I’m just completely relishing your Kashmir Valley videos. It’s such a treat because you’re actually around the locals and talking with everyone.

@@moonriser464I wouldn’t mind if the tourists are charged a heavy amount of money for littering.
The locals can get income from tourists being stupid(cuz they’re causing damage to nature) and the valley stays clean of litter.

The tour guide was really wonderful as he did help to make all those scenic views more memorable. The water from the valleys was so clear, bubbly, and great for a swim. The filming was upfront, reality of the natural environment, and inviting. I could sense the quietness even though there are actually politically religious concerns.

It was literally where the British officers and their family was "Stationed". So all those locations became "Hill station" and got good infrastructure since they british only cared for their own.

I am absolutelaty elated to see so many foreign tourists in Kashmir, which busts so many myths about the place. The last time when i visited kashmir in 2008, though the place was still swarmed by tourists, they were all domestic ones. Even in remote places like pahalgham, gulmarg, khilanmarg we came across many tourists from different part of India, eating maggi on hills. And now to see all these foreigners, in kashmir from all across the globe, swells my heart with pride. Not only will it give major boost to the local economy but also kill the propoganda by some idiots, sitting across the border. After my visit to kashmir, there was a race with in my friends and family circles to see kashmir atleast once. I remember, sharing the details of tour guides and house boat operators, zillion times with my near and dear ones. I can see how these foreigners will open a floodgate of visitors similarly, from their own end. I am so happy for my kashmiri sisters and brothers. Just hope and pray that the tourists learn to keep kashmir clean.

Pahel literally means "shepherds" in Kashmiri. So Pahalgam literally means "Village of shepherds".
It has nothing to do with "Pehla" in urdu which comes from "Pehal" in Farsi which means warrior. e.g. Pehalwan i.e. Wrestler. That was a title for a warrior who had the 1st share in the loot when they invaded India.

Houseboats were built FOR the british in kashmir since they were not permitted by the Hindu King to own land in Kashmir. But since the british could not tolerate the Heat in India, they often retired to Kashmir and other "hill stations" like Ooty or Deradhun etc. In Kashmir they stayed on the House boats since it was not on kashmiri "land".

19:12 This is one of the plethora of reasons that drives our desire for independence from India. While our electricity powers various regions,we Kashmiris find ourselves resorting to coal for cooking, reminiscent of the 1800s.

Saab ji, is this true though? If you google the Uri power plant, it supplies power to J&K as well. Can you show me a reference or something that tells me that no power is supplied to j&k residents from any of these power plants?
Sorry, I can’t blindly believe someone’s knowledge without them supplying a few sources proving it.

@@manishas9411 I appreciate those who don't blindly follow others. I live in central Kashmir, which is far more developed than other cities, yet we receive no more than 5 hours of electricity daily. Almost every evening is spent in darkness or candlelight. This is a common experience across Kashmir. In winter, we endure over three months without electricity. Holding a peaceful protest for our rights is risky; it could lead to booking or even imprisonment. I wish you knew how our thoughts are silenced.

@@mohammad1906Tell me more. None of this is really covered in the national news channels. How are people in other parts outside of j&k supposed even know all this?
      Halal hugs?
I wish influencers from Kashmir Valley that have a massive following like, The Umar, would use their RUclips channel to make these issues known. We just get the "normalcy normalcy" bs the news channels and nothing else.
With what happened in 2019 for months, I was waiting for my Kashmiri acquaintances to show up online. It must have been crippling for you all bro. Hugs. I was praying you all were alright.

@@manishas9411 Firstly i thank you for your empathy. Secondly, In the realm of news channels, only a naive individual anticipates an accurate portrayal of reality. Over half of the Indian troops are concentrated in J&K, instilling widespread fear and inhibiting open discourse on pertinent issues. The pervasive use of tactics aims to enforce silence, exemplified by the recent arrest of a community leader supporting Palestine. Our communications are under constant scrutiny, prompting reflection on the legitimacy of our quest for freedom. Tragically, my 18-year-old cousin lost an eye merely for participating in a peaceful assembly, emblematic of the numerous others facing similar fates. The anguish of mothers mourning their lost children underscores the gravity of our struggle, demonstrating that our call for freedom is far from baseless or irrational-it is a response to the unbearable culmination of grievances.

    • @manishas9411
      @manishas9411 Год назад

      I’m sorry about your cousin.
Why is it that the Abdullahs are millionaires? Are the state/UT government leaders of J&K are communicating the grievances of the people to the central government? It doesn’t appear to be the case.
