My 20V Pack from Parkside (old Gen.) only shines the orange light (in the middle of green and red) when I press the test button and also doesn't charge - Could you please tell me what could be wrong here? Best Regards Toms

maybe you know how to turn on the charger without the parkside battery, to charge batteries from other companies?

      Hi
I don't think this can be done easily, the chargers supply voltage only if they receive information from the battery on the T terminal, this information differs from brand to brand.

@@CMCdiy the controller open a transistor.
I thought be enough instal jumper.
      but after checking the voltage.
      there is only 12v.
21v occurs when the controller causes a frequency on another transistor, and transformetor generate 21v

@@valdaskdn IC in charger requires a 'handshake' from battery, its a simple data stream that runs all the time during charging. if the data stops the charger turns off. this data signal seems to just be 'ok charge now' but there's also other data for temperature being out of range. I have seen this myself on an oscilloscope while applying heat to the battery thermistor.
if a cell goes out of range during charging then the chip stops sending data, forever! I have found no way to reset chips. I can find no real good data on the chip.
