Do you use regular gas 87 or premium 93 in your l322?

So, a few years back I had a Disco II that was modified for overland work. I used regular unleaded on occasion - by necessity mostly, but that made the mileage dropped dramatically. So, now that I have a supercharged Range Rover I don't even try anything other than super unleaded - mainly because the mpg is crap already. Lol. What about about, have you dared to put your knock sensors to the test.

@@CentTxLiving so I have a 2006 l322 supercharged 4.2 and I was thinking about trying to use regular gas and after reading a few forums. I've read some people do it with no problem. But I've also read it's bad for the engine. Just wanted to ask you because your knowledge about them.

I would suspect once in a while wouldn't be harmful, and you would most likely see a dramatic drop in mileage. With my Disco II my mileage would drop to about 9 mpg, instead of my normal 12 in the city. I also did notice a dip in power. My determination was that it wasn't financially viable to use regular fuel with any regularity. Please understand, this is my experience. I would say give it a shot and see how it goes.

Lol tell me about, I'm running 33's and my mileage is off too. My cats fragged out a few years ago and I installed two hi flow 300 cell units. Consequently, I have a constant post cat p2048/ 2049 that reoccur. I'm just gonna break down and get oem cats and replace them.
