*Tizoc* from Garou MOTW/KOF is a Character that was an SNK Counterpart of Namco's *King* from the "Tekken" Franchise, even both they're Background Stories are very similar, But it's Sad to see that Tizoc has followed the same Path as *Armor King II* of becoming a Heel.

There are plenty of wrestling characters in fighting games, but to me the two who embody the wrestling spirit most are Tizoc and King II from Tekken. They both have great stories and watching them do what they do best is always a treat.

This character instantly became a Favorite of mine and one of my mains in the Games. However the King of DINOSAURS Persona is my FAVORITE. Just the fact it's a BIG GOOFY DINOSAUR and I love how he Changed his look to keep the Legend of TIZOC Alive. I love characters that think about the Children and their Hopes.
KoD is the only one character in KoF where i cheers any players using him. There's just something fascinating seeing KoD plays. it's really like seeing your heroes fight against bad guys. i think the Tizoc persona sticks with KoD somehow.

According to Yasuyuki Oda, they had to cut corners in KOFXIV... and to do so, one method was to limit facial animations on 3 characters namely Tizoc/KOD, Mian and Kukri. Which explains why Kukri's face is mainly a silhouette, Mian wears a mask (mostly) and KOD's limited facial animations.

Tizoc: A very interesting character! Maybe a "Full Story of Mai Shiranui"? Often she is reduced to her appearance + romance with Andy and there's more to her than that.
what's more to say about her? I like Mai, and she is very popular and everything, but... SNK never properly developed her. She did nothing in the Fatal Fury games and much less in KOF timeline.
Why? Unlike Chun li or Morrigan from Capcom, Mai has no backstory whatsoever... At least not that i know of, and i've been playing since her first appearance in FF2

This is art imitates life, he's a wrestler that just changed his gimmick like how undertaker changed to America badass undertaker, or hulk Hogan change to NWO Hogan, or Razor Ramon to Scott hall (RIP). that's all he did n I find that very cool that it shows that the developers understand wrestling and they change their gimmicks change to evolve as a wrestler.
I would agree of Tizoc/KOD are very interesting characters and yeah like everyone knows that's literally Tizoc even if it's KOD. Still I'm surprised that Angel was the one who convinced KOD and Ramon to join KOF XIV with her. At first I thought it was Ramon guess not. I really like B.Jenet how when she convinced fighters like KOD and Rock she invites them to the Pao Pao Cafe to celebrate and she did the exact same thing with Rock which is another reason why I love her. I like the whole heel & babyface persona changes it's cool definitely something you would see in actual pro wrestling I don't think this concept has been used in any other fighting games in terms of wrestler characters
I would make Tizoc and King of Dinosaurs master and student masked wrestlers. That Tizoc was killed by Nelson and King of Dinosaurs want to take revenge against Nelson for his master. However the Verse supernatural disaster prevents him from attempting to kill Nelson. Realizing that killing Nelson wouldn’t bring back his master and decide to save him from the wrathful Verse. Nelson thanks King of Dinosaurs and decide to apologize for accidentally killing his master. And King of Dinosaurs decides to forgive him. As the South American team were killed except for Nelson and decide to par ways. This gain Ramon’s respect for being a kind hearted wrestler but this also loses Angels respect for bloodlust because she wanted to see some blood on Nelson. And reunited with K9999 under a new identity Krohnen.
If SNK and Capcom ever collaborate again, I need to see Tizoc/Dinasaurs meet Zangief, for some reason I believe they probably will become good friends XD and goofiest of teams.
Great video! Even though he wasn't known anymore as Tizoc, I'm glad they re-introduced King of Dinosaurs back into KOF. Now that he, Gato, B. Jenet and Rock are also back in KOF, I hope will eventually get the whole Mark of the Wolves cast back into the spotlight.
Tizoc/King Dinosaur is easily my favorite KOF fighters of all time due to his unique appearance and moveset. Though it's obvious King Dinosaur has replaced Tizoc in recent KOF games, it would be nice to see Tizoc return one day and the loop hole SNK could do is that someone else takes on the Griffin mantle. 🦅🦖

Every time I see King of Dinosaurs, He reminds me of Saurhead from the Obscured Nintendo DS game Fossil Fighters because they both have dinosaur masks. And Saurhead wears 30 of them at the same time. (Sigh, I miss Tizoc).
Before I knew GMOTW, I thought Tizoc was part human and part bird, turns out he’s a lucha libre. I first saw this character in the KOFIII gallery (the Mobile Version before I had a console and new to fighting games) and then I thought the cast of GMOTW gonna be the different to other KOF games, you know, a pirate, a serious kung fu fighter, and a bird-looking wrestler. When there’s an update regarding the rollback netcode going to be added, I decided to make content about this game since it’s underrated for me at least.
Nelson was my favorite character in kof14 and Tizoc in Mark of Garou. It's unfortunate that a lot of people hated team brazil in 14 and Tizoc got a change, allegedly because of Nelson lol. I still hope those 2 can return in 15.
I have a theory on Tizoc/King of Dinos: SNK actually researched on Inca culture and wanted to complete wrestler designs based loosely on the Divine Trilogy of Beasts: Snake, Condor and Jaguar. Snake is King of Dinosaurs (reptile) Condor is Tizoc (avian) Jaguar? Why it's King of Tekken of course.

