The USWNT lost 5-2 to the Dallas FC ( top team ) Academy team. That Academy team were highly trained for years to get in to that Acade,y. They were all taller, heavier, stronger, faster than the women. It was also a training session. No one ( outside of the Usa ) gives a monkeys about a training session. Except the trolls.

The USWNT , unlike their male counterparts , have won the WC four times. The best record in the world. Unfortunately , the USSF , at that time , paid the men more , for not getting out of their group, while the women , winning up to 7 consecutive games, were paid less. So they negotiated a new contract. Only in America , not in any other country in the world. Your question should have been " why were the women paid less , for winning more ? ".
