Those nuts can be right buggers! My windy gun failed on the last lot I did - Eventually used a breaker bar with all my weight on it, after a few days soaking in oil. For 2 quid each I was certainly prepared to cut them off though.
I enjoy your views and I hope that don't think I I'm critical of your work .I have been working on wheel horse for most of my life I have never seen any of the awesome things that you have there maybe I need advice on a lister..I will call you
Hi Adam my favourite channel as always don't make nothing like it no more do they dreaded plastic these days cast iron bore go on for a good long time brilliant engine hope your having fun 😂
Well done fixing the pinched fuel line. But those blade nuts have got to come off one way or another, I don't rely on the air impact as you can apply much more torque with a breaker bar or a set of stilsons and I've not been beaten yet! But when you do have another go either wrap the blades in rag or wear welding gloves, now you've sharpened them its a different animal! One that bites!
The nuts are fine threaded lock nuts several dollars each here..and I never use a impact on mine it ruins your threads and you can put a wrench on the back of the pulpy and hold it and tighten it gently with new nuts
I have collected wheel horse garden tractor and attachments my whole life and I restored several over the years I have c serious and b s...and I have several new old stock kohler k series engine s just in case I might need one ao I call them Kubota insurance
You need the proper sockets for the rattle gun they are usually black you are loosing the shock with ordinary sockets plus the smaller gun can be better.
I keep several new nuts on hand the blades are discontinued by toro..they bought wheel horse in the 80s and no longer have the blades..a new deck is 1000 dollars a shell with no wheels. Bearings or spindles and belts so I try to buy a few cheap and scrap them out keep what you need and get rid of what you don't
Your shopping list for the auction now includes a good set of s.k sockets the best in the world lifetime guarantee and you jees a set of half drive..impact socket
Without a good Impact socket 1 and/1 /6 >sae your not going to break them free. Easily I always use a whire wheel on my dewalt 4 in. Clean the threads and oil them before I try to remove
Love the Barford videos 👍

Sweet little engine. Doing a fine job Adam
Aw sweet little mower I think mate.
Man that deck goes back on better than my MTD deck
Ow MTD (Lawnflight) can be buggers to get on and off.

Hi Adam my favourite channel as always don't make nothing like it no more do they dreaded plastic these days cast iron bore go on for a good long time brilliant engine hope your having fun 😂
Yeah I like all the older briggs engine. Right upto the Red top. Once they started on Intek and all that crap it went down hill.

Yeah they are bloody tight. I will get them off and rebuild the deck in the new year.
Happy Christmas
Coming on well
HI Adam. are the nuts on blades left hand thread due to rotation of the blades 🤔
No it's standard thread. I think I will need to cut them off and ger new ones. 🤔
You want a decent battery impact one I use is a kielder kwt_012 don't normally leave me stuck even on some really hard nuts
great video again adam please keep the cock ups in as we all can bugger things up
OK I will leave them in 😀
Great video again, are you going to do a video plating and welding the cutter deck.
Yeah I will rebuild the deck in the new year. Will gather the bits together.
Now thats not like you giving up to easy to get those blades off haha😂
The nuts are fine threaded lock nuts several dollars each here..and I never use a impact on mine it ruins your threads and you can put a wrench on the back of the pulpy and hold it and tighten it gently with new nuts
My mower has a 16HP dual cylinder briggs nice running engine older Flathead is not overhead valve
Ow is that the old diamond shap opposed twin?? Bloody love them engines.
I have collected wheel horse garden tractor and attachments my whole life and I restored several over the years I have c serious and b s...and I have several new old stock kohler k series engine s just in case I might need one ao I call them Kubota insurance
are you going to weld the deck up ?
Yes mate. Once we get moved and the weather improves. Deck will get rebuilt.
You need the proper sockets for the rattle gun they are usually black you are loosing the shock with ordinary sockets plus the smaller gun can be better.

1) That deck needs some serious welding! 2) Pulleys need greasing 3) Did you check the air cleaner?
Yeah I will be rebuilding the deck come the new season. And yes mate new airfilter after 1st video.
Sharping blades on machine means blades are not balanced, check to see you have no vibrations when running mower,or you could knock out bearings.
The blades have usa made nuts sae..mibe takes 11/6 inch maybe you have metric made wheel horses in England??
Wot no oil filter?
No these old cast engines don't have them.
🙂
When you replace that drive belt dont just go to an automotive store those are usually not quite the right size
those idler pulley bearings tend to fail too
Yeah will rebuild the deck when the spring gets here. She needs some love.
Without a good Impact socket 1 and/1 /6 >sae your not going to break them free. Easily I always use a whire wheel on my dewalt 4 in. Clean the threads and oil them before I try to remove
you smelled rubber I bet you peeled out LOL
Trust you 🤣🤣🤣🤣
if you want to sell it ????
No won't be selling it. Its ideal for out new house.
I'm shocked to see a wheel horse in your area
Man that deck has a case of rust cancer
Yeah I will do all that in the spring.
