Here's another idea I have, It looks like it is operating in mulch mode, which is great; that's the way I normally run my mowers. Occasionally though, I like to open the side chute, usually when it's wet, and/or tall, and/or I just want to get the job done faster. I've so far never seen a mower with this feature, but I've always wanted to build or modify a mower to have a side chute on either side. Since most rotate clockwise looking down, I would have the right side chute towards the front of the mower and the left side chute towards the back of the mower. That way it would shoot out more perpendicular to your mowing path. It would be nice to have those controllable via the remote, and have the ability to have both open at the same time. What do you think about incorporating this feature into the Grator?
I will experiment with it. It's easy enough to cut two openings into a test model. Done this way there would be less clogging when the grass is wet, but one would have to do double work to later remove the hay (or mulch it), otherwise the lawn would be ugly. A flail mower would be a good choice if one didn't care what the lawn looked like. I started working on it several times but always ended up realizing that rotary mulcher is better overall
So small mower, great machine.
thank you🙂
Great mower !
thank you :) It's in active development. Each version is significantly better than the previous one
Wow. Super robust design!
thank you:) it's still evolving
