    Hey thanks for this video and the other one too a lot of good information and I did not know Harbor Freight even had these Power Station until I saw both of your videos. Again thanks for taking the time out from your day to make these videos.

    I just bought one of these 12/13. I had a 20% off coupon so I got it for $159.99. I topped the battery off in my truck while Christmas shopping. In 1.5 hours the battery was at 100%. I ran a lamp on my desk all night and took it out to the camper and ran the TV for 6 hours while doing some work. I shut it down @ 13% and brought it inside and charged it up in 3+ hours. I have a larger unit that I use for running my 12 vdc fridge overnight when the camper solar is low and I can make coffee with that one. This 350 watt power station is for the smaller things that we need to run economically and better manage our solar in the RV on days with little or no sun. It charges up quickly and for the price I paid for it and the 5 year warranty - no brainer as far as I can tell.

      The thing about this one, is that with that 5 year warranty, if anything goes wrong, you can take it back to HF.. They have stores in just about every town in the states!
      Thanks for watching.. I really appreciate it.

    The rude comments are just people trolling so just ignore them,they are only looking to cause trouble. Great video, I have one and it’s great. Just the right size for what I want to use it for.

      That's awesome I'm glad you were able to get one. I was at HF today for the daily deal on that light, guy said they sold out 20 minutes after opening. I did see they have 1 more of these left. As far as the comments, they don't bother me too much.. Thanks for watching buddy. I really appreciate it.

      Thanks buddy. I'm sure your getting the same haters on your video as well!! Hmmm.. Maybe you should do a video as well on taking yours apart? I considered taking it 100 percent down, but decided against it, at least for now.

      @@JDPDoingStuff Probably smart not to go 100 percent teardown. I could see bad things happening if the batteries somehow got shorted. Having said that, I would be curious to see if there is a second set of cells in there. I almost think there has to be.
      Cheers from snowless :( Wisconsin.

      @@JDPDoingStuff Yep, all kinds of haters. But I spent my money on it because it interested me. If people don't like it, they don't have to buy it. Or they can buy one and do their own videos on how much it sucks.

    The EcoFlow RIVER 3 plus is similar capacity, but is 600W instead of 350W, and is currently only $10 more, plus they're currently throwing in a 45W solar panel for free. As far as the App, especially when using these things as UPSs you can fine tune things via the App that you can't access on the front panel. For example, you can set a min/max SoC at less than 0-100% which will extend the life of the LiFePO4 cells.

    • @JDPDoingStuff
      @JDPDoingStuff  21 день назад

      OH! That's good information. Maybe the larger ones they are going to release next year will have an app.

    • @oneisnone7350
      @oneisnone7350 21 день назад

      Yeah, for the price, the River 3 is better. The biggest disappointment I have with the Predator is the ridiculously slow recharge. It takes 4 hours from zero! It only charges at a measly 70w. The River 3 can recharge in an hour.

    • @JDPDoingStuff
      @JDPDoingStuff  21 день назад +2

      @@oneisnone7350 It is, but I was able to pick this up locally. The river 3 I haven't found locally. And if something happens to it you can take it back to any harbor freight

    i want to use this as a power system for my small rv .do we have any idea when the bigger unit comes out?

    • @JDPDoingStuff
      @JDPDoingStuff  20 дней назад +1

      I think they come out 1st quarter of 2025, not sure the date. I also have a small RV, so far haven't needed to use it as I've been hooked up to power Lol. But it'll run your TV if your boondocking as well as other small items. Just check the power requirements, if it's under 350 watts your good to go!

    My main concern is the battery material quality. I’ll get whatever brand has the best battery because that will last the longest.

    • @JDPDoingStuff
      @JDPDoingStuff  20 дней назад

      Agreed. For me, if this lasts me until I sell off all my Retro game sh!t I'm good. 200 isn't terrible for this. I'm sure I'll find other uses for it as time goes by though.

    The bad thing is none of these Predator power stations have MPPT solar tracking on the solar charge input. Most of the competition does... because of this 30% of the solar panels power is wasted. It was cheaper to manufacture. They are hoping nobody notices. I will never buy one.

      Good info Jim.. Maybe my video helped you make that decision? This one isn't for everyone. I just have a unique use case for it. I also think its awesome that so many people have given me ideas for other uses I wouldn't have thought of.
