    Dope video!
I absolutely love the day when you first time showed this stop. Its really amazing. I feel like its ok not beeing so humble about what you achieved.
Thinking about easy and silly things like beeing the best thing on earth can be so much motivation and what you show us isn't easy at all.

Youre so lucky to live in a developed environment, I stopped skating 5 years ago because of the street conditions and different traffic culture. So far, I'v gained weight, every joint hurts and I run out of breath by just walking. Keep up the hobbie Bill, and remember... Stay loooooww

Those are 90mm?! Man that impressive. I’m finding mine to be rather long compared to my ice skates, so I can’t maneuver as well as I can on ice. But seeing you gives me hope. I only need to become a pro at something that’ll probably kill me lamo

Interesting. I thought you dropping perpendicular to the curb to stick your landing. But you actually end up almost turning 180 dropping from the curb. The close ups are really helpful! Taking notes.

The rotation came as a surprise to me too on first examinations. This stop can be done straight on, with no rotation, but most of mine are on the slant, because the width of the walkway impedes the straight approach.

dude if you could just post some slow motion of your slide variations it would be so helpful. I feel like I never understood the physics of it until I saw 3:11. I want to see you try and do a good looking magic slide

    Stay low. Drop lower.
(but always be careful for pitfalls though.. here's a little story, it ends well I promise:)
Bill I have to say you've been probably my biggest inspiration over the last few years after I picked up skating again (after a break from my teens to my mid-30s). I've developed a more and more intense and powerful (but controlled) style and I love to be in that zone. A bit too much probably though..
Because 2 weeks ago muscles around my groin / hip started to hurt. Went for another session the next day and stupid enough to ignore the pain but smart (and lucky) enough to find a wonderful physiotherapist after realizing how much I was asking from my body without any proper plan to prepare it to such intensity (mind you, I watched - but apparently completely ignored - your videos where you explain how much thought and energy you put in proper exercise schedules etc. 🤦‍♂).
Good thing is this man seems to have a good understanding of what's going with which muscles etc. and how everything is connected with each other and how to fix things step by step. The great thing is he can think along with ways to prevent injury, become more aware of my own body and optimal ways to approach the activities I'd love to do in terms of exercise etc. So I'm very optimistic still, and if I choose to regard this whole thing as a valuable lesson I'm actually very thankful for this reality check. And very thankful for all the inspiring videos and the amount of effort you've put into those. 🫶

    That looks kinda terrifying.
I can do a hockey stop on a decent surface at pretty much any speed, but dropping off of a ledge is not something I'm going to be trying. It's cool to see it in action though. Thanks for sharing.

@@RyanHellyer my problem would be. Where could you practice such a thing? I know no steps in my city besides the footwalk, and they all end in a street.

Bill, How 'bout a power stop/slide tutorial so we can build up to your power drop? I can do it on ice skates, and rather aggressively on snow skis, but not yet there on inline skates.

You make those cuffs work real hard do you? Look at them flex!. I'm starting to get used to parallel sliding, will give your power drops a try when I can. I took your advice about going up sidewalks with a crossover and just skate them down, quite fun actually.

It's not a critique, I am just interested.

Is the power-stop (and power-drop by extension) just for show or bragging rights? It doesn't seem like a practical braking method when other ways to stop (like a t-stop or a tight 180/360) wont shred your wheels and are easier to control. In all my years of rollerblading no one bothered doing power-stops on blades until youtubers became a thing.
