I am learning it as a good skill , i don't want to be a professional designer but as I am a fontend developer it will help me for sorting out the things on the layout form this intension i am learning designing . what do you think about this method and Any suggestion for me ..
It is tough for engineer turned designers, because most of them don’t actually get what designing is. For someone with a design background, create a robust portfolio showcasing all the works you have done, on and off campus. Designers with bachelors in design background are highly valued in the market, and they always have opportunities.
im very glad some people out there say the real harsh truths about designing , everyone on youtube is making it look fun and cool and easy and chill and stuff.... that part is also good but revieling the whole image to everyone is a necessity , thank you sinserely.
Thanks for this.ive been trying to get into ux design past few months with a very few basic projects and i can see tats not enough and ive got a job in another field that ive already been working in.Was confusing myself if i have to take that job or not.thanks for ur video.
What do you think about graphic design industry? I've been as a graphic designer in the digital marketing industry for the past 2.6 years. Right now when I'm looking to shift for a better role, I'm struggling with it. Do you have any opinion on this? I feel insecure as my portfolio consists only of social media designs and reels.
Why are you demotivating bro.....There's a lot of struggle everywhere,You said design is very competitive....not more competitive than those govt. job exams....ryyttt... You should instead motivate the learners dude.... the demand for UX designers isnt less....and will keep growing with growing IT sector
If you have watched my videos. I always motivate everyone. Don't judge based on one video. And I'm not here to sugar coat everything. It is harsh but it is reality. People have got jobs because they used to watch my videos from starting and they know what I am trying to convey.
You're saying nonsense, of course it will happen, but why are you so negative? Isn't this a job after all? We're not in a bakery where no one asks you why you put apple flavor instead of chocolate in the cake, the design is different. And you put it in a way that makes it difficult for others unfortunately.
It's all about how you take it. People got inspired by what I said and many experienced designers agree with me. I am not here to put out the happy stuff you need to understand that whole reality.
Don't be demotivated. There are so many benefits of being a designer as well. I will make a video on the benefits Also. That will make you understand that it is worth to do the struggle.
listen to me, whatever he is saying could be all bs and it could be for views as well, but it's not like you won't get jobs at all. ik people who got internship by learning figma and some other stuff, but you just need to have great skills.
It's not negativity. Ask any experienced designer if they will push everyone to move to UX or they want everyone to evaluate themselves. People are entering design just because it looks fun and all. But if they are not able to make it into design then there is no point. It's better to tell them the reality now. And it's all about how you take it. I can consider these points make myself ready for it and be prepared. Or I can just sit down and cry.
I already started my career as UI/UX designer in a startup a month ago and I develop the UI with React js, But I am very much interested in Designing, What should I do.

Yes there is competition in every field but you already have a degree for CSE and not for design so it will be hard for those who dont. And about you, if you are thinking there is less money than developers than that is not true. If you go to any good company they will pay you for your skills. Designers do earn mostly similar to developers. If you are really passionate don't think of going back just for the sake of money cause you can earn in this field as well. And you will also enjoy working for your dream job.
@godzone488 Hey ! Actually, both UX and product designers share similar skills, like user research, wireframing, and prototyping. The main difference is in their FOCUS. Also, UX designers do contribute to making the product, and product designers do apply UX principles and so their roles OFTEN overlap. 🙂

Great video Ankit. As a beginner designer, I think we also need to learn hard and soft skills. That can resolve most of the issues.
