Nice collection. The amount of skates anyone should own is based on a simple formula: n + 1. N is the number of skates you already own...always room for one more!
Always love your commentary 😁 Also, jeez, that's a lot of skates. I thought I was bad with four pairs in less than two years. Five, if I count the cheap crappy recreational skates I started out in, and still have a soft spot for, simply becoz they gave me back that feeling. I had not skated since I was nine and on rollerskates. I just love to skate, there's nothing like it. (edit: three of those pairs are FR1's.. I know, I know... I got a 2015 version 4x80mm pair, a 2016 fr1 310, and a rockered fr1.. Simply becoz I don't like the bother of swapping frames.. In my defense, I bought all of them at times when they were on sale)
Hi Bill, they all have some charm, but they talk to me the most gto spec. And when I would be limited by funds, Adapt gto s. With quatro frame 90mm weels 8x. A month ago, they were even 42 size in stock. Adapt is second in my hyperskate gto.
I learned how to skate with aggressive skating. Best time of my life! I skated so much that I felt weird when I had to walk, lol. I need to help my knees and take care of my hallux ridgidus if I want to skate again. I miss skating so much!
I have 4 years and i only probe 4 skates. USD throne Classic, Razors G10le, Razors Yuri Botelho and my new skates USD AEON 72mm Richie Eisler. Sorry my English, im learning. Good channel ⛸
Dude, I LOVE your attitude and internal swagger. I am relatively new to serious inline speed and marathon skating on asphalt bike trailways after cycling in too many 100+ mile per day bike tours (spinal stenosis) and love your review. Now after two years of using 80 mm wheels, with knees sore from years of heavy kickboxing, (kendo kickboxing on youtube), I have to decide whether to go to three wheels 110 mm or four wheels 100 vs 110 mm because I NEED A BRAKE on my skate. I have not mastered braking on my sore knees. Thanks for your reveiw. I GET your sense of humor also. You remind me of a number of black belts who scoffed at other masters.
Nice collection. Looks not an issue for me: they all wind up being duct tape colored. Def going to get a pair of Reigns one day. My only question is the width - my feet are wide right behind my toes. Great video.
The Reigns are heat moldable! They're hockey skates, follow the same procedures you would with hockey skates and you should be able to shape them to fit your feet. I would say my feet are pretty wide, and even without heat-molding, my skates fit comfortably, and as I got em sweaty and broke them in, they got even more comfortable.
I really appreciated what you said about the infinite passion. It should really be about how the skate feels. You can wear whatever you want to make up for how crazy the skate looks. But yes. Very often the crazy skates feel the best.
I seeing a lot of new videos about inline skating in last year, maybe this is a 'comeback' ? Just now finaly with 26years, when I just buy my first inline skates :)
As a suggestion. Why don't you try the aggressive skate with flat? Maybe is better in order to not get stuck on stairs and steps. You can also try the antiroker option instead of the sliding plugs you have now. Great video. Greetings from the Netherlands!
I couldnt agree with you more on the powerslides, i tried them on from a friend and barely made one block with them in the city with flat terrain. Thank god im not the only one
Bill, lets see a video of you trying aggressive inline! Also, there's some really good setups for skating flat on aggressive skates nowadays you should look into.
Great video. I haven’t skated for a while now. Now that I’m working in a new city with no friends, I feel like getting a new pair of inline skates and start skating again. Sounds like fun to just skate around the park and maybe break some sweat too.
None of them are for me, because i’m a figure ice skater transitioning to figure inline skates for off ice training. But this video was really interesting to watch, very informative!
I played hockey through college. Skated in Central Park and all over New York City in the '90's. I now live in the suburbs and thinking of buying a new pair of inline skates for recreation. I would be skating on local suburban streets. I like the idea of removable frames so in theory I could switch from 3 wheels to 4 wheels without buying multiple skates. I would think a nicely ventilated skate would be good that is stiff enough for stability and quick stopping in emergency situations. Is switching between 3 and 4 wheel frames feasible? Any advice you can provide would be appreciated. Thanks!
