i remember one of my first hdd was as big as a 4 slices toaster and had 2/3 of it's height . that hdd was about 40mb, it had 2 data connectors and 1 molex for power . i believe it was in an old 386 or 286 ( not sure) system i had over 25 or 30 years ago. technology has come a long way since then lol

Now a stick of gum can hold 8 tb or more LOL with barely any power draw and heat .. that's advancing technology
