lol I was shedding something similar to this today. There is a video of him playing It Could Happen to You at a conservatory and he does this and it sounds super hip. There’s also recording of Johnny Griffin with Wilbur Ware on a tune called “Latin Quarter” where Johnny does this to great effect
Yeah Chris Potter is a great intpiration - if one day you do not know what to practice listen to any Chris Potter recording and there is a lifetime of material to study :) Love it! Ill check out the Johnny Griffin stuff! thank you so much!
