Gotta love the Tele! Don't forget most of Led Zeppelin's first album was recorded with a Tele, and I believe Jimmy Page used a Tele for the solo in Stairway to Heaven.
Hey man! Bass player here, looking too expand, thank you for this, I've always loved rock and honestly psychedelic prog and I love the tele! My friends say the same thing, they are only good for country, but honestly they might be one of the most versatile guitars out there. You deserve more views on this! Your playing is fantastic and your voice isn't overwhelming and extra. Loved the video!
I thought the same thing about both the Telecaster and country music, and while I still don’t like most country music, some of those guys can play the heck out of a guitar and the Telecaster has grown on me too, to the point where now that’s my go to guitar.
I actually would love to listen to some country music but most of the lyrics hurt my brain. Tried to listen to Brad Paisley, amazing guitar player but the lyrics nearly killed me...
Love that white body black pickguard combo, I need to get me one of those some day.. Any recommendations on where to buy the parts as a partscaster? (EU)
Thanks! I bought lot of the parts from Thomann just because of the good selection they have and brands like Harley Benton. For example the Harley Benton pickguard is pretty much the same material as bunch of others, but it's just significantly more affordable. T-store doesn't always have the parts I want, in those cases I usually shop at Uraltone. It's a Finnish shop but they ship internationally. Hope this helps!
@Kizzy C Ooh interesting, reading this makes me want to modify my Harley Benton T-style kit. I've assembled it and it's a very ok instrument for 80 euros. I wonder if it would actually be great if I would do similar upgrades to it....
@Kizzy C Thanks for reply. I also have the TE-20 model from HB, it's great! At the moment it's all stock on mine, but I plan to make some upgrades on it..
Slab of wood with a neck attached to it. Always haha. But yeah. Me too, as a kid, tele is always second to les paul. But as a grownup, tele is a versatile guitar, doesnt mess around and cuts through the mix 😉
I like your bridge for intonation over the 3 saddle but each to their own :) however would take a Floyd as my desert island guitar i'd just make sure I've got my screwdriver and hex keys :D divebomb debauchery :)
I also like the six string saddle but one of my favourite players is Jerry Donahue who said that the three brass saddles are needed in order to get the true Telecaster tone
When I built the guitar I actually had the SD Lil' 59 in the bridge but ended up switching to single coils. I felt it was more the sound I was going for. But I bet the QP would sound great as well!

Excellent point! Tele is probably featured on many more legendary tracks than we actually realise.

@@CatPickStudios Thomann is great, but they don't have any selection of bodies.. (currently only one telecaster body)
@Kizzy C May I ask which graphtech nut model you used and what you needed to do to make it fit?

Yeah there’s just something about it, it just works in so many situations!

Haha I'm super strict about the intonation so the vintage style bridge was a no go. But yeah, not everyone loves the same thing. :)
so super strict you'll do True Tempered frets on your current build??? eeouch that sounds tough to do :D
Haha definitely not!
HA HA HA :)

Sweet home alabama was played on a strat

Throw a qp in the bridge and itll rock forever
