This rare gem of a video features the legendary and revered bone player, Percy Danforth, interviewed by Grammy award winner David Holt - who comes from five generations of bone players. What A golden nugget!
What a great guy. I got to meet Percy when I was at law school in Ann Arbor back in the late 1970's, and I got a pair of his bones. He used to go around and do bones workshops, with a hole bag full of them to teach the crowd how to play them.
I think David just made the proverbial silk purse out of the sow's ear. A paper sack. Who'd a thunk it? Makes a great instrument. I'm going to try it. Thanks David and keep up the good work preserving these fine traditions.
