Yeah, I prefer the original MPFC original ending to the carriage animation too than this version from the movie. The censor lady’s voice is still funny for consistency’s sake, but the echoey old man voice from the original is just more weirder, which I feel makes the payoff of FC’s version a little bit funnier. And I do miss the censor stamp of the original Figleaf sketch too. Speaking of the original baby carriage animation, who was that guy? Was it an older censor? Was it God himself as interpreted by Terry Gilliam?
Inspired! No doubt one bit with the pram and the last bit was a dig at one Constance Mary Whitehouse, who was running a campaign to Clean Up Television (almost Clean Up National Television, lol) around the time the animation was made. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Whitehouse

These sound different from what I remembered from pbs when I was a kid. I think the voices were redubbed. The Michelangelos David crotch voice was completely different, the original voice was a man.
Maybe it was altered for pbs when you saw it as a kid to be "family friendly and this is the original. 🤔 I don't actually know but could be that way round too.
@@HarbingerOfBattle Mary Whitehouse campaigned for decades against smut and violence on British TV, was very vocal, and the complaining voice in this skit sounds just like her.
We owe a Lot to Terry Gilliam for basically inventing sh*tposting.
I'm dying...the old man's feet joyously bobbing up and down when the pram is attacking 😂😂😂
Honey I think that is a woman.
Hes got a mustache bb@eleanorhogan8643
Terry Gilliam's animations on Monty Python's Flying Circus, were what attracted me to watching Monty Python in the first place, when I was a kid.
These animations were the reason I found Monty Python as scary as Dr Who.
I was the same mate - back in the seventies I just loved those animations - still do.
The way one bit of absurdity cascades and crashes into another was always part of the mad glory of Mr Gilliam's work.
Terry Gilliam's animation deserves a comment.
He does as he much brilliant as artistic in all Python Animation. Brilliant
and you wasted your comment saying it deserves a comment. come on, man.

I know some of the cutouts are from magazines, but I think some of the others were original drawings.
The inspiration for South Park's paper cut out animation.
The man depicted my brain without my even knowing it. He is a complete and utter genius.
He has to push the pram a lot
Terry Gilliam deserves an Oscar!
i remember seeing this bit on tv as a kid... and the hand reaching for the leaf cracked me up
Been years since I saw this, and finally found it again.
It is amazing how much this has gone on to be a Brilliant and Funny as anything else we see in classical BBC Comedy.😊
I love these kind of animations
@Too Cool ok, the French made some really good animations back in the time
Me too
I love the 'Ahah!' when the hand finally grabs hold of the fig leaf! 😂😂

Ooomgh! Ooh! Ooh! Ooh! Owww... Then silence, and the bonnet/hood is raised.

OMMM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM NOM

Stop it, Stop right there! this is absolutely disgusting and I’m not going to stand for it (carriage is turned around) there, kill!
I'm fucking crying
So this is what inspired the south park animation
Thank you. I laughed harder than I have in at least a week.
Grr! Just when it was getting good!
Those long arms must belong to Mr Tickle.
The only silly thing about this is you do not get prams designed like that.
Wot, with a free cannibal baby? Why, those were common back in the Times. Why, I remember one day....
@@BuriedFlame I was just saying that prams have the inside facing backwards.
I love the injustice of that hand... just when it was getting good
Wait a minute, buckerroos. This has gone far enough.
I think that that was from the original TV version (and funnier as well).

Trust me, there's not much to see on the actual David.
He has pretty big hands though
0:45 Tricked and Evacuation scene
This has better animations than Hollywood movies
