Straight up, this video was critical for my recovery. I was/am suffering symptoms of gastritis. Bone broth was critical, as were the supplements that he mentioned. PPI's also helped the cause. It does get better. What also helped me was a pretty radical change in my diet, inspired in part by this video. I was at about 12-18 drinks a week and ate pretty terrible food. Once I developed symptoms I stopped drinking entirely, switched to keifer/greek yogurt as my main food source, and slowly worked in unprocessed proteins like chicken, etc. DGL Licorice and digestive enzymes are also key. Seriously, again, this gets better. Just take it seriously and solve the root of the problem.

I been having this problem for 3 years now and never really knew if gastritis can lead to more complicated medical issues but fortunately, I've become much more cautious of my problem and trying to find a way to cure it for good. I've seen a nutritionist in the past and she gave me a generic nutritional information but didn't go too much in-depth about my specific medical issues and what I should do to combat this issue for good. anyhow, I would be over the moon if Dr. Axe would take his time and answer some of my questions though.

HIs doctor's did tests and said he has stomach inflammation, but they didn't know why and couldn't diagnose him with anything. I took it upon myself to order him a Food Intolerance at home test kit, and the results turned out he is Gluten/Wheat Intolerant (Non-Celiac). We eliminated gluten from his diet and he started to feel better. I think food intolerances are the main cause for gastritis. Food in the US is not very clean, so yes avoid processed foods best you can.

Right. How to get stress out of my life is difficult. But that's exactly what helped me heal. Recreation has the word meaning to recreate. So how can I help others if I have an empty gas tank? Also mindfulness meditation has changed my life. I prefer Cristian mindfulness. But I started with Jon cabet zins cds. & learned the art of non doing. Being diagnosed with fibromyalgia & chronic fatigue 10 yrs ago slowed everything down. Only recently my new Dr. ✔ ed for low b-12. Now I can get out of bed.I ✋ed taking ranitidine & put a capful of a.c..venigar in my grapefruit juice. 1st meal is my biggest. I eat the rainbow. We must slow down. Yes. Stress can kill u. Seen it. I am 38 years old. Have been dealing with gastritis off and on since I was 19. I am to stubborn to change my life style and I was a chef for 20 years. That made it very hard to not eat or at least try all kinds of foods. Anyway, one thing that helps me when I get a flair up is a nice hot soak in the tub. If your bath tub sucks then a hot shower can do the trick. Something about the got water just relaxes every part of my body including my stomach. It works great while you are in there and for about an hour after you get out. But then it seems to come back again. So, if you are looking for relief I suggest a hot bath or shower. You will at least feel good enough to relax or maybe get some sleep before the symptoms return.

I use a wheatbag, heat pack or old fashioned hot water bottle. The wheatbag lasts the longest and the heat seems to go further into my body and settle the pain more. Hope this helps you or anyone suffering from gastritis pain, it's horrible.
It's one of many health challenges I face daily and I have had it for years now. Only in the last year I have been diagnosed as coeliac (an allergy to gluten) and about 6 years ago I was diagnosed with a lactose intolerance.
I suggest anyone who has gastritis or problems with their gut go talk to a doctor, try removing certain foods (if you suspect an allergy or intolerance) from your diet to see if it helps.
Blessings from South Eastern Australia, Dot

@@suesmith2398 why no dandelion if you have gallbladder issues?

    • @suesmith2398
      @suesmith2398 Год назад

@@sandrac11 Dandelion is not recommended for people with gallstones. The reason for this is that the dandelion is a major cholagogue. A cholagogue is a product that serves to stimulate the gallbladder by increasing bile production.
This principle, which is very suitable for people with stomach indigestion because of a “lazy stomach”, can be counterproductive in people with gallstones. Stimulation of gallbladder can provoke a biliary colic.
Therefore, people with gallstones or obstruction of the bile ducts should not take dandelion as food. This also includes medicinal preparations with dandelion, such as capsules or tablets or other dandelion supplements.
Dandelion, as well as medicine or food, for its ability to increase gastric juice should not be given to people who suffer from heartburn or stomach ulcers.
Dandelion should not be given to people who are allergic to plants of the Compositae family.
Is dandelion also contraindicated for kidney stones?
Kidney stones are mainly caused by oxalates. Dandelion leaves contain many oxalates, so it should not be eaten as food by people with kidney stones.
However, the amount of oxalates that can be ingested by infusions of dandelion is too small to affect the kidneys.