Bill, you didn't mention...and I'd really like to know. Do you mostly skate rockered or flat? I got into rockered recently and I love it. I have a pair of Bauer pro composite hockey skates from back in the 90's that are rockerable and I just switched them over and can't get over how fast I can turn now. Maybe not the best for fast street skating...especially if going downhill. I recently got a pair of Powerslide HC Evo pro skates that I absolutely love. They are a tri skate with a trinity frame and 3x 90 wheel. They are rockerable and I have them in the mild rocker where you only raise the front wheel or really lower the two rear wheels. Don't love the tri skates rockered as much as the 4 wheel set up. The 4 wheel set up is so like a real ice hockey skate and I love that. But the tri wheel skate in mild rocker is not bad, but not as quick turning as a 4 wheel and the aggressive rocker on a tri wheel is too tippy. Almost unskatable for me.
Andy, it's a nice skate...you'll like it. Let me know how you like them. Hope they fit well for you. Usually buy a skate one size smaller than your shoe size. You want them to fit snug. With your toes laying flat and coming to the end of the skate. What city are you going to be skating in and I hope you don't have winter weather now. I'm in Taiwan so I get year round warm weather. Take care
Best friggin video ever. Too bad kids are so lame these days. I remember playing street hockey on the beach parking lot in Southern California. Thanks for the video 👍🏼
I admit I'd even go an a date on the Adapt GTO. Beautiful skates, Bill! Great video. I bet Dexter caught on to your act and started showing off his toys in the background :)
i have been roller blading since i was 11, when i was 14 got my bravoblade , i was currently using them until today (i have 36 now the boot broke) so last me 22 years with wheels and bearing changes every 2 years, any advice to buy for me i would like something similiar , im not doing anything crazy anymore just skating to reduce my belly and have fun but all the models now looks weird to me like shoes , and hate show laces by the way thanks
Yeah, stair bashing on freestyle aggressive frame is, let's say, complicated!!! i am re-learning aggressive at 43, baby steps, KISS approach (keep it simple and stupid) frontside grind for weeks now, and then move onto soul grind. Good padding is needed for this cause crashes are a plenty. would like to see a video of you in the park though.
Is Seba Highlight Carbon in-line skate recommended for using for long distance such as 42km in Berlin Marathon? I am not going to go all out but want a comfortable ride so I can finish in 2 hours? Would that be difficult because I also have to run a full marathon the next day. I just want to inline skate the day before like a stroll in the park.
I bought some rollerblades for 150 and after 2000 miles I couldn't replace the wheels because the frames were trash. The part where the axels were attached to came of because it was some stupid proprietary designed axel.
I can’t find the Kronos on inlinewearhouse or proskatersplace. I am just getting into inline skating and I’ve just moved to the city and really want to try urban skating. Because I have done research on PS and like their Trinity mount system I am choosing to go with their brand. I like the styling on the Reign Apollo. Do you think this is a skate that I could start out with and progress in?
Great overview! What are your thoughts on off road skates in a flat dirt bike course? Too much work to be worth it? I know you said inflatables only on downhill but just wondering your take. Been looking into some for a local dirt bike course near me.
What would you rec for a 28.5-29cm foot that wants to freestyle slalom while still having enough wheelbase and stability to urban skate and maybe hit a bowl or two, while not being unwieldy at the roller rink? I'd ideally also like to be able to do wizard moves (hence "enough" stability), but I'm willing to throw that out in favor of the slalom moves. I'm fine with a convertible frame (IE 4x90 with slots for 3x110 short AND long (or just short) wheelbase) as long as there's a way to get rocker in both setups.
What should one do when discovering their style? And when you find your style, what should you keep in mind when buying new skates? Should you focus on the wheels and rack or do the boots itself also contribute to a skate style?
Could you explain what makes a good boot better than a traditional intro blade from RollerBlade? Is it the materials, how it fits, comfort, maneuverability, ect...?
I have a question.. so my toes get numb when I skate. Could it be because my laces are too tight? My foot fits snug and comfy into the boot but I dont know why my toes get numb
Hey, Bill. What would your opinion be on Zetra Blade? Been a long time since I last skated, and thought these would be great. Tried them out today and they got some good speed. Still need to work on my doing though. Hope to hear back.
Bill which skate is good for x-training // catching nice speed on bike paths? Also, thoughts on the rollerblade brand? I enjoyed my first skate 90mm macros but wanna push myself a little bit more now

