I liked the bass on the Bose QC’s I’d be happy with what sennheisers offer? Thanks

the MTW3 is definitely a good buy for its price if it doesn't break. I'm currently on my thrid one since the previous two both had chip noise after using for more than 6 months. To me that's bearable, but still a red flag for other long term users I guess.
In my experience, all TWS earbuds have a short lifespan . Something always happens with this things. I bought the MTW 3 today after my Jabra Elite 75t 'broke again. I have read many reports that the MTW 3 break down too often. For this reason I insured my new earbuds this time for a small surcharge. Now I don't have to worry about having to buy new earbuds myself again.
Did you try and reduce the equlizer base on the Sennheiser, since you seemed to think it was overdone?
Of course. But all you get in the app are the three sliders. To truly dial in the mid-bass I have to use a 3rd party solution like wavelet.

You are totally right about that price tag but I'm gonna be honest, I got them and boy they do make you feel that the 400 dollars was well spent. The ANC definitely lacks behind some other TWS, but it isn't that of a setback to out weight the preformsnce in sound quality . Only disadvantage is loosing them, then yeah you loose a 400 dollar toy.

What size fin do you use with M3 and tip? I went strait in with what came on it but I feel like I can get them more comfortable . I have large ears also
I kept the provided Fin and used my MTW 1 tip instead. These buds are rocking. I'm at 56% volume jamming. I think Jeff says they crank up to about 117db... That's stupid Loud. It's Louder the MTW 2 and seems louder than the MTW 1 which had great sound quality just awful Quality overall, Quality Control Issues that is.
I also kept the original wings and tips in place. I tried the others as well but these fit my ears best. Be sure to try them all yourself to ensure a proper fit.
El jefe, i've tried the EQs and I'm currently trying the MTW 3. These are almost perfect. The noise cancellation is surprisingly strong, it blows the EQ outa the water. The problem is, nothing sounds so good against the EQ.
Now on a budget of 250$, do you think that the Technics AZ-60 would be a good middle ground (interms of sound and ANC), or should I stick to the MTW3?
If you liked the sound of the EQ then do it once and do it right, get the EX. Don't be like these people that buy 2 or three $200 dollar buds cos they don't want to spend $400 but instead end up spending $600 chasing the holy grail. The eq should be discounted now/soon.

You’re both right on the buying too many buds thing. I get a lot through Amazon just due to the 30 day return, but a few pairs I end up keeping because I like the different sound experience each gives. I am yet to find THE ultimate earbuds which I’ll be happy with for a couple of years. If I could combine the EX sound, with XM4 noise cancelling, iPod Pro ambience mode, with Jabra level call quality and multipoint (2 active, 8 stored), and LG FP9 feature set (with wireless charge as well), I’d be set.

Love your reviews! I am in the market for a new set of in ear headphones and considering getting rid of the wires for a more tangle free life 😊 Considering the Sennheiser Momentum TW3. My priority is sound quality (and maybe to some extent ANC) and not the millions of different more or less useful features offered by today's wireless headphones. I find lots of comparisons between different models and makes of true wireless headphones, but NONE between a wireless headphone and a comparable wired one. That would be a real interesting comparison I think. How much do I actually lose on sound quality with wireless. Let's say the Sennheiser Momentum TW3 vs the wired Momentum. Any plans for that or is it a stupid idea? 😃
The reason you don't see many wired vs wireless reviews is due to the fact that 99.9% of the time the wired IEMs or headphones will win. To be fair, Bluetooth technology has come a LONG way in the past few years. But we are still waiting for either Qualcomm or Apple to revolutionize this technology by moving us past Bluetooth into something that can truly transmit hi-res quality audio wirelessly. Lots of rumors around Apple making moves towards that but sadly nothing concrete at this time.

Why do you bought the B&O? What was your reason to not discard them? From the perspective that you ask for the review units to the other companies and not the EX. Is just curiosity, because I really want to believe the Beoplay has something unique in sound quality, but for all the comments the TWM3 is the best in every category.

2. Because I still need them for further comparison testing.

I am trying to decide between these two earbuds.
From reviews the MTW3s seem to be the better all around option especially for the price but if money is not a concern and the listener wants the best SQ then the B&O EX is the better option. I primarily use my earbuds for commuting, the gym, and occasionally flying. I mainly listen to electronic, rap, and R&B. I would say I am a bass head when it comes to ear buds because I want energetic music for the gym and a punchy bass. I need an earbud that I don't have to worry about falling out while doing movements at the gym and hopefully something that will remain comfortable after long hours of listening for plane rides. I keep on being drawn to the B&O EXs for their SQ, comfort, and design even though it has some downsides especially at that price point. I already have studio grade headphones and custom IEMs for accurate at home listening, yet something still draws me to the B&O EXs despite the price difference and flaws such as its ANC. I've heard the MTW3s are more targeted for bass head listeners so I am leaning towards those at the moment.
What would you recommend?

