    Proven rides in the Iriz and Persona with torsion beam in the rear suspension. Among competitors like Mazda 3 too equipped with torsion beam for it's rear suspension. So Proton has done it's homework yet again. Keep it up. The ride is endorsed by none other than YS Khong. Viewers of this clip can be reassured i believe.

    I often use this road to go Balik Pulau. Nice winding road, fun to drive especially with low traffic, but very hard to overtake drivers who are not familiar with the road and drive like a snail.

      Hahaha- it was not planned as part of the script - I just placed it there becaise the phone was a bit bulky in my pocket and I needed the body flexibility on the mountainous ride.

    YS is a 5 time champion. He is racing and rally champion. He is definitely good in his craft.
    He has been in the auto industry for abt 50 yrs.
    He is the most prominent auto reviewer.
    He has the most followers as well as the most read and viewed site.
    Obviously, he must have something substantial to offer, otherwise, he will not be able to appeal to so many for such a long time.
    In fact, his read, viewed, and followers site is growing by leaps and bounds.
    So, he must be doing something right.
    You decide for yourself whether he writes facts or fiction.
    All cars have good and bad points.
    Perhaps, Geely should oversee every aspect of the S70 to ensure everything works out well to satisfy customers.
    This is a bread-and-butter and daily-driver car for most drivers.
    YS is very popular and many are trying to get to his level.
    Some even try to say all sorts of things against him.

    Hi uncle, I would like to hear some comments from you regarding the stable bar/racing bar. Will these stable bars improve car performance? Thanks

    • @YSKhongDriving
      @YSKhongDriving  11 месяцев назад +2

      You must be referring to tue stabilizer bar. Most cars already have one and it is tuned to what the designers want to achieve in terms of handling on one side and comfort on the other side.
      For most cars the suspension is set more to the comfort side and sometimes accessories makers make a thicker bar to reduce the roll. Of course this is at the expense of ride comfort.
      Everythimg is possible but not all products are good: therefore my answer can only be " it depends".

    • @YSKhongDriving
      @YSKhongDriving  11 месяцев назад +2

      They are very similar in characteristics. Both are on a relatively new platform amd both run Macpherson strut/torsion beam.
      I think the Proton's 17 inch wheels may be a great advantage. Definitely the S70 has more power

    How does it compare to Proton Persona, and also Proton Preve to an extend?

    • @YSKhongDriving
      @YSKhongDriving  11 месяцев назад +7

      Remembering that the Persona and Preve platforms are more than 10 years old and that tje S70 platform is much newer in design, I must say the S70 handles very well, and potentially is better.
      It does not mean you cannot tune a Persona or a Preve to handle just as well.
      However it is important to note that there is a balance between ride comfort and handling - I know some cars that handle extremely well, but are horrible to sit in because your brains can become tou foo fa if you sit in them long enough.

    pls watch Tai Choo Yee's S70 Part 1 and 2 for HONEST feedback on how it drives. with it's strength and weaknesses. Sorry uncle but every car you drive comment is superb with political correctness (each car got its good, that car is also nice, to each his preference etc), market nowadays is mature with informed buyers. People will want to compare with Honda City, Toyota Vios at this price range.

      the best person to answer that question, is the potential buyer themselves.
      for me, the S70 steering feels quite light compared to the vios. less road feedback. almost same feeling as the city. vios wins in that category. but that's just me
      all 3 models are available for test drive. no reason not to test them before buying.
      i know a lot of vios owners who are hoping that reviewers will bash the S70 and praise the new vios. but if you really did have a test drive in all 3, you'll know the answer yourself.
      we can just call the new vios as a perodua vios aka myvi sedan, with a bit better handling. same lousy gearbox, underpowered engine.
      reviewers wont tell you that. "enough power" is what they keep on saying. for rm 95k, that car is a big disappointment.
      again, viewers should test drive themselves. just take reviews with a pinch of salt

      TBH, we watch YS's video for his driving review of the car as he is actually driving it. As you've mentioned, "market nowadays is mature with informed buyers", but what they were "informed" might be bias as well. Since you've also brought up political correctness, i guess only those who are always doing things politically correct sees everything in that view. So bring your SJW attitude out of here. We are here to enjoy YS's driving
