But in shows or games, you can deduce that they are related in some way. This is also why a lot of games that involve time travel or a prequel/sequel will have the ancestors/descendants look almost identical or have the same hair color/style to that of the present character. Take legends Arceus for example: With the game taking place almost like 400 years ago or smth? The people of Hisui should not look anything like the descendants of the mainline games. Yet they still do so you can see that they are related