At last someone has got a black pair of MT3's just like mine :) Most reviewers have gone for graphite and a couple for white but none for black!!! I enjoyed the comparison - the BO EX are certainly top notch but imo not worth $100 more than the MTW3's. Fingers X'd Sennheiser update the firmware to include multipoint as they say they will. I'd also like to see a gaming mode and a 5 or 7 band equaliser in a future firmware update if that's possible.

Hi. I have a question. When I try to use the Sennheiser momentum true wireless 3 I have a pairing issue. The right earbud turns of after 1.min. The left earbud play music but right bud is dead. Tryed factory reset but when I get them connected again the same issue comes back. Did you have issues like this?

It seems that everytime I try to charge my Beoplay EX overnight, the left earbud would charge to 100% but the right earbud would only charge to 81-86% even though the case has plenty of battery left. It's been like this since I got it two weeks ago. Have you had any similar experiences?
I found this problem, very heavy user, and in the end made me say goodbye to them, I’ve had a lot of earbuds, and in terms of sound B&O unreal yet to try sen mt3
I personally bought these two and I have a few cents on the comparison as well.
Sound wise they are quite generic to their own brand's sound signature, but then you can always play with the eq to your own liking.
The EX could produce more accurate and clear mid and highs (instrument is amazing),base is a bit punchy but feels a bit restrained/held back, while MW3 is more to the warmer side, mids and highs are bold and rich and I find the sound stage on the MW3s a bit wider.
I could go on forever to compare these two,but in short MW3 is definitely a steel for its price tag, while the EX is more of a luxury option.

Does the bass on the EX still sound restrained with the eq setting on maximum bass? I listen to chill tech EDM mainly and the bass line is very important but I want quality punchy articulate bass over loud but boomy monotone bass. Thanks 👍
@@emalior5000 The eq could only do so much if the driver inside the earbud can't produce the bass you'd want from them.
When I turn the eq to the warm setting ( low treble, high bass) the bass sounds more pronounced but lack that body and depth that you'd get from MW3.
I personally listen to pop and rap so the MW3 is perfect for me, EX is kinda for classics and acapella imo. I'd say have a listen to both of them before buying cuz everyone's eyes are different afterall.

@@gwafitz If I'm not mistaken metal is more on the mids and highs and has a higher emphasis on instruments, so EX would be the earbud of choice, on paper at least. I find EX's sound stage a bit strange, you can clearly hear every distinct instrument around you but it sounds kinda shallow ( far but not loud enough to deliver). I seen mixed reviews when it comes to EX vs MW3 in terms of sound so take my opnion with a grain of salt.
Hey bro about the mt 3: the right earbud when you touch it like you were to adjust the fitting, does it cut off compared to the left? Almost like the right is very sensitive to the touch compared to the left. I don't think this is common since i did the same thing with other earbuds. Just wanted to know if this happens to you.

Even when I had my old e8s sometimes I would like the senheisers for the more powerful sound but when I would go back to my trusty b&os I would notice a somewhat quieter yet more detailed sound. It’s nice to switch back and fourth to find what you like. I just ordered the ex’s because my senheisers mtw3’s were defective as all my senheisers were in the past, the b&os have always been more reliable to me
Are the sennys good for casual gaming ? I play pokemon unite and clash Royale and I had the cx plus and returned them du the the latency while gaming but they sounded so good. Are these better ?
No. Latency is still the same. Good for video but not for gaming.

I mean sure we're talking here in Europe €399 B&O vs €249 for the MTW3. The differences in my opinion are marginal but price to feature ratio is the MTW3 for me hands down.
I'm an owner of the MTW3 and one of my annoyances is because the ear buds are a smaller form factor than the MTW2, I keep hitting the touch when putting them in and positioning them.
Also to mention, while multi point isn't available yet you can pair with other devices but only use one at a time, which is good enough for me. Just have to remember to switch to the device I want to use in the app.
It's nice to see a good review though that isn't comparing everything to the AirPod Pros like they're the earbuds to beat.
I appreciate you sharing your perspective as an owner of the MTW3. And I agree, most tech channels default to AirPods Pro for EVERYTHING and it's exhausting. I try to bring a different POV when possible.
@@ELJefeReviews I actually had the MTW2 as well and I preferred the premium looking design but the MTW3 are damn comfortable, I forget I have them in when I'm lost in the music moment until I get the ominous battery low voice hah.
I've managed around 5hrs+ in a quiet environment with ANC on and moderate volume but if I really want to jam then your battery estimate is spot on.
No multipoint is an absolute deal breaker for me. Way too often I want so watch some reviews on YT on my notebook, only to realise, that my CX earbuds connected to a smartpone on my table. Also to go into the app, change te connection, takes longer time, than putting bothh earbuds into ears and hold for 3 secs for new pairing. Unless Sennheiser delivers here, there's no buy from me 😞
@@PetrKrenzelok It's coming in a future firmware according to Sennheiser for the MTW3 but no confirmation when and no public statement, it was communicated by email.
But for me it takes seconds to open the app and switch device.
Yes it means having your phone or tablet to hand but my phone isn't far from my laptop.
Multipoint would be better though but it's definitely not a desk breaker considering how good these buds are.

