I couldn't imagine the Series X without this. It makes the experience so much better. You'll always wonder "do I need a controller that cost that much" and when you finally hold it you'll see how you can't go back
The elite 2 will be better when they update it to use the same wireless protocol as the new series X/S controllers, we'll see less input lag then. Not sure why the update hadn't already released.

After playing with the series X controller for a bit, it might be worth waiting, if they don’t bring out a new controller they’re being financially irresponsible tbh, the texture padding and coating is much better on the default S/X controller than the elite 2, that being said, I still LOVE my elite and think it’s a fantastic controller but even I can tell there are improvements to be made and I’m sure Microsoft sees that too.
Had this for 1 month. Even day 1 there was right stick drift issue. Now both sticks are drifting. Controller feels so so good but its broken. I hope they can solve this problem in the future.
I love this controller. I hate waiting 2 weeks every time I have to send it in for stick drift... Which takes about 4 months of Warzone quarantine play. Sniff.
The controller does have its share of QC problems. Stick drift is nothing to all types of controller, shoulder buttons sometimes do not register. If it is brand new out of the box, sometimes certain buttons get stuck but a little rubbing alcohol fixes that. New controllers sometimes have sticky residue left over after manufacturing. I sent an Elite 2 controller in for a shoulder button issue and I just received the replacement. A little rubbing alcohol fixed the "B" button getting stuck here and there. The new one seems to be ok. It is hard for me to go back to regular controllers. I also had an Elite Gen 1 which started having issues and just returned it under BestBuy warranty and got another Elite 2 with warranty. Paid the difference of $30, so now I have 2 Elite 2s. I know they have their issues but they are solid.
I guess I got somewhat lucky bc mine has been flawless for hundreds of hours (bought it within a month of release). Thanks for sharing your experience and tips!!
I really appreciate this video and ideas you gave me. I just got Series X and the Elite S2 controller. Coming from PS4, everything is new to me and I felt lost. This guide was really helpful. Thanks a lot.
Good tips, but if you are mapping a paddle to a stick click it is a waste of a paddle as you want to keep your fingers on the sticks, so to press a stick in you don't need to move your fingers, you should set a paddle to a button that you have to press thats isn't near the sticks like y, x, a, b, or any d pad buttons

The elite 2 doesn't have this issue as the grip pattern is pressed into the actual material of the controller rather than stuck on with weak glue like on the original.
@@VincentGonz I think so, it feels so much better as the new Series X pad feels cheap. Awesome for shooters with small trigger pulls and back buttons. The charge on it seems to last forever to, i hardly ever have to charge it. You can tighten up the sticks to which helps with my bad aim hehe

I hate I mean dirt dog hate the grips or let’s say the rubber and the lack of grip it provides, if you look at a sweet X/S halo 20th AV Edition controller which comes in the HALO X/S one console it’s supreme compared to the elite 2 grips , it stay put in your hands, while the E2 will slide around and move while in both hands, I just don’t get what would of been so hard to apply some of the upgrades which came on the X/S controllers to the E2 ..anyway I’d go on, but I doubt anyone at XBOX is listening to someone who’s ONLY BEEN PLAYING XBOX SINCE THE DAY HALO DROPPED AFTER SITTING OUTSIDE THE STORE FOR 24hrs, on top of owning 6 of the original Xbox units and had then hardwired in each bedroom, living room, and my game room so all my friends could play in teams of two against each other …but hey it’s not like I don’t still have 5 Xbox ones, one Scorpio, and one halo X/S system, still, lol…come one pls fix the E2, I was really disappointed when I finally broke down and got it today…xoxoxo
Funny how no one is talking about the update. It's a bit laggy on the Next Gen console. Currently it's in the case and I'm using the controller that came with the series X. It's much more responsive
It's going to be interesting to find out how Xbox ends up getting the companies and what companies they get most likely they won't be able to get Sega but that doesn't mean a girl can't dream.
SMH still today, sure we customers have to undo the mistake of a genius of engineer removing the share button to set up as a shift function to activate it so we can take Screenshots . And later it will get messed up by the app and we have to remapp again and again. I remember in 2000 when Mercedes and Volkswagen forced customers to suck the oil instead of releasing it and they got sued for that and removed that immediately from production. Forcing customers to changing simple habbits is causing problems and not solving them . Me personally i spend money to get rid of a problem not to buy one.

