- Since the movie "Bohemian Rhapsody" is coming out in a week or so I decided to make a black MIDI of Queen's most epic song.
This has to be the most difficult song I've ever blacked. It has so many modulations and nothing repeats exactly the same, so I had to do each section from scratch. Sorry about it being a bit rushed at the end. This project deserved at least 50 hour's more attention, but I'll be so busy for the next year (HSC year) that I'd never finish it. I'm sorry if I butchered it.
Also, sorry about the average video editing. I was pressed for time (as per usual).

@@8bit_cat72 since pianos have multiple strings for each note(the higher ones, not the lowest ones) if you modify the piano and cut each key into 3, you still wouldn't have enough so just buy more pianos

How does it sound like bohemian rhapsody even when you are pressing *EVERY SINGLE NOTE ON THE PIANO*
Why we can hear the words even though it’s just a bunch of chaotic piano sounds
We’ve all heard the original song multiple times, and our brains have memorized that when certain sounds are in a certain order, that’s the song. now when midi files are created from mp3s, they interpret those sounds into notes to be played on piano (or whatever instrument). every single sound. so basically a piano is trying to preform the vocals, drums, the backing vocals, the real piano, the audio effects, and literally everything else that obviously creates a weird cacophony of piano smashing. however when our brains hear those smashings, they get kinda confused. because those sounds are bohemian rhapsody’s sounds. they’re the exact same sounds. but they don’t sound right.... but they’re sounds...? what’s going on? and in an attempt to make it stop sounding so weird and wrong, they put in the sounds that we know are absolutely know are supposed to be there. these are usually vocals, because our brains are already good at hearing human voices, even when distorted. we’ve all been hearing them our whole lives, after all. so our brains helpful supply what voice we should be hearing. but it’s not actually there.
we’re literally hallucinating because we’ve listened to bohemian rhapsody so many times.
The actual notes for the song are played like 7 times not every key is only once the same key could be pressed like 20 times
The correct reason for this is that not everything you see here is actually being played, most of the “impossible” notes are just essentially an art show and are muted, while the actual song with a couple of additional parts like the “drums” and arpeggios have been added on
@@Viper-dz2kw they are not muted you can still hear them. Just the notes for the melody are played like 20 times making it easier to hear then the whole song is turned down. It's hard to hear the notes played once (art as you called it) but you still can. On the full piano sweeps you can hear it very easily.
Hawns321 the best example I could say to it being muted is that stretch is right after 3:50 those green, teal, and blue helix’s are not making any noise and if you can hear it I’ll be wrong but I’m pretty sure that that’s an indication to not all of this being audible

The melody is louder than everything else, and all of the huge color walls are just played so quietly that they don't affect the overall sound unless literally every not on the piano is played at once.
