Such a great public service announcement! I still remember when I went on my first track day almost 2 decades ago I purchased instruction and the very first thing I was taught was how to sit properly. Thankfully back then I wasn’t a “boy racer” and had the position setup about 80% correct, but the final 20% was noticeable in terms of getting every sensation and feedback from the car and comfortably controlling the car near the limits. That instructions like that are worth their weight in gold I tell you!!
Uncle, thanks for these useful and practical tips! We were never taught such info by our driving instructor back then. Always enjoy your workshop series of videos! Glad to see that you are active again and get back to doing what you enjoy! Take it easy and speedy recovery! Take care!
My understanding is that when you have both hands holding the steering at the 3/9 o'clock position, your arm should be approx 90 degrees (L shaped). This can be achieved with steering adjustments and or seat incline. This also ensures appropriate distance between chest and steering for airbag deployment.
Nice to see you again Uncle YS! Hope your recovery is going fine. Thank you for yet another informative video!
What happened to him?
