It's really wonderful reading all these lovely comments of support here...Mike and Jeff clearly touch people in the most profound way....and people keep coming back. You can't just listen to one of their songs. You end up listening to every single song, once you start.
I have to say I love Neil Diamond's version and have listened to other people's versions and didn't even come close even Johnny Cash's but have to say you two really sound great doing this classic tune.2 thumbs up!!!
I was flicking thru youtube couple of years ago and I accidently found this guy called mike masse glad I did.Solitary man is one of my favourite all times songs and I would like to say mike you do it more than justice it's a beautiful cover version

Almost like an episode from Alfred Hitchcock or the Outer Limits. Where one drives into a small town almost by accident. Stops in to get a slice. Hears this incredible music. Sits down. Song after song plays and it just sounds better and better. And then you observe these local patrons seemingly unaffected to what is transpiring around them. Virtually no emotion and seemingly little appreciation. It bothers you. You get up in anger and scream, What the f is wrong with all of you? Don't you realize that you have gold shining all around you? The owner calls the police and they take you to the pokie. That's how we feel about the stupid audience. It's not natural and very unfair. Yet, you shrug it off and remain gentlemen. That's the definition of a true performer.
+milestoneman I completely agree. I've sat in that very same episode every time I listen to them play and then notice the UNDERWHELMING appreciation.
If I had been in that Pizzeria at the time these guys were playing ,I'd be still there :)

This is the first cover I've ever heard of my favorite Neil Diamond song and I *love* it. Great arrangement, especially on the vocals that recreate the instrumental break and also going higher on the vocals at the final chorus, a great touch. Wow, very impressive!
I'm a huge Neil Diamond fan and was stoked to see you guys covered one of his songs. I found out about you guys last night and have been going through your youtube videos ever since. I'd love to hear you guys cover my favorite Neil Diamond song, "Shilo". I know it's not one of his well known hits, but it's such a great song filled with melody and emotion. It would be great to hear you guys cover "Roseanna" by Toto as well. You absolutely kill it on Africa, great job.

i had the opportunity to watch him live with sterling this evening and he played my favorite song "solitary man" :-) This guy knows how to create a perfect atmosphere were everybody feels relaxed and happy, This is what i call a night out , brilliant covers, keep it up, i'll be back for sure next year @NL #dumpert

It's hard to make a good cover. Either it sounds just like an imitation of the original or too much is changed which takes away from the integrity of the original music. I feel like Mike and Jeff find the perfect balance of sounding just as good as the original while still sounding unique. Keep it up guys!

I went to high school in Boulder, and just played my first gig in CO in 20 years. We played outside the stadium before the Broncos/Chargers playoff game. It was freezing and windy, but fun!

Fabulous! You have several GREAT covers, this being one of my favorites. I'll look in your repitoire to see what else I can attempt to learn. It seems I have an appreciation for a lot of the same music as you. Have you ever considered "Wildfie" , M. Murphy. I think you would do this song great justice.
