Hey! I've just noticed. You forgot to clean the lens on the OP3T. The lack of saturation and the softness of the image on some of the samples is caused by smudges on the lens (left bottom corner @1:35). You can see a "halo" effect @6:16 on the OP3T which caused, and proof of, dirty lens. Fairly good comparison nevertheless.
OnePlus already released an update (OxygenOS 4.5.7) adding EIS on the OnePlus 5 for 4K recording (it already had for 1080p), could you please redo the 4K test so we can see the difference? Oh, and the OP5's front camera has autofocus now? I'm shocked, I didn't know that! :O Really good video! Congrats!
Ygor Cortes Did you get a notification with the update? I didn't get the update, and I checked system updates in settings and it says my system is up to date, even though I still have OxygenOS 4.5.6
Hi draculu, you can use the opera VPN server with the Canada location selected and try to look for the update in the setting as I too had the same problem however after using the VPN I was able to get the latest update. Hope this information was useful to you. Cheers !! :)
The most impressive thing on these camera comparisons with the OP5 is the audio captured by the device. It's just like the user is holding a microphone and talking. Amazing.
Hi Ben, your comparison between cameras is well done. Side-by-side viewing and indication of which microphone is recording is useful; no switching between pictures so you can't really compare. Been watching for a bit now; like your reviews.

This is a great comparison! Wish we were all warned that EIS for 4K would be coming so soon so all the reviewers wouldnt end up comparing it with old spec :/ Still, love your videos the most as you're the only non-biased reviewer I know tbh. Keep it up!
The 3T has noticeable jelly wobble in its rear camera 1080p video, which is often seen on OIS systems and video. Ben, can you do a follow up video on the OP5 with the new 4K EIS update?
is the front facing fixed focus in OP3T is still a issue in 2018? have they fixed it? if i port Gcam or any other app for selfies does this issue gets solved?
I don't have such autofocus issues on my 3t. What i understood of the front facing camera is that, its focus is fixed for a close shot and you get clear shots at close distance, if it had autofocus on the front facing camera, it would have eliminated the blurr issue.

I love how the OP5 already has a dent on the back. This aluminum back is so dumb, my OP3 already has 2 marks from just being in my pocket with a clear TPU protector. You MUST use a hard shell case for these phones. Wish they'd make a quality plastic phone with a big battery and SD card instead of metal.
thanks a lit. very helpful comparison! my opinion is if OP5 would be have optical stab. it will be best, but for me OP3T is better even with less quality than OP5. but it differs from situation to situation as for me selfing during walking running jogging climbing etc is priority, but if you want better quality in detalization and colour contrast then OP5 better

I was searching for a good rc car and that video came. That video was sooo goooooodddd. The microphone camera setup etc. But now they are getting worse. It would be better to delete the video, update the Op5 with the latest version of oxygenOs 4.5.7 that brought the Eis to the recording in 4k

If only the Oneplus 5 had OIS like the 3T, then it would actually be a flagship killer. As it is now it is just a flagship. Still bought it though.
