I found if you can get past the first two episodes which I found to be slow it gets better and has great potential for the future. IMO I don’t think you should be comparing it to Yellowstone it’s more of its own thing
I binge watched this series. I thought that there was American money in the making of this and it was made for an American audience. I saw The Mad Max reference, and was disappointed that they had to do that. The acting was excellent. Another disappointing part for me was that there are no dogs in it. They kept showing the crocodile but it did not come into the story. I wondered if it was based on the Kidman family and that the antagonist was based on Gina Rinehart. She owns many stations now. I thought that the writers did a lot of background research into the Aboriginal stories in this Series. It is a good series but with flaws that the Aussies will see.
If you count Netflix as American money, than yes, definitely. Quite a bit of it, by Australian standards at least. I'm not sure what the original inspiration was but I agree, it's pretty good, just not great IMO 🙂
Have you seen it? What did you think?

Yes, I agree it's its own thing and say so in this review 🙂
