I used to drive past Curtis Pitts shop down in Homestead. One day and he was there. A couple of older men were there as well. I stopped in and They were working on the prototype Macho Stinker. I was given a brief tour of the shop and shown the plane. Pretty amazing to have been able to meet an aviation legend. Quite a neat plane!
Ear and eye candy WOW! A work of art. That kind of power, she must climb to the moon. That engine is a masterpiece in of itself. I sure hope the cowl isn't that hard to get on and off lol.
When you get this done I’d like to see video from the pilots perspective. That will be the closest I’ll ever get to flying in one myself. By the way, that’s one beautiful bird you’ve got there!
Thank you! It turned out great. I got to paint wing fairings and cowling next. Then paint will pretty much be done. Hope to see it in the air in a month or so.
Please don’t assume you’ve got a reliable 464 HP engine. I own a radial rocket with a PF that’s stock 400 hp, as well as a buddy (same airplane) with a PF of 450 hp (with all the mods) . His cylinders are pulling studs. Mine aren’t .
High compression pistons; improved rings; higher supercharger boost; tighter internal tolerances, and HP can also be increased with electronic ignition, fuel injection, ect
Beautiful! It will be interesting to hear about its flying characteristics compared to its baby brother the S1-S. Do you think it will need spades on the ailerons or a trim tab on the rudder?
Is there something wrong with engine? For a radial didn't smoke out the field on start, gotta be something wrong lol Beautiful bird! kinda jealous...:-)
Im much older now, I still feel a bite of regret that I spent thousands and thousands, and thousands, on motorbikes thinking they were cheaper than aviation. EDIT: Obviously not to buy, but to fly.
@@mlrtym2 This engine was rebuilt/ overhauled by Richard Goode Aerobatics and Aerometal. It is a PF with high compression pistons. They completely rebuild these engines with tighter tolerances to better than new specs. They guarantee 425 HP on the PF versions and consistently make over 430HP.
Nothing like round sound. Three eargasms with no cigarette breaks.
🤣🤙🏼

She's a beaut Clark. prop looks huge.
That engine fired right off, very impressive! Looks awesome
Beautiful aircraft, Curtis Pitts was my neighbor growing up in South Florida. I’ve landed on his grass strip at his shop many times back in the 80’s.
I soloed at Richard’s Field. It seems like general aviation in south Florida died with Andrew.

Thanks! Cowling isn’t the most fun to put on and off. 😂
Beautiful plane you have there. Takes me back in time (1970s) when my Dad would fire up his AG-Cat after an engine swap.
I love it! The color, the radial, the sound.. what a great job you've done! Keep it up.
Great to see another Model 12 being completed...workmanship looks excellent. Well done and congrats on the milestone.
Looking forward for the next episode!! Beautiful Bird
Oooooh that sound! Music to my ears!
Thats one beautiful plane. I could listen to that engine run all day!
Sounds amazing. Need to see that beast fly
Absolutely Stunning aircraft!!
What a beast of an engine for such a little plane.
She’s not THAT little. 🤣 22ft wing span. Lot bigger than a Pitts S1 or S2.
M14 just sounds super, beautiful plane 2 👌🏻
Wow, what a beauty!
You tube is bieng unexpectadly kind to me recentley!!! AMAZING 10/10 video!!!!!
I could listen to that all day
turned out great. I remember when Willow and I came down to visit your mom and you were still stripping down the wings. awesome job
That’s right. Thanks for watching brother. 🤣
Wow! That is one “beautiful Airplane”! Nicely done! ✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️✈️
What a beautiful plane! Sounds amazing
Could use a good wash. It's soooo dirty. That is a seriously drop dead gorgeous Pitts.
Thanks for watching! 🤣 Believe it or not but she is pretty dirty from dust and pollen on it. Wait until she’s all cleaned up.
Beautiful! What a gorgeous machine.
Always nice to see a post from Chad. Looking good !
Thanks brother! 😁🤙🏼

Super nice! Someone spent many hours on this! Can’t wait to see it fly! 👍
Yes sir I think we had over 800 plus just in the fabric and paint when it was at the shop. Not to mention all the hours of getting it this far. 🤣
Wow. What a beast!
Impressive machine, Impeccable craftsmanship, sounds amazing, congratulations .👍🏻
Thanks!
Beautiful bird!
Wow extremely nice!! Also love that Quickie in there too. WOW
I don’t know anything about radials, but it sure didn’t smoke when you started it.
It looks huge for that airframe. Beautiful plane, good job!
Love that plane!! Nice work.
Gorgeous paint job!
Thank you! It turned out great. I got to paint wing fairings and cowling next. Then paint will pretty much be done. Hope to see it in the air in a month or so.
Paint looks amazing
Looks and sounds great!!
😳Wow. I love radials.
damn that looks hardcore that massive prop
What a Wonderful Beast! That thing will have you laughing with happiness! Oh yes.. lol.
Very impressively Cool! I love it! Lol
Thanks for sharing.. :)
ABSOLUTELY. 😁🤙🏼 Thanks for watching!!
Very Cool Plain
wow I love this.
wow what a gorgeous aircraft..wow
I guess wheel landings won't be very practical, eh? 😏😂 Holy moly that is so incredible!
Beautiful as always. Cant wait to see it airborne
Thanks for watching! It’s definitely gonna be a BEAST. 😁
Beautiful plane! 🤩