This is art imitates life, he's a wrestler that just changed his gimmick like how undertaker changed to America badass undertaker, or hulk Hogan change to NWO Hogan, or Razor Ramon to Scott hall (RIP). that's all he did n I find that very cool that it shows that the developers understand wrestling and they change their gimmicks change to evolve as a wrestler.

I would agree of Tizoc/KOD are very interesting characters and yeah like everyone knows that's literally Tizoc even if it's KOD. Still I'm surprised that Angel was the one who convinced KOD and Ramon to join KOF XIV with her. At first I thought it was Ramon guess not. I really like B.Jenet how when she convinced fighters like KOD and Rock she invites them to the Pao Pao Cafe to celebrate and she did the exact same thing with Rock which is another reason why I love her. Anyways awesome video as always. I really like your videos especially the kof lore of these cool characters. I am curious, which character lore will you do next?

I like the whole heel & babyface persona changes it's cool definitely something you would see in actual pro wrestling I don't think this concept has been used in any other fighting games in terms of wrestler characters

I would make Tizoc and King of Dinosaurs master and student masked wrestlers. That Tizoc was killed by Nelson and King of Dinosaurs want to take revenge against Nelson for his master. However the Verse supernatural disaster prevents him from attempting to kill Nelson. Realizing that killing Nelson wouldn’t bring back his master and decide to save him from the wrathful Verse. Nelson thanks King of Dinosaurs and decide to apologize for accidentally killing his master. And King of Dinosaurs decides to forgive him. As the South American team were killed except for Nelson and decide to par ways. This gain Ramon’s respect for being a kind hearted wrestler but this also loses Angels respect for bloodlust because she wanted to see some blood on Nelson. And reunited with K9999 under a new identity Krohnen.
If SNK and Capcom ever collaborate again, I need to see Tizoc/Dinasaurs meet Zangief, for some reason I believe they probably will become good friends XD and goofiest of teams.

Great video! Even though he wasn't known anymore as Tizoc, I'm glad they re-introduced King of Dinosaurs back into KOF. Now that he, Gato, B. Jenet and Rock are also back in KOF, I hope will eventually get the whole Mark of the Wolves cast back into the spotlight.

Tizoc/King Dinosaur is easily my favorite KOF fighters of all time due to his unique appearance and moveset. Though it's obvious King Dinosaur has replaced Tizoc in recent KOF games, it would be nice to see Tizoc return one day and the loop hole SNK could do is that someone else takes on the Griffin mantle. 🦅🦖
Or we get a genderswap version of King Dinosaur with Queen of Megafauna who is a female luchador wearing either a Woolly Mammoth 🦣 or Giant Ground Sloth mask. 🦥

Every time I see King of Dinosaurs, He reminds me of Saurhead from the Obscured Nintendo DS game Fossil Fighters because they both have dinosaur masks. And Saurhead wears 30 of them at the same time. (Sigh, I miss Tizoc).

Before I knew GMOTW, I thought Tizoc was part human and part bird, turns out he’s a lucha libre. I first saw this character in the KOFIII gallery (the Mobile Version before I had a console and new to fighting games) and then I thought the cast of GMOTW gonna be the different to other KOF games, you know, a pirate, a serious kung fu fighter, and a bird-looking wrestler. When there’s an update regarding the rollback netcode going to be added, I decided to make content about this game since it’s underrated for me at least.
We got the confirmation Griffon gonna comeback in the next kof!!

Nelson was my favorite character in kof14 and Tizoc in Mark of Garou. It's unfortunate that a lot of people hated team brazil in 14 and Tizoc got a change, allegedly because of Nelson lol. I still hope those 2 can return in 15.
I have a theory on Tizoc/King of Dinos:
SNK actually researched on Inca culture and wanted to complete wrestler designs based loosely on the Divine Trilogy of Beasts: Snake, Condor and Jaguar.
Snake is King of Dinosaurs (reptile)
Condor is Tizoc (avian)
Jaguar? Why it's King of Tekken of course.

Dinosaur is not Tizoc. He doesn't even have feathers!
The fact that there has been palentological evidence of feathered dinosaurs means that there is some basis in using feathers for the KOD gimmick.