But no low latency update if functionality... would have thought they would have planned a head.. or did they in the fact they can now sell you a new one with these features.
I think Microsoft needs to have an answer to the Dualsense. For real. They need to add atleast adaptive triggers. All gaming sites praise it all the time. I think it will impact where people choose to play third partie titles.
I have a PS5. I'm on the fence how much I care about the haptic feedback but the adaptive triggers are very cool - especially in Call of Duty. I agree. I'd love to see Microsoft adapt it.
@@MisfitToy Cool! 👍I have the Series X and it's awesome so far. I will wait a year or so and see if Microsoft announses some new features to the controllers. Doubt it but you never now. Big changes to controllers have happened in the past.
@@memorycard1000 Agreed. Yeah I have the Series X too. The Xbox controller is actually overall more comfortable to hold and the rumble is nice. Haptic feedback is kind of cool but also sometimes feels like too much. It can distract from the game.
Please that's the Nintendo switch let's move on pony 🐴
@@JJACK2024 What are you on about?
I wanna get the elite but I can’t it’s too expensive for me it looks really good and the triggers would be good for like any shooter game like fortnite, modern warfare and Cold War
I got the Series S and I just got the best controller on the market but I don't know how to use it.💯🤦🤷💪✊
Well my elite has phone keybinds instead of buttons for the game.(when I try to play on cloud)
Q: Has anyone had any trouble with the elite 2 bumpers and buttons not working correctly on mobile ?? I bought 1 and took it back to the store 2 times and the 3rd new controller later still the same issues...Also yes I've updated it to current functionality ?? Help??
What’s the name of the game at 0:07?
My a button on my series 2 is un responsive from time to time. Very frustrating.
Thought about getting one before I saw the price. So i bought a switch lite instead
Bruuh
Of all versions of the Switch you bought you bought the Lite version. Just hope you don't get stick drift issues with it.
is the elite 2 worth it? i've had 2 of the elite, and the grip on the back has peeled away on both....
I've heard the elite 2 had fixed that issue!
The elite 2 doesn't have this issue as the grip pattern is pressed into the actual material of the controller rather than stuck on with weak glue like on the original.
I never got one because I'm afraid it'll get a defect like all of my past normal ones.
The controller for the Series X alone is already so good tbh.
I just ordered the elite 2 as my new Series X pad has started to ware out already. The anolog stick has gone rough and grindy.
So you'll say the elite controller V2 is worth it?
@@VincentGonz I think so, it feels so much better as the new Series X pad feels cheap. Awesome for shooters with small trigger pulls and back buttons. The charge on it seems to last forever to, i hardly ever have to charge it. You can tighten up the sticks to which helps with my bad aim hehe
Elite Series 2 is hands down the best controller
I love the new capture on controller
when will overwatch be on sale again digitally ?
I love my elite 2 but does anyone else find it has serious lag on doom eternal for some reason. It’s only when I try and go forward and it’s the same whether in Xbox SX or on pc.
The same. I first noticed it on doom eternal, now it briefly stops working when going forward on every game.
Is this BennyCentral (Same voice)
Thanks 👍
It needs a firmware update. The swap axis feature aka legacy is broken. If I could just adjust deadzones it would be PERFECT.
Funny how no one is talking about the update. It's a bit laggy on the Next Gen console. Currently it's in the case and I'm using the controller that came with the series X. It's much more responsive
I use my elite series 2 for Rocket league. I need these paddles for it.
Yes customization is very important in RL, on my standard xbox controller I use LT as boost, b as drive backwards and x as air roll right
@@standupyak i‘ll use the left paddle for air roll right (x button), because i can‘t click 3 buttons at the same time
@@OnePiece_61 it works for me
I’m waiting for the Xbox series x to come back in stock
Can't get a Series X right now because of scalpers.
It's going to be interesting to find out how Xbox ends up getting the companies and what companies they get most likely they won't be able to get Sega but that doesn't mean a girl can't dream.
I’ve had mine a year and didn’t know all this 😂😂🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Hello xbox. My xbox serious x turns off every time i play cod. Cold war
❤️ for Benny
SMH still today, sure we customers have to undo the mistake of a genius of engineer removing the share button to set up as a shift function to activate it so we can take Screenshots . And later it will get messed up by the app and we have to remapp again and again. I remember in 2000 when Mercedes and Volkswagen forced customers to suck the oil instead of releasing it and they got sued for that and removed that immediately from production. Forcing customers to changing simple habbits is causing problems and not solving them . Me personally i spend money to get rid of a problem not to buy one.
I mean my elite was awesome until the controller drift but I gotta exchange
Best controller ever made, BUT IT NEEDS A LOW LATENCY UPDATE
Waiting for new elite series 3
Who else takes his elite controller whenever not gaming @ homee
series 3 better have ps5 styled haptic feedback
This controller is so good that my lb doesn’t work left stick doesn’t work dpad doesent work and sticky left trigger so yeah your supposed thousands of testing on this controller must have been fake I haven’t even had this for a year and it’s impossible for me to play
Have you spilled any soda on it? Maybe some crumbs or dust in it? May want to remove the face panel and clean it out as best you can.
We need customers Xbox series x and s like Xbox one x
Huh?
I hav an elite
I hope the next elite series is like the ps5 controller with its hapyic feedback
This should have been series x original controller
Too bad you can't macro with the Elite 2 :(
If only this controller didn’t have a tonne of issues
Does it ? I've had mine since launch, no problems... so far.
series 2 dont have tall sticks only series 1
Not true
The dead zone on Xbox controllers are terrible compared to PS4 DualShock. I have to move the Xbox joystick a certain distance then it picks up where as DualShock is INSTANT as soon as the joystick moves a hair. Xbox is not good for games like call of duty
Yep
That New Playstation 5 controller is not better then the Xbox Elite Series two Controller. Xbox Controller's Design and Quality is better then Playstation, Xbox Elite Series two Controller is the best Controller that you can Buy......
Can I use it on PS5 ?
Would be nice if those that preordered got they consoles day one ps5 is just as bad
