Not just Canadian TV. Anytime the cast, any cast (Including the Broadway, US Tour, UK, and Australian) performs this piece to the media, they tone down the salty language. 😊

@@baileyellison642 The Southern accent is one of the hardest to get right, and it's especially glaring in this role because the original Beverley, Jenn Colella, is from South Carolina.
I know the Broadway version had a dialect coach. I don't if all do. Our accent and culture is made up of Irish, Scotish, British, French and First Nations. You can't just use an Irish accent to try and pass it off as Newfoundland English roots.
I'm seeing this musical in Ottawa next year in August, which is like so long to wait, but I'm honestly so excited! I'm pretty sure it's gonna be this cast ❤
