So glad you were both able to quit your jobs & focus on your homestead. I have watched since you were both living & working from the school bus & the transformation is Incredible! Beautiful job guy’s!🙏🙏🙏Blessing’s
Thank you so much!
@@ThisOffGridLife No, Thank you Katie for all your editing, videography & hard work!🙏
Puting in fence post ain't easy me and a friend did a 6 acre square back when we're young like you to. But in the end it's all with it for you and the animals safety! Thank for sharing keep up the good work!!!
Greg and Katie, You'll hate me for pointing this out, but have you tried using the weight of the tractor to drive the post with the bucket. I've driven railway lines using a backhoe, very successfully. Regards Robin....
A little late maybe but a suggestion. I used my end loader to drive t posts for my pasture. Beats the crap out of the old pipe driver and sledge hammer. C clamp a piece of 2x6 to the bottom of the bucket. One person hold the post level, the other very gently push the post in with the loader. It takes a deft touch, you have to make adjustments to the bucket as it lowers to keep it flat, but I’ve done hundreds that way.
Wow Greg, pounding those poles - full abbs and arms workout!! Well done!
Don't forget the lat's as well.
Hi I would try pressing the post in with the tractor and bucket load of dirt for weight. Great video lots of hard work.
@ 7:14 Greg is wearing off on the animals as that cat is doing some sketchy tree climbing LOL
I'm impressed by your wife always being happy, That's not normal in America
😅😅😅😅
I’m not always happy 😆 ups and downs like everyone else
Bob Ross would call your mix up on the wire of your fence corner a “happy little accident”, now it’s just even more sturdy! 🙌🏻✨😂 Looks awesome guys, and I’m glad that you’re getting warmer temps up there! 😊❤
GeoRom I am a retired Canadian from New Westminster who lives in Arcadia, CA, a suburb of Greater Los Angeles. Thanks for your videos; they make me home sick when I see your property.
Very impressed. This old fellas arms are hurting just watching Greg pound those posts in the ground 😮
Love watching such a hard working young couple, lots of love and best wishes from Scotland 🏴
no snow!....NICE FENCE!
You guys have to be the hardest working folks on YT!! For this fence project other off-griders would have gone to town and bought a mega dollar attachment for their giga dollar excavator, or maybe a dedicated fence-building machine. I really enjoy your videos.
Wish I could hug your necks. You give an old man great joy to watch you both do something that only a few people do and be successful.❤️❤️
Hello from Chapel Hill, NC, USA! Absolutely love your place-Im a 78 yr. Old Gran now but have fond memories when I was fencing in my 10 acres for my goats, donkey, dogs etc! Wonderful life! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Boy does that look like hard work. You guys are crushing it as usual. Who thought it would be fun to watch people build a fence on a Friday night? SF Bay Area, California here.
Over many years I've fenced hundreds of acres of farm fencing and watching this I was about to pull my hair out but alas it wouldn't have accomplished anything so I just had to checkout. Good luck...you're gonna need it. Lol
My dad always had me hold sledgehammer on the opposite side of the driven bolt or spike, thanks for spurring that memory
Been watching you two for over a year or more from Burlington, NC. Enjoy how you both work together and I'm sure there are days... (56yrs. and counting).
Jason said good job on the fence! We always learn from our mistakes! Seems it makes us smarter for the next job! Awesome guys! ✌️🇨🇦💕
Boy, Greg is going to feel that in the morning!
Much accomplished in one day! And no one got hurt!!
Fire up that hot tub!! That is brutal. You guys are the best team around. Happy Spring from beautiful Southern Oregon!!👍
I really enjoy sitting here in Sunny France watching the two of you working so hard and you assistants/supervisors just wandering about - we have a couple of dogs that do the same for us.
There were a couple of shots there that really showed how steep the mountain is where you've created the new road. Now I'm even more impressed than I already was! 😮 You guys are amazing, as always.
(Also, I loved seeing your kitty up so high in the tree! I can't believe the places they can get down from!)
Hey Greg and Katie, we've been watching you for ages now and are well impressed with all of your projects, what a team!
Watching from South Australia and look forward to the next episodes😊
I've driven my share of posts, and your gut will feel like you did 100 sit-ups. Watching from north central Indiana.
I love you all no matter what you are doing. I'm from Georgia.
Some homesteaders use the tracter to pound the posts in the ground with the scoop.
Goats: “Dad! Do not fence us off Fromm our water line digging project! Buck says we have to have that underground by winter..”
Gregg, pounding those posts into the ground is going to wreak havoc on your golf game! Lol. Another step forward on your homestead and looking good.
You do what you gotta do to keep your animals safe..That real good..😊😊
Watching from Pueblo Colorado. You’re doing a great job on your homestead. Thanks for sharing.
You two are crushing it. Love seeing you use the the tractor that way. Enjoy the sun while you can ❤
Hi. I’m from Lyme Regis on the south coast of England. I enjoy watching your videos.they remind me of when I was a child in the fifties and sixties.we had a menagerie of animals such as a sow who had several litters , sheep, goats, hens rabbits, ducks and geese.good luck to both of you on your journey in life.
My body is sore just watching Greg hitting those post ❤❤❤ and im watching Boston Massachusetts ❤❤❤
Hey Katie, what you are missing is that you can't expect anything made of wood to be pounded on like that and not have them compress during the pounding. You only need to trim off the tops when you're finished and no one will ever know that they had been smashed with a sledge hammer. Even metal posts will deform if smacked on with a sledge hammer. So you've save tons of money and ended up with a great product and project.
Hi from a cold and wet England. Seeing you and Greg brightens my day 😊😊💕
Hello to you. I'm watching from Poland. I'm also 78 years old. Your videos are extremely interesting. I always look forward to them. I'm glad that you love animals and have quite a large herd of them. Much health to you.
I'm with you Katie, those posts won't last long. I'm happy to see you are using some metal posts. I guess they will keep the fence up for a few years. Pray for at least 5 before you will need to replace. I'm very happy you are being a responsible dog owner and building a fence. Hopefully they haven't been ruined already with the tracking instinct and dig holes to get out...good luck keeping them in the yard...
Eagle Point, Oregon here...Watched since you started.......Love you guys..
Watching from California, USA. Greg, you should of let Katie have some of that fun you were having driving in those posts. LOL.

