love the 360. I have the transom mounted version. I love to use it in shallow water searching for schools of fish. works like a charm after you know what your looking for on your humminbird units.
@@mikekenner9218 I connected to basically any 12 V power source that’s up at the bow. You’re gonna have to cut and splice into a wire… like your trim or light switch
@@drmroneal Thanks for replying. Why would I splice into my trim or light switch? Can't i just run the cables to my battery? Put a 1 amp fuse on the negative? I was curious if I need to hook up the puck to my Helix unit. I am wanting to install this compass puck for Mega 360. Thanks!
@@mikekenner9218 you can run a cable all the way back there if you want to. It’s just a bigger job and yet another cable on your battery. But yes you can do that. As for the helix hook up, my nitro comes with a fiber network that connects all my graphs. I plugged into that. But you can plug in directly to the unit.
You stated that the front of the 360 Is the rounded edge. I’ve noticed on mine that I have to keep readjusting the Allen screws everytime I fish. The front is not always the round edge. How can I fix this issue?
Great video. I'm installing 360 and livescope to my ultrex. I have the livescope mounted to the shaft about 6 inches up from the motor barrel. Will this interfere with the 360 transducer performance since it will be mounted a couple of inches up from the livescope transducer?
ya your readings are going scramble it all up. Live scope you have the best view when its not on the shaft and you turn the transducer in whatever direction you want with out the trolling motor running, or run only 1 unite at a time the fish can feel those pings if you have 4 top of the line units
Need advise I have a Ulterra 112 with I-Pilot link there is a Ethernet cable coming from the head small round end. Need to go at least 10 ft to a Ethernet box. What extension cable do I need. Love you Videos Thank You
Hi Thomas, sounds like you need a Humminbird Ethernet Cable. If you have a 10' run, we'd recommend getting one at least 15' long so you have some leeway. AS EC 15E - 15' Ethernet Cable: humminbird.johnsonoutdoors.com/accessories/cables/ec-15e-15-ethernet-cable?id=18571
Hi Brad, unfortunately not. Check out the bottom of this page for a list of compatible fish finders with the newer MEGA 360 Imaging: www.humminbird.com/learn/imaging/MEGA-360-imaging

very good instruction mounting 360 on ultrex if you twist end of zip tie with pliers until it breaks off you wont have a sharp edge
Thanks for the tip on the zip ties Tom. We'll give this a try.
Nicely done, sir.
All that is covered in my opinion is the easy part of this, why not show the wiring to a power supply, that would be helpful
We'll keep that in mind for a future video Kenneth.
Install is not complete LOL
Where do you plug all of those cords and cables into?
The easy part of the install complete.... jeez worthless video
That's what I am looking for?

What can you use to connect 360 hummingbird to new Ultrex Quest?
Was the DI TRANSDUCER ON THE TROLLING MOTOR ALREADY?
Was wondering if I hook the power and negative strait to the battery, will it always be on while off the water?
Dont have any those tm..have foot control minnkota. Will this work on any tm with fabricated mount? Universal 360 cost more
I noticed some install videos didn't include the heading sensor. Is that required?
It's not required but does provide you more accurate boat positioning on the map, faster position fixes, and constant heading even when sitting still.
This video is incomplete. How did you hook up the compass puck?

I could rig my transducer on a portable rod set up couldn't I so I doesn't interfere with trolling motor , especially when I have I pilot link

Can you just have the 360 on the bough and connect with a Ethernet cable to my helix at the console?
Yes. I only have one helix unit for the front and rest of my stuff is lowrance.
what if you already have a heading sensor
will the as 360 work on an 1158c?

The 360 requires it to be wired into a switch, otherwise it is on all the time - too bad you didn't show that
Instructions do say this. Waiting for an install video that shows this.
Can I use this on a terrova riptide?
Hi Clive, Humminbird doesn't have a bracket to adapt the 360 to a Riptide. Not sure if there are any custom solutions.
Not complete ! You forgot the gps heading sensor for the 360 !
For the select few that can afford this 😒