Im about to give up skating since there is nothing for me
so, how about the wheels? you seem to slide very well on your wheels and I can't imagine sliding on anything I've been on which makes braking and stopping....tough
When I was young I used aggressive skates I tried some my feet hurt very bad lol I am way heavier I want to exercise should I change skates I want aggressive skates
Thanks for the video Bill. Great work, as always. I would like to know whether or not you heat mold your boots. I just got some new skates, and they are hurting my feet something awful. I'm nervous about baking them though, because I don't want to screw it up, and I don't want to make the problem worse.

Nice collection. The amount of skates anyone should own is based on a simple formula: n + 1. N is the number of skates you already own...always room for one more!
Yep, the good ole "amount of bicycles you own" formula, which can be applied to any hobby actually :)
Yep, funny how that formula is universally applicable! 😉
blind consumerism 😳
I have been thinking for 6 months to buy a second pair of skates. A lot of information here. Now I am more confused. 🤔
Always love your commentary 😁
Also, jeez, that's a lot of skates.

7:30 is perfect "I'm holding onto these in hopes to learn aggressive". We've come full circle!
"but right now with my level of expertise, all I can do is TALK SHIT" 🤣🤣🤣 I subbed when u said this 8:32
Great vid, wish you’d included he prices tho!

Bill ur amazing skater and making great videos, keep doing this great job on yt, its nice to watch u man.
Looking jacked Bill. Great video as always fella.
And yeah, please skate some Aggressive! I think you'd rip around some park quite nicely.
Why do you have so many skates, you don't even have that many feet?!
That's so funny.... LOL
If you have to ask...you wouldn't understand. Sorry...that's just the way it is. :"
You’ll never understand 😂
what part of skate collection did you not understand
It's the same thing with the guitars! hahaha
Hes hilarious without really trying to be haha

Totally LOVE this video......since its been 3 years, will you please create another one? I'm sure you have the new GTBs to add. :-)
"infinite Passion" As a skater we all feel that way, we just don't really------say it that way. Funny!
My favorite part😂
Would love to see an updated skate collection video!

I've never felt like air tires were the answer to off-road skating. Bill's a savage and even he can't have a good time on flat with the SUV skates.
Thanks bill for sharing your skates with us didn’t notice any hockey skates among the collection 👍🇬🇧

This is such a good video, helped me so much. Really appreciate the time you put into it.

Kinda curious is there any reason behind you not having a pair of skates from Rollerblade?
Ya, I have a pair of Metro GM pro blades that I really like. I heard the twister was a good skate for street if you like a plastic boot.
@@kchappelle I actually bought some Rollerblade Twisters today. Granted, I got them online, so they haven't arrived yet

Three WD with wheels size125mm that is my favorit skate
Wow I'm jealous of your skate collection.
I have 4 pairs of skates and all my friends think I'm weird. This guy really comforts me
Question Bill.
Do you think that power stops are somewhat easier on a 3 WD skate like the one you mentioned at 10:10?
Wondering what your thoughts are in Rollerblade and K2. You didn't mention anything from them.
What should one do when discovering their style? And when you find your style, what should you keep in mind when buying new skates? Should you focus on the wheels and rack or do the boots itself also contribute to a skate style?
'Tiring on the Flat' 😂😂
one quick question? what type of skate should i get, i do a lot of dancing on roller blades. but don’t know witch ones to get that will last a while
I just bought the Rollerblade Twister Edge for my skates. Hope I didn't get the wrong ones for a beginner.
Joey Martinez Those are classic and good first skates. Good choice.
Awesome skates you have there! All of them are blades. Where did you get them from?
hate to ask a dumb question that youve probably answered before. What were the skates called from the 90s that were used for like tricks and grinding?
I still love watching this
I have Solomon blades which are about 8 years and curious if it’s worth changing wheels for skating to work. What do you recommend
how's the sizing on all these? do they fit your exact shoe size?
Bill which skate is good for x-training // catching nice speed on bike paths? Also, thoughts on the rollerblade brand? I enjoyed my first skate 90mm macros but wanna push myself a little bit more now
Hi, I want to buy a pair of skates, but I am very confused. I am interested in these two brands and with these references.
Roller derby Elite Alpha 125mm vs Maxxum Edge 125 3WD.
What do you recommend me? I want speed skates and to run on the street.
I've noticed that a majority of skates in the local stores are hockey based. Are there any pros/cons to buying a hockey style skate vs others? I'm planning on skating mainly on the road.
found a cheap bauer hockey inline at my local shop, what do you think about it? i want to use it for normal riding around the hood on a asphalt road and the park
Top vid again, love all of them. Here in Wales got myself a pair of Powerslide, ripped myself a new Ass in July skates got ahead of me for speed, before I knew it I was lying flat coccyx like a Japanese flag!
I'm healthy again now, my advice, stay Looooowww 😉
What long distance skate do you recommend for a wide foot skater? None of the top premium skates fit me :(.. I've tried evos and Tau 2020 and way too narrow even after heat molding. I want to get into marathon skating and speed skating but non fits me, I guess skating companies such as powerslides don't care about wide foot skaters... Im about to give up skating since there is nothing for me
Bill, what size are the Reign Helios and, if you remember, what size were the Bauers you had? Thank you
so, how about the wheels? you seem to slide very well on your wheels and I can't imagine sliding on anything I've been on which makes braking and stopping....tough
I’m currently looking at getting Rollerblade Twister Edge X Black/Grey but was wondering if they are also ok to be used for inline hockey
Aren't the ones hanged on the wall a pair of figure skates? What's your history with them?
Superb video.
Anybody know where to get skates if you have bigger feet. Like size 14 and up but also reasonably priced?
can I lean to skate on aggressive skates? to be honest I just like the style of them more than others.
When I was young I used aggressive skates I tried some my feet hurt very bad lol I am way heavier I want to exercise should I change skates I want aggressive skates
I almost have my Macroblade 3wd 110 freeskate rollerblades coming to me in the mail, once I order them ofcourse. But yeah !! 🙃🙃🙃😄
Do you know if Sonic makes a tool compatible with Powerslide Trinity frames?
Thanks for the video Bill. Great work, as always. I would like to know whether or not you heat mold your boots. I just got some new skates, and they are hurting my feet something awful. I'm nervous about baking them though, because I don't want to screw it up, and I don't want to make the problem worse.