Such incredibly hard work, but like Katie said, well worth it. I second that! Hello from Budapest, Hungary!
Watching from Randleman North Carolina USA. NASCAR Richard Petty country. Looking good on the homestead there!
fences are a constant maintenance thing, so bad posts aside (just get it up) then each year as you are doing the maintenance you can just replace posts as needed
A little jealous that you are already so warm outside that you can be out with less clothes. But soon the heat will come to Sweden too. ;)
Katie it would a great idea to add more cable to posts every four or five to give fence extra strength, because it will be a long fence, love to you both, all the way from southern China.
Hello from Salt Lake City ! Fence building aint no walk in the park. Good job!
That's a lot of fence line. Great job.
Hello from St Louis Missouri USA 🇺🇸

and when you do replace posts, they can be metal or concrete for a permanent solution ( even if each year you only replace every 5th or 6th post, all replaced in a 5 year span ) or just replace as needed
Pathway looks great 👍🏻

Hi from South Australia. I love your little intros, so sweet. Good work with the fence guys, you two are a true team ... keep it up and keep the videos coming. TJ
I have done quite a bit of fencing on farms and it's no fun. HARD WORK! Cynthiana, Kentucky.
Guys great job on the fence, but as I was raised on a farm, we would have used the giant tree, and attached a post to the tree and not used the H-frame then set a post every 10 10 12 feet then used a come-along to stretch the wire, or even used the tractor stapling as we stretched it to a H-frame when one was required
Watching from Auburn MI - about 190 km north of Detroit.
Hi, watching from Western Pennsylvania, USA. EDDIE
Im watching from England UK. That is going to be a huge fence, but as you said well worth it to protected your animals. Greg you did a great job on the road. Good team work with the posts x
If you want to stop all animals from getting in the electric the fence and it should be 7'high, You should use some wooden posts to get it up there, make sure you peel all the log posts.
Great job watching from Tucson Arizona USA
Just a quick comment:- Have you thought of using the bucket on the tractor to drive the poles into the ground? A lot easier and not nearly as tiring. Greg's arm muscles are going to be soar tomorrow.
Great Skills so happy for you, watching from New Brunswick Canada, enjoy watching your videos.