All 4 were beautiful at Sun & Fun last year. Didn't see you at the BPE booth this year?
@@mlrtym2 No , my schedule wouldn’t allow it . Hopefully next year.
Beautiful sir !
gorgeous
Nice Bird, congratulations!
Beautiful…
Sounds awesome. Would love to hear it fly over me./ Really like the AMERICAN FLAG!!🇺🇸
Do host wos gscheits gmacht..respekt oida. Bravo ❤
Hope it flys as good as it looks!
Pretty sweet ❤
You do not love a plane like that for the likes.... but DAMN what a sweet aircraft is that.
Sounds Great ✝️🇺🇸😀😀😀😀😀
How do you get the M14 to produce 464hp? What is the empty weight?
The Beast !!
Barrett pistons? Lower Intake scavenge pump? I saw absolutely no smoke on start up.
Curious how you got 464 HP out of an M14P that stock ran 360 HP? Beautiful aircraft.
High compression pistons; improved rings; higher supercharger boost; tighter internal tolerances, and HP can also be increased with electronic ignition, fuel injection, ect
Nice!
Thanks! Test flight is tomorrow. Will have video coming SOON. 😁🤙🏼
What an awesome plane.
OMG She is beautiful
👍🏻…it sure sounds like it has 464 HP …It’s got some chop to it 😂😂😂
Beautiful! It will be interesting to hear about its flying characteristics compared to its baby brother the S1-S. Do you think it will need spades on the ailerons or a trim tab on the rudder?
Should be fine without spades, it has the boosted type ailerons. It will have a fixed rudder trim tab.
Is there something wrong with engine? For a radial didn't smoke out the field on start, gotta be something wrong lol
Beautiful bird! kinda jealous...:-)
😂🤙🏼
Whoa looks better than a brand new haircut. :o)
I found you missing vice grips.
Check in front of top cylinder.
Preflight complete.
🤣😂🤣 They are temporary of course. Didn’t have the prop cable hooked up yet.
....so...about 1550 pounds with 464hp ??? YEEEEEEEEEEEEHA!!!
Stunning airplane, where is it based?
Georgia
@@ColeAviation Was hoping it would be near me to see it fly.

Wow!!!!!!👍👍👍👍
Like 1/2 of a Beech 18 on steroids.......
🤣😂🤙🏼
👍
A perfect example of Russian engineering, no rocket science, but robust.
niceee :))),,, it spins the wrong way thou lol
Looks like one of those people that are having a hard time in today's economy.
Bidenomics
@@davidhiza5591🤣😂🤣🤙🏼
How much prop clearance in a 2 point flying position?
Not much. Just a few inches. You can’t do a wheel landing in it. It HAS to be a three point every time. Very costly if prop hits. 😬
That front cockpit ain’t got much, what is with the screen ?
Don’t need much in the front. It’s got the same screen as the back with everything you need to know if someone is up front flying it.
Don't need anything up front, it's flown from the rear seat. The front screen is a back up screen showing map, engine info, and flight instruments.
What is the white tank behind the firewall?
Main fuel tank.
wow..looks like cgi. Going to have to take me for a ride to prove this is real :)
What does it weigh?
Mags? Carb? Who dynoed it?
The engine shop that built the engine. Came out to 464HP with 2,000 pounds of thrust. Plane will be around the 1,600 pound mark when done.
@@ColeAviation What shop? High compression pistons? Mags with carb and high compression pistons should be running 385ish HP. PF conversion?
@@mlrtym2 This engine was rebuilt/ overhauled by Richard Goode Aerobatics and Aerometal. It is a PF with high compression pistons. They completely rebuild these engines with tighter tolerances to better than new specs. They guarantee 425 HP on the PF versions and consistently make over 430HP.
@@davidhiza5591 airplane is beautiful.
Could I possibly trade you a dog or two and maybe one of my children for that aircraft?
🤣
SCARY airplane!!!
Ten seconds in, and I see a funeral waiting to happen.
🤔Explain??
Darwin will explain it to you later on..
@@jonesbugattis🤣 yeah. OK
@@ColeAviation Thump!, there it was...
@@jonesbugattisonly if you knew what you were talking about. But thanks for watching.
