3:47 to 4:07 so much fun to practice. can you do a whole lesson on just this groove and expand upon it? I'm really feeling it! Edit: the last one too! more challenging, but when i slowed it down to 0.5x video speed i got the groove. Thank you so much!!
A percussionist friend got me into salsa bass back in the 90s and it changed my life. Instead of walking all over with harmony, I focused on playing roots and fifths and variations of rhythm. Always say I started thinking like a conguero... How much can I do with 3 drums?

Does it make a difference for the bass if it's based on la clave de son, or la clave de rumba ? I find la clave de rumba quite confusing because they play the & of 4 on each side of the clave, speaking mostly about the arrangement of horns and voices.
The second part doesn’t add up. You started on the one and turned that into the 4th count.. now I am confused 😕 I need to learn about syncopated bass for producing a song
tipico809 right on! Love this bass, I tried it out side by side with the Fender Elite Jazz Bass and they have different characteristics but deliver the same punch and low end! Definitely recommended