Dizziness can be part of gastritis. When I feel my duodenitis and anstrum gastritis acting up, I start to feel dizzy. I've battled this for 6 years after the birth of my daughter. The hospital gave me heavy antibiotics and NSAIDs for pain. After coming out of the hospital, this is when my digestion was never the same. I've read online that it's either a GI infection, or injury that causes the gastritis/duodenitis. I've lost the quality of life for six years straight to to these painful inflammations. So, I finally decided to do a stool analysis to find out if I have SIBO, candida infection, or parasites that is causing the chronic gastritis. If the stool test turns up fine, then I'll know that the Motrin/ibuprofen/NSAIDs started my gastritis. Thank you.

My concerns are :1) Will these two things (leaky gut & oesaphago-gastro-duedonitis) are appear similar to the dr performing the endoscopy ?2) Fermented foods are great for leaky gut, but they are acidic hence I assume bad for gastritis/gerd.....how do I incorporate fermented foods into my diet ? Is there a way to mitigate the lactic acid irritating my gerd/gastritis ?3) Beside zonullin, what other diagnostic test should I get?4) Are there any scientific studies on bone broth in terms of gastritis or leaky gut ?Thanks a lot for your great content!

I went to my GI doctor. They set me up for a EGD. I had it last week. So thankful I had it done cause my doctor found the gastritis. He took pictures of everything and I couldn't believe all the white foamy bubbly junk which was acid. The same junk that comes up in my mouth. I'm on some medication now. Waiting on my biopsy results. I had to have my esophagus stretched. A lot of my problems were from a big hitial hernia surgery with mesh I had back in December. Since that surgery my life hasn't been the same. I will never be able to throw up. So I keep my nausea pills with me. I have gas and belching. I was told that I would have that the rest of my life. I can change my diet or live on gasx or beano. I have chronic constipation so I need those gassy foods. Right now I'm on a very bland diet and don't have much of an appetite. Since my surgery dairy makes me sick. When I'm feeling better I'm going to get checked for dairy allergies. I have to read every label. So aggravating. With my esophagus stretched I should be able to digest my food better. A EGD is the best way to go. The doctor can see everything. I hope ya'll get to a good doctor and get better. Taking mylanta isn't going to cure gastritis. Gastritis can lead into ulcers and then into cancer if not treated. I had gastritis last year that I think made me anemic. I had a lot of things going on. That hernia was huge and it had been there for about 10 years and I had no idea. Half of my stomach was upside down in my esophagus. I failed the swallow test so that's why they had to do mesh. My doctor said it was intact and looked good. Mesh scares me and I don't care what anyone else thinks about it. I just want this gastritis to go away.

Emily Ann , I've had gastritis for the past six years. They say mine was due to h.pylori infection in my stomach. So I took the triple therapy to get rid of the infection, which worked but for about 5 1/2 years after I was still dealing with this problem. I could not eat hardly anything even water upset my stomach and always had a numbing pain literally all day long. They kept trying to put me on PPI'S and other drugs like Zantac to reduce my stomach acid. But come to find out my theory is that my food was staying in my stomach to long causing the acid to constantly attack the stomach leaving it irritated all the time. So what I do everyday usually 2-3 times a day depending on how many meals I eat I mix 1tsp of braggs apple cider vinegar and 1tsp of just any kind of honey for the sweetness and mix it in a glass of water and I drink that 15-20min before every meal and I had my gastritis and other symptoms taken care of in less than 2 months.

Gary Smith were you experiencing diarrhea as well. Because i have the same issue your having. But im diagnosed with acute gastritis and ibs. If you dont mind me asking? What does the apple cider vinegar do? Becuase im looking for a natural remedy alternative if i do decide to go the natural route

@@garysmith1099 Got my gastritis from h.pylori too, but when i take apple cider my stomach does not hurt or burn which is kinda weird and i dont have stach pains at all, i assume that .pylori made my stomach acid low. And thats why i got GERD/Esophagitis.
