Hey guys, apologies to the people who commented yesterday, I had to edit the review because I said something that appears to be false, namely that the knife couldn't be stowed in fighter mode. I had a tough time getting everything to sit flush but others say it works so, try it, if you have a problem try removing it and see if that fixes it. It might just be the tolerances are super tight. This video is the same except for the couple sentences where I said it didn't work are removed.
Someone noted that there IS an episode of Delta where Hayate takes Freiya out in the VF-31 and she is wearing a helmet. That's true... but the really exciting scenes generally involve Freiya out singing and then either saving or being saved by Hayate (no helmets there).
Very reassuring! I'm waiting for Mirage's Valkyrie, but this one is tempting! Hopefully there won't be any issues with the super-parts. p.s, Do you think there is still hope for a VF-19 ordanance pack? I want one so bad. 😣
Way overdue reply, I do think we'll get a YF-19 at some point and it will have weapons similar to the ones Arcadia came with. Those weapons will obviously work on the VF-19Adv toy. that's my hope at least... not founded on anything but speculation.
I hope you're right, and that I'll be able to buy the weapons without needing to buy a whole new (but almost identical) Valkyrie. I don't dislike Delta, but I prefer the planes that are more analogous to real-world machines, with actual bombs and missiles etc(rather than sound-systems and drones etc). I hope the next series in 2024 will be a bit more down-to-Earth, with more military-style vehicles, Destroids, tanks etc.
I do apologize for asking the same question again from yesterday. But from this video and the blog on the anymoon website does this mean the VF-31 DX is the almost perfect Valk toy we've been waiting for? Where transformation is complex but fun and no loose parts or fragility issues to be afraid of? The future of Macross DX toys is looking bright if that's the case. I've been holding back on getting the VF-31 just to see how its life-span goes but with this review I have faith collecting and playing a bit with these toys holds no problem in the future.
Sorry to make you ask again. Everyone's tastes will vary... I'm sure some people can't stand the VF-31 design and there's a lot to be said for the simplicity of the VF-1. With this and the VF-19Advance, it does feel like Bandai has hit a new generation of toys and I'd say the future seems very bright. Hopefully we won't learn of a big weakness in these toys in the coming weeks but, if we do, I'll point it out in my Messer review.
Haha I guess we shouldn't be apologizing then. But yeah, a design can make or break for some people. Indeed, especially since the Valks now have ratcheting joints! True. only with Messer's release can it confirm whether the VF-31 mold will hold up. Until then, can't wait for your review of the Messer unit.
I'm not sponsored, that's why I don't end any video sending you to a store. Sorry it's not more help but I wrote this post about that question: anymoon.com/blog/?page_id=2286
This is a toy, not the 1/72 model, so this is how it comes in the box. There is a model though that does require assembly and significantly less expensive.

ScorchedEarthToys I'd use the word "memorable" rather than "exciting", unless you truly liked Delta.
Chronus has the Siegfried 01 marking on it because that is the call sign of Leon Sakaki in the game.
Great review! My always go to content for macross dx related stuff.
Do you know how to repair the knee gimmick? My vf 31j knee gimmick was very loose.
good review thanks.
Are you planning to review VF-31ax with armored parts?
Hopefully see your review !
Yes, after I get my hands on the reissue that's coming out soon, I'll do several videos on the 31AX and its accessories
Good review as always Mr.

Awesome!
Out of curiosity what would be a more suitable purchase?
The VF-31F DX or the YF-29 Yurendal?
transgeek2345 I like the 31 more
What websites do you use to find these toys?
Nevermind... I saw the frequently asked questions page on your website.

Is this the 1/72 scale model ?
Negative, 1/60 toy.
Is this how it comes straight out build out of the box after building?

the Siegfried on the Chronos is the callsign dude...... it's not the name of the fighter....
now I wonder if there's enough articulation to pull off this ruclips.net/video/axdXt5vu1k0/видео.html from the mobile game's april fools prank
