Probably my favorite USWNT player all time..she was a beast
Tobin needs to be on the WC roster. When the offense is struggling, unable to break down a good D, Tobin is the player that can do it on her own. She did it against Sweden in WC 2019.

Tobin Heath is easily the best player that no one talks about. If I was starting a team it would be Hamm 1, and Tobin 2. Tobin gets no credit for how smart and technicality talented she is along with her field awareness. She only doesn't stand out because her peers can't see the game as fast as she does. And a true class act. Tobin Heath ... truly, one of a kind.

I mean, the level of confidence to just control possession and let opportunities come to your strikers. Kind of under appreciated her 2019 performance. Good stuff. Midge Purce has that same confidence on the ball.
Two player I liked & admire from the WC last year, Vivianne Miedema & Tobin Heath.I wrote about them a few times to me they are equally best, Now Tobin Heath playing for Portland Thorns l had no problem but playing for MAN UN (along with Christen & Jackie) I’m in a hard corner because I ❤️MU since mid 60’s when George Best was playing. I support The Arsenal ladies because of Vivianne & they are a fantastic bunch of girls & players.Of course I must support MU now as well I have too & when the time comes that they play each other, well I write my feelings then.I know we live in a world now with so many problems, that’s why I wish all of you people out there be healthy, safe 😄😄😄😄😄😄

Fabulous player, way better than other players unjustifiably above her in the FIFA rankings (Henry, Bronze, Rapinoe, Hegerberg)..
In this clip, Heath should’ve scored a couple times against Netherlands, she held on to the ball a bit too long.
Because people value scoring. Most of the U.S. scoring comes from in the middle - Lloyd, Morgan.... passes from Heath , o'Hara into the middle. Heath is always sending the corner kicks. Never on the receiving end. These other people get accolades but they mainly score because of passes to them

True, but contrary to most delivering wingers or backs like O’Hara (among most others), Heath delivers with such flair and flash, let alone blistering speed, she should get more recognition... I’d say comfortably FIFA top 2-3....
Heath’s speed combined with flair is also overlooked since other speedsters like Lynn Williams and Christen Press do not have the flair while running like Heath does...
I feel like what,I wanna say to the newly minted soccer fan is : 1) Soccer doesn't have a lot of metrics so therefore there are players line Heath who do yeoman's work all over the field in terms of pressure, in terms of perfect passes that initiate an attack, in terms of a 100 little things that don't have a box on scoresheet but coaches notice. Heath is excellent at that stuff.
2) Tobin would be one of those behind the scenes workers except she has a whole other level. THE SAUCEY SAUCE! 😆 Fan's love it even if it doesn't result in anything but she gets to show off a little bit. She kind of earned it though.
3) It'd be cool 😎 if it resulted in a goal more often like Lionel Messi does but there's only one Messi. But I bet if someone asked Messi to watch Tobin Heath and vice versa there'd be a mutual admiration there and respect.

Look at the moment against Netherlands. Move the ball. She had.a fast break with Morgan but went to the outside and then held, held, held on to the ball even with more people coming into the picture. Move the ball.
I love heath... BUT. I do think she needs to move the ball faster. She, and the U.S., might score even more, if the ball moves. It does die on her feet trying to be more fancy than she needs to be. Sometimes she needs to go or kick it. Look at the goal by Rapnioe. heath moved the ball. Most of the other stuff doesn't result in much. And before i get yelled at, her college coach said the same thing. All the nice stuff has to result.
But if u see it another way, she gets the attention of the defence where she’s mostly 1v2-3 sometimes 4 which leaves her teammates open making for the perfect assists and then goals, But And yeah at times it could be better if she did but I’ll be honest I like her breaking the defences in her way and doing her stuff with the ball, I’d watch her all day.

I see a ton of negative comments below and that is ok. The goal scorers get all of the acclaims and deservedly so. I am no expert on her but from what I have seen, she is tough as she can on the field. Not everyone is Wambach, Morgan, Lloyd Hamm, etc. So since I am still learning every day of my life, who would you all say is the toughest player on this 2019 team? All in fun folks. Just asking. Well the US won the World Cup in 2019 so there is that. Teamwork is the bottom line.
