    This is an original piece based on the motif "D-E-A-F". Beethoven was famously deaf, and could not hear while he was composing some of his most loved works. One of these works is his Symphony No. 9. This incredible piano piece, D-E-A-F, is based on a few of Beethoven's most well-known and loved melodies and motifs. Within, you can find Für Elise and Symphony No. 5, rewritten in a creative and exciting way!
    Composed by Rafał Bienias
    Edited by Andrew Wrangell & Samuel Dickenson

    he wasn't completly deaf, he could still hear the piano if he put his head on it. also he had years and years of practice before he went "deaf", he didn't have to hear the piano to know what note he was playing. he had moderate hearing loss. it wasn't as severe as your making it out to be, but even with that it is still very incredible.

    • @ww6372
      @ww6372 5 лет назад +26

      Well not quite. By the 9th symphony he was severely deaf to the point he had to be rotated to see the audience applauding for he didnt hear it. This revelation made him contemplate suicide in 1802. He decided not to give up and wanted to perform an Emporer Concert in 1811, however the failure of this lead him to never perform again.
      His hearing loss is commonly attributed to severe lead poisoning, but they have also found lesions in his ear. Typhus and syphilis have also been considered possibilities.

      he bit down on a metal bar attached to the piano to hear the vibrations through his jaw. the fact that you can hear through your jaw also explains why the voice may sound different on recording. you hear your own voice with your jaw, but when it's played back you hear it with your ears and the hearing mechanisms are different, if only slightly.

      bruh wtf??, dudes first of all even tho he can still "feel" the vibrations doesn't mean he knows exactly what it sounds like. with that logic you cant classify anyone deaf. that "bone induction" thing only applies to yourself, yeah i know its been a thing, just do your research first before more idiots believe that nonsense. and as for the explanation of how he can still compose while he's deaf was because of his "perfect pitch". in case you don't know even what that is, to put simply he "knows" what that specific key would sound like even without hearing it. next time know everything first before you make bold assumptions cuz you really ticked me off
