We were always told to wring the laundry BEFORE draining the washer. Reason being the detergent lifts the soil from your garments, and draining the water while your laundry is still in the tub puts the soil BACK into the clothing.
I have a 1994 Maytag Jetclean dishwasher. It has the electronic controls. It still works perfectly with no repairs ever. No pre-rinsing and the dishes come out sparkling clean.
@@vickileonard72 Look on Craigslist or Offer up. I see them for sale on there all the time. A man was selling this one. I turned it down after I saw how much work it needed, but then his wife offered it to me for free. Free is a hard bargain for me to pass up.
I really enjoyed your commentary. It was very nice and informative. I have a Lat 9824 plus one of the NorgeTag's the Atlantis Mav 8600. Plus a Maytag Neptune TL. I love collecting washers. I have a GE filter flow also. I have to stop now no more space. Lol
@@petermaz701 Oh I love your channel! Thank you for the compliment! You have quite the collection! I had an LAT9604 at one time. It replaced my A512. I love these machines and I might like to have a touchpad LAT9904 but I already have a harvest gold A806 pair I need to refurbish and the wringer washer still needs some prettying up too. Cheers!
@ thanks I have the harvest gold A610 still runs like a dream. I'm telling you you can't beat these older machines. I looked at a couple of ringer washers. It would be fun to have one. I would have to keep it in the shed outside, though I don't have room indoors anymore.
@@LOTGiscool Have them inspected every 3 - 5 years. It can save you a lot of money. I’m gonna do a video on what to look for on those machines to keep them in tip top shape.
memaw had a 1980 Maytag that my brother acquired when he got her house Mom had a 1986 Maytag. Also now she has a whirlpool duet that's over 20 years old. memaw had a Maytag wringer that sat in the corner of the basement, but the inside part was galvanized
I just love that old maytag washing machine.

We had a gray Maytag ringer washer when I was young. Wish I still had it, but I do have a Maytag washer and dryer from 1976. Hope they never give up.
