Yatsuka-no-Tsurugi Ikaishinshō Makora?) is the most powerful shikigami of the Ten Shadows Technique. Throughout its entire history, no user of the Ten Shadows Technique has been able to tame it.[1]
Mahoraga is conjured by the user using an incantation that recites "With this treasure, I summon..." (布ふ瑠る部べ由ゆ良ら由ゆ良ら Furube Yurayura?) before invoking the Divine General's name. Rather than form a shadow puppet with their hands to manifest the shikigami, the user simply extends both arms forward at a slight upward angle with their fists closed.
The shikigami itself is a towering, muscular humanoid figure with four wings protruding from its eye sockets and a tail-like appendage extending from the back of its head. Hovering just above this is a large eight-handled wheel that rotates as Mahoraga responds to new stimuli. Furu's Incantation of the Ten Sacred Treasures and this wheel represent a complete cycle and harmony. Mahoraga also sports black hakama bottoms and a white sash around its waist to cover most of its lower body.
The Divine General possesses the ability to adapt to any and all phenomena. If it is injured by a particular attack, the eight-handled wheel will turn, allowing it to adapt. If its adversary uses that same technique again, Mahoraga will counter it. This works offensively as well, adapting attacking to efficiently break through its opponent's defenses.[2]
Additionally, Mahoraga has the strength to shatter concrete or to hit someone through multiple buildings with a single blow. It also wields the Sword of Extermination, a blade attached to its forearm that is enveloped in positive energy, making it especially effective against cursed spirits.[3]

You'd have to become like as strong or stronger than sukuna, and even then the other shikigami you have are nothing compared to sukunas techniques combat wise, basically if all you have is the ten shadows You'd have to become by far the strongest sorcerer ever in the verse to beat mahoraga.

@@MattGarcyaDC Basically, he already knows the hand you revealed (which most sorcerers have only one as in their cursed technique), so it's best to use a different hand (like Sukuna switching to a flame arrow).

@@questionmark6020 Can Mahoraga beat Goku? This is an interesting question. The power system in DragonBall is much simpler than the ones in JJK, mostly physical strength and ki blasts, so it would be easier for Mahoraga to adapt to than, say, Gojo's limitless technique.
Goku and Vegeta also has a bad habit of starting in base and slowly transforms into more powerful forms, instead of starting at full power and annihilating his opponents outright. This also works in favor of Mahoraga. They have fought regeneration-capable foes that gets stronger, like Majin Buu and Cell before though.

Statements of character don't mean much without facts. Jogo said he would defeat Gojo. It was a statement, but how was it for him? Gojo said he would defeat Sukuna before he summoned Mahoraga. Did it happen?

I'm pretty sure Mahoraga has the ability like a Sukuna's mummy to be able to take and store wild curse energy in the surrounding environment. This ability is supposed to work passively and automatically, and I guess this could also help explain his ability to reviving and recovering himself instantly whenever after he is 'defeated'! 😮
Moreover, the Sword of Extermination he wields is probably more unique than I could have imagined. This mystical weapon seemed like he could use it to counteract and rebound the (certain) phenomena that his Dharma Wheel had managed to adapt to absolutely! 😲

The shikigami can only be trained if it's killed by the user of the 10 shadows participating in the ritual alone. If they start the ritual with another participant, even if they kill the shimigami, the ritual is void and the shikigami will not be tamed.

If you are familiar with DC comics, Mahoraga is like Doomsday only with slower regenaration and adaptibility.

I dunno about weaker regen, it got fucking vaporised by the slashes in Malevolent Shrine only to come back 2 seconds later fully regenerated.

The wheel spinning is not indicative to mahoraga switching from PE to CE its just a progression towards fully adapting to an attack type, in the sakuna vs mahoraga fight it would be slashing attacks.

Sukuna use mahoraga and agito as a 10s user it's count as 1 technique. He can't even use his own technique at that time. The fight would end earlier if he can use his CT then. Since maho can remove infinity and Sukuna just need to cut him easily.

Sukuna in his Heian form could constantly use domain amplification, bypassing Limitless and weakening Red, Blue and Purple(it's implied that he used DA to survive the 200% purple). Sukuna, with his cursed tool, could bypass infinity while using the tool to attack Gojo alongside having four arms meaning while neither could use their techniques, Sukuna would have the advantage, Sukuna's DE is also stronger, and with domain amplification, he is immune to Gojo's sure-hit, if anything, Sukuna weakened himself by relying on Mahoraga, and the battle was a lot closer than it would have been(as Sukuna needed to adapt Maho, meaning he couldn't use domain amplification to stop Unlimited Void)

It's crazy where a world like JJK that relishes on the full potential of their innate cursed techniques, only to have a force of nature like Mahoraga be an absolute nightmare who rely too much on it. Mahoraga just annihilates anyone who tries to beat him with only one technique.
Which suggests that the only way to beat this monstrosity is to be a multiple cursed-technique wielder (only Sukuna can do it) or an absolute nuke (Gojo's 200% HP).
Geto stands no chance against Mahoraga's Sword of Extermination. (Since he uses Cursed Spirits, and the sword is meant to reduce Cursed Spirits to dust.)
Mahoraga regenerates after a few hits and becomes resistant to it. Making brute force out of the question.
Once summoned, it won't go away and will kill anyone who tried to exorcise it, including the forced ones.
Basically, Mahoraga is a death sentence. You can run from it, but you can't hide.

I just realized Mahoraga is like Hercules from Fate. Big Raga's adaptation and the requirement to use different high quality attacks is just like his Godhand Noble Phantasm.
Queation is does Mahoraga's adaptation retain from every encounter and every summoner's ritual? If so wouldn't that make him substantially harder to subdue each generation?
I don't think so. A Mahoraga was supposedly summoned to kill a Gojo's clan head 500 years ago, so if this was the same Mahoraga, he would counter Limitless right away.
Safe to say that each generation of 10 shadows user basically refreshes all the Shikigamis abilities and status, restart the "pokemon" for each to replay.

Understand that Mahoraga taught Sukuna the Gojo family technique of hollow technique purple. Where Gojo knows it as such he wasn’t expecting Sakuna to be able to imitate the technique. Ok thinking about that every shikigami is infinite in numbers or they got some place where they live. Because mahoraga was killed by sukuna in shibuya (1 time) then again killed or tamed by sukuna off screen (2 time) then again killed by satoru.
=> Means we can summon them by ritual then kill them allow us to summon them (only if the one summon him through the ritual kill him not the outer one).
This means if sukuna got megumi body power till now he can Summon mahoraga again but he need to kill him and then summon him.
