And here are the buttons for our daggerboards... the skylites to watch the sails... one badass boat . Looks like it will hella fun . Thanks for the tour!!!
Great video! I'm seriously considering upgrading and McConaghy is on my list. I'd love to pick your brain on a few things now that you've had one for a bit!
Thank you for the tour of this nice boat ! I have been to Langkawi 30 years ago at the time, the resorts were limited....It's a nice place to sail in the area....I wish all the best for your sail-
Thanks! For Langkawi, I'm sure lots has changed in the last 30 years. There is an area with some beach resorts...but we haven't toured it yet. The boat tours (day charters) around the islands seem popular.
In the tour we are in the western barrier islands of Sumatra, Indonesia. Specifically the Mentawai and Telo island groups. We joined the boat in Batam, Indonesia. Near Singapore.
Where did you get these nice fitting solar panels and was the flyroof aftermarket or option from MC? Thx. Really nice boat. I like the sailing performance and the open space for living
Hi! The panels are SolbianFlex, installed by MCB. Flybridge roof was also done by MCB. All from their China factory. Yes she sails very nicely indeed! 👌 Oh and, the panels are all made of the usual square cells. The part you see as "fitted" is the top layer of rubber/plastic that allows us to walk on them.
Yes the deck hatches are not big. In fairness, the hulls are relatively narrow, at least as compared to production cruising cats, so there's not quite as much room in there for storage as some other boats, but theoretically it is a tradeoff for better performance.
@Dany-wp5zu theoretically? I think it could be done solo without too much issue. I probably wouldn't fly the A2 solo, but one could manage everything else with the right setup and knowledge. If someone was planning to solo a later version of this model, I would suggest a few minor tweaks only.
The hard top is incredibly practical! We love being ale to hide from the sun (and often rain) while being up high with amazing visibility all around. I've seen the 50ft version without it, and have to say I think this version looks pretty sharp also! 👌
At first blush Without looking or search for your sailing history....quite the unpolished look at your boat. It's like you're stumbling through the various aspects without any foresight. Made it 6 min before I looked for a different video on the manufacturer.
Hi Maximo, our videos are for family and friends, hence the unpolished look. If other people also want to watch, they are welcome to. We don't get paid for any of our content, it's purely for fun and memories. However we do enjoy chatting with people interested in what we are doing or in the boat. Is there something in particular you'd like to know?
Kevin would like to add, we don't work for McConaghy, or a yacht broker, and we have no stake in the sales of any of these boats. Definitely if you are looking for marketing material, the MCB website is your best bet.
A few days ago we went through 45 kts gale force winds with her when crossing the Malaca Strait. She has crossed the South China Sea, and she's doing great! Ocean passages will be coming in the next few years so she's much more than a coastal cruiser! 😉 oh and she moves pretty good too - 17kts SOG so far. ⛵️💨
Yes the living space is nice. With the living space above the water line between the 2 hulls it really feels more open than most comparable length monohulls.
Thanks for sharing !
What a privilege , to live and sail such a georgius boat.
Enjoy !
Fair winds and following seas.
What a beautiful boat. I am so happy for you.
Thanks for the tour guys!!! Beautiful boat 😍
So great to see your video again. Beautiful sv interior
Yes it's nice for entertaining
She's #1!! Ok , interest piqued, thanks for sharing

Glad you liked the video. If you have specific questions that MCB don't answer for you, don't hesistate to email. Kevnjea@onfilandtime.com
So very cool! Thanks for the tour.
A little better accommodations than the last boat, wouldn't you say?
@@onfilandtime That they are! It is so beautiful.
I like your pink sail. My wife and I are def going to pick some pretty sails when we go.
Yes the big colourful sails really stand out!
Jeannine says I should have just answered BUBBLEGUM!!!

Beautiful yacht!
It sure is!
Liked, loved and subbed. Peace from the UK.
Thanks!
The catamaran is amazing probably one of the best I’ve seen. My only gripe is why don’t you let the lady do the tour??? It would be much better.
Thanks for sharing. How fast does she go?
@TheEdge92 we are putting something together now to talk more about our performance....stay tuned. Probably episode 114.
@@onfilandtime Cool, that sounds great!!
And here it is! Hope this answers your questions! :) ruclips.net/video/9_xMBLjYB7c/видео.html
Magnificent boat. Where are you anchored, and where did you take delivery of your boat?
Cheers from yyz

That forward traveler is bad ass
There is one parked right behind me here in Hobsonville Marina, or is it the same one ?
That would have to be a different model. What's the model marking on it say?
55@@onfilandtime
@nigelwatkins558 It says MC55 on the hull? I thought we were the only one! Curious to see a pic!
looks exactly the same, I believe has just been delivered, or is on delivery@@onfilandtime
You need a lavelier mike when you are outside speaking and wind is blowing. Did you listen to this before you put it up?
Yes, we need to use the mics more. Need practice setting it up quickly, as we were in a hurry and out of time!
Gads that thing is beautiful.
And you know when you look at $2000-$10000 folding cleats why the boat adds up to what it's worth.
And in 5 years will be "worth" 50% of what you paid for it and in 10 years "worth" 25%. Why you NEVER buy new unless a fool.
@@w8stral or ridiculously rich.
Nothing depreciates faster than a yacht. @@schtoopid
How much was it?
Cost? I can't say because we didn't buy it. But a Google search might show a listing for this boat model that can give an idea.
No, poor eyesight, it is a 52, and has just today had the mast taken out
Very comfortable and impressive. Just a shame bridge and bow hatches are small. You could store all those cushions and many other things.
Yes the deck hatches are not big. In fairness, the hulls are relatively narrow, at least as compared to production cruising cats, so there's not quite as much room in there for storage as some other boats, but theoretically it is a tradeoff for better performance.
Can you sail alone, ore you need a crew
Most of the time we have it handled with the two of us, but sometimes on longer passages it's nice to have other crew to share watchkeeping.
@@onfilandtimebut a single person can't handle it no?

Hardtop is practical but destroys the look of the boat 😢

such a know it all.
No sound! Get your shit together!!😮😮😮😮😮😢😢
@zeke2566 theres is sound. Tech support says: are your speakers on, and volume turned up?
Just love the width of these top area catamarans.
