Thank you St. Anthony of Padua for your intercession! Lost pocket knife and phone retrieved instantly, even after a two day search for the latter. My phone literally fell from my lap onto the floor five seconds after asking for his intercession! crazy!
Happy new year🎉! I like these memes as a Catholic. People like you bring out the good Catholic memes without being blasphemous. Sharing the good news while bringing humor. Good job.
6:07 it's amazing how people keep finding Christian themes I've LOTR. I can see an image of the Eucharist in the lembas, or of Marian apparitions in Galadriel apparitions. I can see how Aragorn can be the image of Christ the king, Frodo off Christ Suffering, and Gandalf of Christ High and Everlasting Priest. But to see the Communion of the Saints in the army of the dead, that deserves a slow clap 👏
@@insertreferencehere.8066I saw a woman do just that last week at mass and realized instantly I didn't have to awkwardly crouch when receiving on the tongue while everyone else is receiving on the hand standing upright. The woes of being a recent convert. 😅

@@ChrisMoser-c2y here is one talking about the removal of abstinence of meat on Fridays (1966), the problem I point out is the removal of touchpoints in the faith during the week. ruclips.net/user/liveYfhz0H7_WBc?si=w8mw16G8n4dP67gm I also discuss it a bit here, the lack of devotions being a main culprit for the lack of priests leading to the priest crisis. ruclips.net/video/9yc1UnvKOAk/видео.html A lot of these changes are the implementation choices in light of the Council, or made up yet still citing the Council, and not the Council itself. I like your memes. I love the Catholic Church. I like medieval Europe. But for the love of God, the Crusades were never the best manifestation of what it means to be Catholic. And it seems sometimes like every second Catholic meme is aboutnthe Crusades. (And I get it, these are just memes, we dont really want to kill infidels, etc., but the way the Crusades were carried out were just sooo out of keeping with what the Church wants, even if maybe the original intention was good, that all this glorification of them not only makes us look bad in front of other religions but more importantly, it actually IS bad.)
The average crusader did so out of faith, sacrifice, and honor, it was the leaders that tended to make it a problem. Also, yes, there are a lot of memes about the crusades but it is to capture that honor and sacrifice, not the bad things.
dont say protestant. There are many protestant high church branches such as lutheran and anglican. myself im a lutheran and our church is very high church and with all traditions. We even have rosary. instead of protestant you should say baptist or non denominational thats two low church churches. W lutheranism
28:03 I seriously hate this meme. You all think that those who tried to find someone and couldn't are any less a part of the body of Christ? You think those who are single are automatically meant to be priests or members of the clergy? There are those who will never marry through no fault of our own, and you think for one moment this is how Catholics should view those who can't find a partner? As some sort of pariah? Or push on a job that married people can't do rather than realize not everyone who is single is called to serve as a priest? No wonder single men have been leaving the church.
You are looking at it too narrowly. There are plenty of roads to the right castle, you cannot fit them all in a meme, it is generally understood that memes do not give the whole context given the medium. As long as you are still discerning your vocation, there isn't a problem.
Bruh. That's uh, the point that you should *discern your vocation* and not just be like "guess I'll get married"/"can't find a wife, guess I'll be a priest." Or just coasting along hoping whatever it is falls into your lap.
@@Memewhile321 I'm not the one who only showed three options. And by deliberate action or ignorance to someone who doesn't fit into a cookie-cutter mold, this is a blind spot the Catholic church as a whole doesn't deal well with at all. Bishops don't see it, the priests don't see it, and the parishioners may or may not recognize it when someone just leaves and doesn't come back. And when guys like me bring this problem up, this is exactly the response we are given.
There is nothing wrong with the meme, the issue is your response based on an unreasonable interpretation. Again, if you are discerning your vocation, good. The only problem shown in the meme is if you aren't discerning what God has planned for you.

0:44 or, when you are the only one standing up when you're supposed to
I feel the same way when that happens to me.
I've been receiving on the tongue for so long I forgot how to recieve by hand
Living the meme 😂
The nice thing is that you can still kneel and receive on the tounge even without a rail. That is what my family does.

No problem. Asking St. Anthony.
Can anyone explain the Catholic men before and after communion meme at 15:55.
The guy allows the rest of the family to go and then ends up switching from the front to the back.

Y’all can’t deny that there’s a lot of problems immediately following “THE COUNCIL” 20:23
I address those issues on my (Ryan) Catholic channel Modern Papist.
The Council itself wasn't the issue.
I will check it out and continue the conversation over there!

Historically, it was strict abstinence.

The problem is the division within Protestantism which was started by high church Protestants rebelling in the first place.
