I love how Anet has been adding at least one brutal encounter per release since EoD (which only makes 2 at this point), so here's hoping the new raid encounters follow suit.
Hopefully It won't be another Eparch CM. ANet really needs to step away from artificial difficulty and go back to their old design philosophy, which can be clearly seen with most raid wings, EoD strikes and 96, 97 and 98 CMs.
Like Harvest Temple, power creep and other changes in balance made basically every elite spec viable for that encounter. Hopefully the same will happen to EoS and LCM in the future!
I know it was a long time ago (6 years now), but do you plan to ever make another audiobook? I would love for Edge of Destiny to be done. Ghost was so well done, and I was sad to see you never did any more of them. @WoodenPotatoes
I feel having LM being the purple title and EoS being harder but normal colour is fine as it's not really the proper way to do the fight; similar to Voice in the Void for the Ankka strike. Things like the clone resistance lasting 30s, which is probably unintended, are a good quirk to fights as it allows the community to collectively poke around with some mechanics and optimise or discover new stratergies.
Congrats on beating it. I sadly can't prog for this fight because I just don't have the time to join a consistent group. I saw one that was going to be a daily group but it would conflict with 5 of my 7 days 😅
Are you ever going to do normal lore videos of GW2 again. I came back to GW2 after 6 years or so and fell in love again, used to watch your lore videos religiously. I now see those are not as present anymore, but you stream a lot. I would love to see another ''GW2 Janthir Wilds lore theory video.'', Hope all is well
Yeah it's just good old arc. To be honest the breakbar/revival windows weren't really that fun to watch for this prog but damage taken is always a good time!
God I wish I could have ever gotten into the game like that. Raids and I guess anything since the second set of strike missions basically have eluded me since release. I'm just not good enough, or my groups weren't good enough. I think I have done Wings 1 through 4 and then some single bosses killed, but never full clears and it all tooks months. The moment it comes to rotations my brain just shuts off, can't help it.
I started raiding on Berserker and only camped axes unless I had to swap to maxes for CC. It doesn’t decent damage, is high APM, and has one goal: hit more with your axe burst. The guides that Laranity made and beginner guide for Condi Virtuoso are also very good and very simple. It feels less of a rotation and more “do this rhythem” if that makes sense?
This is the hardest of the hardest encounter in the game and not representative of the newer content. the normal mode strikes are almost braindead easy, there isnt really a "start" its mostly move out of the way of mechanics. Normal mode strikes are way easier than any raid boss except maybe mursaat overseer. Just pick a build that's not trash and spam all your skills and you'll be good. In fact you'll be better than 99% of players in strikes. Don't event need to learn a rotation lol

I'd like to get the hard titles at some point. I consistently out DPS most DPS players as QDPS herald, but I can't stand LFG and finding parties. People are hostile sweaty try hards, and most of the time can't even out DPS their boonsupport.
He seems to have one, he just isn't pushing it very hard. I found it in the video, description for "Guild Wars 2 New Expansion: The Janthir Wilds Announced!!" He explains in the video why he isn't pushing it as hard.

Every class with portal? Seems crazy - I mean maybe instead of making it so that every class have a solution for this portal issue just don't create this kind of problem in an encounter? It's gonna end up like retail wow... bland without class diversity

It targets the player who created the instance? That's wild, that doesn't sound intentional at all.
There are multiple encounters that use this or a similar mechanic. So it is intentional.

19:40 incorrect, 5 people need to be in the green before you choose to defeat the facet of envy. Once you do, the 3 greens require 3 people in them

That much purple is a balancing failure by anet.

I definitely plan to clear the lcm as well. Once ANet/the community get to a meta that allows me to easily join as Ranger.
