Don't know how I ended up watching your videos but they are awesome. I envy anyone that has the courage to fly those machines. Great charity, well done gentlemen.
Thank you so much
Me again. This must be the most exhilarating flying experience? Did you have any previous flying experience?
I have flown RC gliders and helicoptors for over 30 years. I then did around 100 hrs on paramotors. Also many trial flights in gliders. I have had my pilots licence for 4 years and done over 600 hrs on flexwing microlights
What a shame that the 'focal point' of the trip was obscured by cloud - especially as after the previous few days' bad weather you had finally been flying in pretty clear conditions all the way from Alta to the final approach to the North Cape that day, 😞!
When I saw you approaching the Cape and dropping in under the cloud, I did wonder whether you would manage to get round below or have to turn round and come back up through the gap and fly round above the cloud instead (been 'there' myself more times than I care to remember - though not at the North Cape of Norway of course).
It must have been a fantastic sense of achievement (and relief) to land safely back at Alta in the knowledge that you now 'only' had the homeward journey to go (though I know you had lots more adventures still to come).
I really enjoyed your talk to the TFA this week by the way. Will hopefully catch up with you and Dave at some point soon.
Looking forward to the rest of the videos. Best Regards, Peter R
p.s. holding for 737s is par for the course up here as we transit EGPH regularly from East Fortune (though without any intention to land there of course - just 'Hold at 'xx' and advise visual with the inbound (737 or whatever)', then 'Clear to cross at the (06 or 24) threshold above and behind the landing aircraft.' (Remind me to tell you about my very first zone transit - during my 2nd qualifying cross country sometime - I still say it wasn't my fault. In those days I didn't know the difference between an 'Embraer' and a 'Citation'.... Oops! 😲)
Hi Peter thanks for your comments. To be honest when we arrived at the Cape and it was obscured by clould I never felt cheated. As I turned and flew around the back of the Cape (the part where you can see the road on the video) I considered going around for another pass. But a second pass just wasn't an option for the following reasons.
Firstly we were on a flight plan for the reassurance that someone was keeping an eye on us and also as we were in Honningsvag/Valen airspace.
Secondly we were on a round trip to and from Alta that was esimated to take around 3 hours 30 minutes and we have a 4 hour endurance.
Another pass could have put 15 to 20 minutes on our flight and with changable weather we would have no time left to dodge any weather as we had done on previous flights. And as you can appreciate the prospect of an unplanned land out was just not an option!!

It's amazing feelings when i saw you descending under the cloud for a good view of the North cape,I must say Rotax gods were watching you. What an achievement mate! ?,Great capable P&M AVIATION MICROLIGHT AIRCRAFT with very dearing and capable pilot as well. [Trevor].Cheers mate!!.
Thank you for your kind comments. It means the world that you are enjoying the series.
living it large! would go for cross fades between clips as it makes for a gentler watch. Stunning scenery in Norway sure beats Skeggy!
Noted. Thank you👍
Well done both, I envy you that trip to the land of my ancestors (according to my Ancestry DNA test). You've earned your places in Valhalla!
Hi Graham. Thanks for your comment. Valhalla here we come 😀
Wow, no idea how the algorithm led me to this but it's brilliant. What an adventure! Thanks mate. Wonderful!
Glad you enjoyed it. Please watch the whole series. 👍
Absolutely beautiful flying. Don’t you have or get anxious flying over water and terrain like that?
I would be lying if I said no. But not a lot of choice if we wanted to get to the Cape. Fortunately the Rotax gods were looking after us.
Outstanding - have enjoyed this whole series - thank you for taking the time to process your thoughts and all the content you captured on this trip. Very much like the expression “when was the last time you did something for for the first time” - the one I use is understanding the difference between experience and experiences.
Thank you for your comment. It means the world 🙂
Good on you guys with the prostate funding. Someting close to my heart.
Thank you. we raised just over £8100 to date
I am stunned by your video's and also your courage in flying over water in a single engine machine 🙂
I have become quite comfortable with it. The longest water crossing I have done is from Finland to Estonia. About 50 miles.
Good on you guys. Wonderful to see from here in New Zealand.
Thanks for watching 😊
Superb! My territory. My father was from Finnmark. Paul in Oz
Hi. It's a beautifull part of the world.
@@trev.lee.adventure It is indeed. My dad was from Vadsø on the Varanger peninsula a bit further east from Nordkapp. I never made the Cape but did drive to Berlevåg, Hamningberg and Vardø - all pretty extreme places. Lovely to see that land from above. I have a large family in Finnmark. I'll have to post your clips of their land so that they can see what it looks like from above. Paul in Oz.
What is your cruising speed?
We generally cruise at 80 mph
What an amazing adventure
Thanks for checking out the series
awesome trev, brings back some nice feelings and memories
It put a lumb in my throat Dave. What a flight!
Brilliant adventure and a lot of planning to fly nearly 3000 miles, enjoyable views all the way especially the fjords. A great amount of effort to edit required to enable us to complete the journey so successfully thanks Trev
Thanks Brian. Your comments mean so much to me 😊
VWD, my fellow Trike Pilots. And thank you for sharing this great experience with us.🎉

Awesome, thank you!
Loved this story. Thanks for sharing. Congratulations on making it to your destination and I will take that saying into my life. When was the last time you did something for the first time. You are both very inspirational.