They just checked all the marks of sound, comfort, and price. Granted the EX was always coined the best sounding of current earbuds, I don't think they were worth $150 more to rock. Plus, I had Best Buy rewards to use, and the graphite colorway was available at my store 😎

The clarity and depth of the Beoplay EX is far and away superior to anything out there. I’m hearing stuff in songs I’ve heard 100s of times on other mediums. It’s incredible and you just have to experience it.
Update- took these to the gym…..forget it. There is no way these can be used there. The noise cancelling is ridiculously bad. Worse than my 3+ years old sennheiser momentum TW2s. Guess these are going back to Amazon.

One advice: Actually go for a jog with any earbuds when rating it in regards of fit stability & comfort!
Most stability fit ratings by reviewers are not actually workout/jogging proofed. Most buds won't fall out but that doesn't do it in regards of having passed the test. The true question is if the user has to re-adjust the buds every 100 yards or so.
_Edit: Did i miss it or did you forget to include the fact that the Beoplay is a whoopin' ip57 while the mw3 is a lousy ipx4 in your comparison?_

Possible? Yes. Will it happen? No clue. I would never buy anything for the possibility of a future update. Buy it for what it can do for you right now.
Yes it is but that’s up to them. I have a pair of these and to be honest there are just as good as the Sony for ANC. If you have these and your having problems it will be the tips as You Need a good seal period. Try different tips or if you want get some foam tips just like the Sony if you like that sort of tips.

Got the sennheiser 3 and no matter how much I played the different sized earbuds and fins it would literally raw dog my ear after a couple of songs. Got ‘em for $200 but way too uncomfortable. So if you got weird ears like me, definitely recommend trying the EX. $400 is a lot but at least it feels worth it

Please make a video comparing the MTW3 vs the new google pixel buds PRO( once available ). I'm an android user and plan I purchasing one of these later this summer. Hopefully the MTW3 will have multipoint by then because it's the one feature I need the most. Secondly would be ANC quality. I fly a lot for work and need something that will block out the noise from the plane.

Gotta test the comply foam tip. They are included and much better than the standard rubber tip you had on. It will not come out of your ears and it won’t hurt your ears like some standard rubber tips do.
I test with ALL tips. I prefer silicone tips over foam tips for the improved comfort and seal it provides for my ears.

Pls put latency test. For video and gaming. We want to know how much lag these have?
1. Both have minimal latency when watching video. Both on iOS and Android phones.
2. Both have noticeable latency with mobile gaming and are NOT recommended for this purpose.
My experience with the Sennheiser momentum TW ear buds (first ones) was they didnt last . As in build quality. I had my first pair and they stopped working in just over 3 months and they were used in an office 5 days a week. Returned them and got a second pair .. that lasted only 1 month , for a pair of HIGH END ear buds that is not acceptable. So i would be keen to know how long these ones last and their over all build quality.
I ended up returning the momentum TW and exchanging them for the Sony WF-1000XM3 which have been great for the past 3 years. And only recently retired them for the WF-1000XM4 .
I will be most likely getting the New Beoplay EX being the most recent release from B&O and ive always wanted to try them and regret not getting them the first time they released them . So will be grabbing a set of them in the coming weeks.
Keep up the great work EL Jefe, would love to hear ur input on the build quality of the previous Momentum TW models and any issues you experienced. I know there have been a heap of faulty units
MTW1 -> Charge case wouldn't hold a charge after a 2-3 months.
MTW2 -> No QC issues with my set.
MTW3 -> So far, no QC issues with my set.

Picked up the sennheisers today actually lol. I was deciding between the two and decided on them because I’m mainly getting them for working out. I am trying to gravitate away from in ear headphones for everyday use. I’m scared I am gonna damage my hearing lol So for only about 100 dollars more than the B&O’s I could get the sennheiser momentum 4’s as well as the true wireless 3’s. The momentum 4’s are going for 270 right now on Amazon. So now I got my over ear and true wireless sennheiser set up 👌🏽

@@deykno87 hi, not for me! I have been listening to them extensively today they have been perfect. Definitely better sound quality than the XM4s. If you have a hissing sounds try doing reset and then try again if it doesn’t work I’d send them back for a replacement.
Is the sound stage noticeably wider than the XM4?
@@Treeniks I would say so yes! For me sound stage is all about the clarity as well. Obviously the XM4 have 360 audio sound which the MWT3 don’t have.
@@slicklace well I couldn't hear a difference with the 360 audio thing anyway (maybe I'm doing it wrong idk), and it only works with Deezer/Tidal which are services that don't have the music I listen to anyway. Thanks though! I think I will try the MWT3.
