Really great vid, Alex. A tool I haven’t really used a lot but with those examples it’s one I’ll definitely tinker with more. Also, sick Patagonia jacket man!
Thanks my man! Gotta use the curves, it adds that something special! And yes! Subaru Canada gave it to me when I did some work with them last year, they are a great company to do work with. Big fan of the jacket too 🙌🏼
Great quick tutorial. However, I have been a photographer for 4 years and never liked the tone curve. I just think I could achieve the same result using the exposure, whites, and blacks slider. And masking always a must, which makes a picture stands out. Would love to know your opinion on this :) Thanks.
I use the exposure to get the photo to a happy place with dynamic range and basic contrast levels. I use the curves tool to add “style” so either pop or fades or minor contrast adjustments. The curves and the basic tone section can work together to get more pop in the image.
The tone curve has been a pain point in the past, thanks for making it so clear!
Thank you so much for this in depth review, I had always wondered what the RGB section of the tone curve was for
should i look to use this curve as a last step? or more of start the editing process after i’ve established my curves
Thanks very informative 👍
Great breakdown, definitely going to be trying out the pop curve!
Gotta use it!

Super helpful video! Thank you!
Great tutorial!👍👍
I need to get better with curves, thanks for the video brother 🙏
No worries! Hopefully this makes it a little less daunting to try and use more often. 👍🏼

Thank you for the tutorial video
My pleasure! Hopefully you found it helpful 🙌🏼
Excellent video. Love the golden hour look.
The new office look you dig? I’m close to being finished the office space but loving how it’s coming along. 🙌🏼
@@TheCarCreative yes! an office tour video would be sweet.
i would like if you would do a tutorial how to edit car photos in the canon dpp4 editing software
Dang. I don’t have that. I’ve never heard of it either. Is it any good?
thanks for video btw!
are tone curve and basic section connected? I mean isn’t it the same, if for example I drag shadows in tone curve and shadows in basic section?
Yeah I don't get that neither
Also interested with that.. Looks very similar, but for sure there's some difference
Why do you use LRC still? I just use the modern lightroom. I like it more.
Modern yes but lacking some controls, but there are definitely benefits to the one you’re using also. I just prefer this one for my use cases.
